We enjoyed our stay here for the one night we were in San Antonio. The staff was very helpful and the location allowed for us to walk to the main attractions and off the beaten path. The room was very spacious and quiet. Even though the hotel was packed due to a convention, I would definitely stay again.

Stayed here for about a week for a conference. No complaints about the room, its nice, quiet, and comfortable. Meeting rooms were convenient and well laid out. Only issue I had was with the microphones and the remote call-in participants. There were significant issues with the audio quality and some portion of the meeting was wasted due to technical issues. I'm not certain if this was handled by the hotel. Area restaurants are very nice; in room dining is very expensive (Chris Ruth's) but it's v... Read more

All aspects of the Hotel were exceptionally professional. The warmth & attentiveness of the staff is truly heartfelt. The Concierge & JR assisted in dining recommendations & directions. The staff @ The Grand Club were consistently truly caring that all guests were enjoying their stay. This is the way a Hotel should be operated.

Exactly what you would expect from a Grand Hyatt. Great front desk staff and concierge, beautiful, large rooms, decent size bathroom (with counter under sink), and probably the best hotel gym I've ever seen. All of the amenities you would want for a business hotel. Great bar, Ruth's Chis in the hotel. On the Riverwalk very close to great restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend this hotel.

As other reviews have noted, this is a very nice hotel in line with the Hyatt brand. The room was very nice and comfortable, and was located on a quiet part of the Riverwalk but was close to the main action. The bar was nice and had great craft cocktails. Note that parking at the hotel is not free, but this is typcial for hotels in downtown San Antonio. Views from our room weren't the best; we could see the Tower of the Americas, but our view was mostly of the [giant] roof of the Convention Ce... Read more

This hotel was very classy. From the moment you arrive there is someone there to help as this is a very large hotel. The front desk made sure everything was as I had requested. Even the housekeeping staff were so professional. I absolutely loved the plush robes! Being in such a large hotel, the staff made sure that I felt like a priority!

The location was good, very close to river walk, but also near a Denny's which was kind of scary place. I was on the 20th floor, which was cool because they had elevators that only went to 20 and above, meant things moved quickly. In my bathroom, the wallpaper was falling off and it was showing its age in general. I had room service once, it was reasonably good - but wow - expensive!!!! I might stay here again if I had a business trip to San Antonio.

Nice hotel in a good location. The place has a very nice exercise room and concierge room. The staff in the concierge lounge (Judy, Remir (?), etc.) were extremely friendly and helpful. Same goes for all the staff.

Staff here is excellent, and makes the trip. There may be "fancier" hotels in downtown San Antonio along the Riverwalk, but there are NONE better. Doubles are a feel a little cramped, but floor-to-ceiling windows keep from feeling claustrophobic. Beautiful lobby, 24 hour coffee shop with Starbucks coffee. Ruth's Chris on the lower level reliably excellent. Great gym and pool.

The location of this hotel is great! Close to the convention center (connecting even), close to the RiverWalk, restaurants and shops. The room service menu is somewhat limited but all of the food was excellent and the service fabulous. The public areas of the hotel are modern and well appointed. The room itself was average, but the room staff was attentive and responsive.

The Grand Hyatt was overall a great place to stay. The location is awesome. Access to the Riverwalk is directly across the street. Walking distance to restaurants, drinks, the Alamo and even a mall should you need to do a shopping. The two restaurants inside the hotel are great and allow for good options if you want to stay in. The one in the lobby has a nice happy hour on weekdays. The pool is awesome and so is the gym. I used them both daily and it added a lot of value to my stay. My only comp... Read more

Hotel was in a great location for the convention center activities. Sits on the River Walk where we enjoyed some of the off time during the evening. Rooms were good. Rooms were very quiet. Staff was commendable... especially the service engineer who took care of an issue with water pressure in the shower. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with business in or around the convention center.. Perks provided items of need 24/7. More food choices within a circular mile then you could... Right next to convention center with helpful. cheerful staff, what more could you want? Oh yes, and a club lounge that opens at 5:30AM. WHAT????? I had to be at the convention center, right next door, early a number of days. The premium we paid for the lounge access was worth every penny and a few more. Starting a long, early day with great coffee and a nutritious breakfast was great. We would return in a heartbeat.

Does not live up to its "Grand Hyatt" name. It's a nice hotel in a great location near Convention Center and Rivercenter areas. But no evidence of the expected services or amenities one expects at a Grand Hyatt property. Valet parking is $40 a day so check out the parking garages nearby. Hotel is on the river walk and walking distance to many great places including the new park that is under construction. The lobby and the rooms are nice but typical. We have conference all week last week at the convention. Grand Hyatt is just next door to the San Antonio convention center. Grand Hyatt is conveniently located to the river walk, the tower of America, the River center mall. Excellent location. The rooms are clear, and spacious. Best view over looking the city. People are nice. Pros: Close to all attractions. Cons: Expensive due to proximity

We had such a great experience! Our room was spotless when we arrived, and our Room Attendant (Theresa) made sure that it was just as spotless every afternoon when we returned from our day out on the Riverwalk. We were here for a large conference. There was a long line to check in, but the staff did a great job of accommodating. Everything was clean and quiet. I was recently at the Grand Hyatt for a conference. Without a doubt the hotel is beautiful, clean and in a great location. However, procedures for check in and checkout were shockingly awful! This is a typical convention hotel. 1,000 plus rooms located on the Riverwalk. Attached to the convention center which is a plus. If you wish not to walk the river to a restaurant you are limited to Ruth's Chris for both dine-in or room service. The onlu other hotel option is called Perks. Cold sandwiches and salads. I would have expected a little more from Hyatt.

We found this hotel through tripadvisor, excelente reviews helped us to decide for this option, great location, they have access to the riverwalk, for the restaurants and bars you have to take a 5minute walk. Staff is always smiling, concierge was very helpful. The rooms are big, great view, bathrooms with a lot of space.

Spend all this money and don't have any river view hotels in downtown San Antonio, Texas - on the river?????? So disappointed. And the room?? Not impressed. Low ceilings don't help the atmosphere in these rooms. Downstairs is okay, but busy. Dining rooms okay with not much seating however. There are better hotels on the river walk in San Antonio, Texas.

This is a nice Hyatt. Room was nice. The prices in the bar were high for drinks. And the restaurant on the river level, Ruth's Chris Steak House, is ridiculously overpriced for what it is (and I am not a cheapskate!). You can walk anywhere on the Riverwalk from the hotel., and it's a couple of riverbends away from the noisier restaurants and bars. Also near the convention center.

The hotel was very nice for the most part, room service was to expensive and not very good in my opinion and they didn't have much of a selection (Ruth Chris). Other than that it was great and I had a great time. bed was a little loud, but I slept well. The hotel room didn't have a microwave either, you buy a $90 steak, if you don't eat it all you cant heat it up and eat it later so that was a downfall as well.

In the middle of everything and next door to the convention center. I thought the food choices were rather limited BUT there were a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Parking is expensive, but again, location is everything. I had a child with me and came for a conference. She enjoyed the pool and being able to walk with her dad to the mall, Dave and Busters, and the Riverwalk. I really enjoyed our stay.

As long as you self park, you won't go wrong with this hotel. Great staff, beautiful building and rooms, easy access to the Riverwalk. This hotel has everyone all in one building. You can grab a cup of coffee on your way out, have a cocktail in their bar, enjoy fine dining in their restaurant or stay put in your room and order room service. Perfect accommodations for business and pleasure.
