Rooms are smaller but that's ok. We were only in them to sleep anyways. Staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. It was a short walk to the river walk. The parking is one of the cheaper in the area and our f-250 fit (indoor parking garage). It was a bit of a steep incline from the entrance to the first parking level but it made for some fun conversation. Rooms were clean! We would stay here again!

220. For a night that was supposed to be in a really nice hotel on the Riverwalk. Upon arrival, greeted by a young woman with an attitude and went to our room which was outdated, old, run down and an insult to any traveler paying 220.per night. Damaged furniture, cheap old sheets etc. Clean but just run down. I am NOT happy. 17. Per night for parking which was ok but even at 11 pm employees were driving like idiots trying to leave the parking garage. Ugh. Disappointed and angry

We just had a mini vacay in San Antonio and chose the Riverwalk Plaza to stay the night. Yes, the hotel is old, and the decor is plain, but it was clean and comfortable. It had bistro dining where the priciest item on the breakfast menu was $9.00. I ordered a breakfast taco and coffee which set me back a mere $4.95 with tax and tip! Although the steps to the Riverwalk are right across the street from the entrance, the hotel is a bit farther south of the busiest section. Perhaps i am not a go... Read more

What a great find. I was there for a meeting and was late registering so couldn't get into the meeting hotel. I found this little gem just a block or two away. Very well located and comfortable. Parking on premises is affordable and convient. My only objection was the lighting in the elevators. It was so dim I had to use a flashlight to see the keypad.

We wanted a room near the action on San Antonio's Riverwalk but had a budget to stay within. This place met our needs. A classic hotel with up-to-date rooms overlooking the river and a photographic history of San Antonio lining the walls this was a fun place to stay. Located just a five-minute walk from the Riverwalk restaurants, boats, and shops, it had just the convenience we wanted. If we return to San Antonio we will probably stay there again.

I stayed here for a conference and walked 5 minutes to the conference. I saved over $100/night, and it was worth it! I would recommend this place if you do not have a rental car. it is walking distance to the Riverwalk and restaurants too.

We stayed over memorial day and had never visited the city before. It's close to all you could want to walk to on the river walk and the Alamo! Great price for the location. Room was reasonably nice and there was a coffee shop/bar downstairs. We had a slight issue with our shower (no water would come out!!!) but they quickly fixed it, luckily in time for us to make our dinner reservations. About a 15-20 minute cab ride from airport. We would definitely stay again!

My husband and I stopped in San Antonio for the night. Thought we got a great hotel for a great price. Hotel is very close to river walk but not close enough to the restaurants as we hoped. Our flight got in early that morning. Although we noted we would be attempting to check in early (check in time usually 3pm) the hotel did not call us til about 2 pm to tell us our room was ready. They were not rude but certainly didn't make special accommodations for us being that we Had been traveling since... Read more

The building is old but in a classy way. Ok for families, but easy to hear running feet from the next room. Loved being on the riverwalk. Glad there was covered parking but the hair-pin turns to navigate were a little scare-y. The place is clean but there's no real restaurant and the bar is very small. The price was moderate compared to other hotels, but still rather high for what you get overall.

Rooms were too small especially the bathroom. Very little walking space. Coffeemaker did not work and there was no microwave to warm food. No complimentary breakfast but was given a $10 voucher but the food was $5 or more so expect to come out of your pocket.

A little far from amenities, couldn't find night dining close by it but was very close to the Riverwalk which was nice & interesting. The Riverwalk Centre was good and handy. Last night went to the main plaza and saw a light show which was beautiful.

Rooms were pretty dated. Carpet was pretty old. Seemed a little neglected. When I called to make reservation, was told they had a parking garage. They did but it was full. I had to park next door and could only pay for 8 hrs at a time. $45 for one day and had to go back to the super dark place to pay in the middle of the night and at 6:00 am. They didn't tell me about the one on the other side of the hotel that was $12 for 24 hrs. Kinda sucks they didn't let me know.

Hotel is misleading about riverwalk view. They charge more for river view but the view is on the riverwalk that has no shops or eateries on. Basically non used part of the river. Second, had problems with maids leaving our room short of wash towels our whole stay. 2 nights in a row had to call front desk for towels, and they threw away my own soap. After all the taxes and parking fees/night probably paid average rate.

Ok. Genuinely cool place. Meet Tanya when you arrive. Front desk has fresh chocolate chip cookies and sweet tea. Later find Robert in the bar. Really delightfully surprised. Beds are comfy and really close to the river walk. Coffee ago and bar for mellow nights.

Check in was quick and painless, received exactly what we had booked online. Hallways looked a little dated and in need of some repair, but the lobby area and rooms were clean and very nice. Pool area was clean and comfortable. Coffee shop, bar and restaurant have strange hours and are not open late enough to be of any use really. Overall a safe, clean hotel near to the Riverwalk where we were going to be spending time.

It would have been better, but in the middle of our stay we were asked to move our car form one level of the garage to another for no reason. It would be OK, if they did not charge for parking! WiFi was painfully slow. The use of shower required special engineering skills.

We recently had a girl trip and decided to stay at this hotel because it said it was right on the river walk. It was on the riverwalk but several blocks from all the restaurantserves and shops. So we walked a lot!!!! It is an older hotel so elevators take longer and hallways are small. If your looking for a glamorous hotel this is not it, but it is very nice in the lobby, restaurant and bar area. I probably will not stay here again just for accommodation and location reasons.

Stayed here on a girls trip. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel - other than sleeping & showering. The room decor is a little outdated and the room carpet needs to be replaced - and should be one of the hotels priorities.

The place needs so much work done, would never stay there again. It's on the worst end of the riverwalk and extremely outdated. The pics provided make it look like a new updated hotel, but not so much. You can find sooooo much better for $120 night. Actually a pretty nasty place to stay.

We spent 3 nights at the Riverwalk and were drawn there by 2 considerations: 1) it was on the Riverwalk & 2) it was reasonably priced compared to many of the downtown San Antonio properties. It is an older, somewhat dated property but has a a sort of Art Deco thing going in the lobby that makes it appealing. Typical of the hotels of the 50s & 60s, a predictable room layout, low counters in the bathroom and a temperamental shower - lots of hot water though, and decent pressure. Beds were comfort...
