I recently booked this hotel for 2 nights almost $400 for that with breakfast included. But the breakfast was so simple like just waffles and cereal or muffins. La Quinta or holiday inn are cheap hotels but they add a little more to the menu. Anywho the pool was dirty and there was broken glass on the floor which I stepped on some. The hot tub was not a hot tub because it was super cold it, apparently it was broken, and never saw no one trying to fix it. The room was dirty the mirrors were so di... Read more

My usual experience with microtel is great all the way around. The rooms in this location ARE great as far as cleanliness and what you expect from this chain. However, the morning breakfast was horrible. No hot breakfast, the stands were there but nothing on them. The orange juice was syrupy and undrinkable. They just stuck a bottle of milk out for the cereal, but that probably would have given me the s**** so I declined. This was all experienced about 45 minutes after 6 AM when breakfast is ser... I had booked for three nights. It seemed the air conditioner had a 4° plus or minus. It would get 4° above the set temperature and you would be burning up before it kicked on and they want to got about 4° below the sept timber to hear you were freezing the night was miserable. They had not vacuumed around the baseboards in quite some time. The pool was so dirty you could not swim. This manager needs to be replaced I stayed in the same hotel about two years ago and it was fine

We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past, and we were always happy, but it has gone downhill in some ways. We certainly understand not changing the bedding each day as it saves water and power. However, my elderly mother spilled coffee on her bed. We were out when the housekeeper came, and it wasn't until the next morning that I noticed the stain and that my mother had slept on the sheets overnight! How can you make up a bed with coffee stained sheets? I went to the front desk, told ... Read more

This was our first stay in a Microtel. We chose it because of Wyndham Rewards and proximity to Lackland AFB (grandson graduation) Advertised price was great, but dates we selected MUCH higher...obviously high demand for the days of graduation. Anyway, location good. Appeared to be fairly new and clean. We stayed in 128, a queen room. Walls are VERY thin. Seemed more like staying in an RV...just enough room to walk beside the bed. A/C banged and rattled until hubby jammed his boot against... Read more

My husband and I chose to stay here for one night of our trip. The room was clean and the staff friendly. We went to the pool to find that the water was green in color - didn't swim - and the hot tub wasn't exactly hot. The walls in the hotel don't seem to be sound proofed in any way. We went to sleep to the sounds of a raging party next door, and were woken up at 5 am by the incessant alarm of the same party. The alarm went off for an hour. -_- For a single nights stay, the hotel isn't ba... Read more

We went on a family trip to Sea World and the river board walk. Only about 18 minutes from Downtown and only 7 minutes to Sea World! Very convenient location, its secluded, right off the fwy but also close to many food places and Wal Mart right up the street Our room and overall property was very clean. Only complaint was the WiFi was very spotty and I wasn't able to connect much. Overall worth the stay!

This is a two star hotel. With that said it met expectations. The room was comfortable, cable television, the air conditioner cooled the room to expectations. As others stated, breakfast could've been better with a meat product. Thin walls but again, a two star hotel. Very close to SeaWorld and please type of restaurants nearby, plus a Walmart. We played in the pool. I'd stay here again if going to SeaWorld.

I stay at Microtels when possible, since I have had good experience with the chain. This particular Inn needs to pay better attention to details. Microtel is hard to find since it sits off the highway and there is very little signage on Loop 1604. When I arrived (about 5pm), there were two guests waiting for service at the desk. We all waited for the sole employee to return to the desk. The first lady wanted additional towels, none were available, which seems odd since the hotel has a nice pool.... Read more

The hotel room was fine but common areas were filthy and not well air conditioned. Door to outside pool key card was broken and had to walk around to the front to get back in. Breakfast was also sad. It was close enough to Seaworld. The room was clean new building. WiFi was good. Room was a little tight for a queen bed. For the most part it was a good value so don't let my complaints totally cloud that. But, the hot tub was low on water and barely bath warm. When I turned on the jets it smelled sour so I got out thinking the chlorine levels were too low. Breakfast was minimal. Waffles, muffins, toast, English muffins, cereal, yogurt. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean - AC problems from the start which is an issue in SA in July! Cleaned AC filters myself - seemed to help. Was advised by staff the motion sensor in the room controls the AC and if you're off working for 12 hours + you can expect your room to be warm when you return - 78 degrees each evening. Gave a spare key to my friends who would randomly go in my room and set off the sensor so the AC would turn on. Got it down to 73 which was a welcome relief after being... Read more

Microtel's lodging was excellent as always, until we walked into our room on the last night of our stay and were assailed by a skunk stench. We were up on the second floor so that little stinker must have exerted itself to lob his bomb so far and so accurately.
