Good hotel for the price. Liked the proximity to downtown. Have stayed there before and will again. Pool is clean and breakfast was good - waffles, pastries, fruit. Good family friendly and good for groups.

It was a great experience staying there. It was our first time at this location and we will definitely be back! Can't say enough about the convenience of the location. It was near everywhere we needed to be.

Great price for the location and easy to access! We stayed here and went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Also very close to parks, shopping, and restaurants. We also brought our dog that was able to stay while we rode some rides!

The room, location, and appliances were all wonderful. However, noisy neighbors next door killed the experience. I have children too, though they were not with us on this vacation. I wished our neighbors would have been more mindful of late sleepers.

This is a very clean, quiet hotel. The staff is very helpful with any issues you may have. I will stay here again if the need comes up again. When I requested a refrigerator for the room they had someone deliver it within a hour of check in.

Cashed in 11,000 points to get a room and was highly disappointed. Old building with lots of run down amenities. The Breakfast in the morning was a joke. Over 30 people fighting over two waffle machines, along with no milk for the stale and old cereal. Plus not a single employee looks like they wanted to be there. Was just plan bad!!! Stay far far FAR away.

The room was good, service was friendly and quick. The breakfast is the usual, continental fare. They are pet friendly and close to shopping and fast dining. Close to downtown and medical center. I was on a business trip traveling with my puppy on a rainy week. Everything worked as it was supposed to and the internet was passable.

I stayed here with my husband and children. The front desk clerk was very friendly and he conversated with all the guests before me who checked in. He even suggested places to eat at. I wish I knew his name to give him credit. The room was nice and cozy and I was given a roll away bed with no hassle. My kids really enjoyed the pool. This hotel was very family friendly and it was obvious by the many families who were out at the poolside in the evening. I have never seen anything like it and I w... Read more

We stayed one night at this hotel. The A/C would not cool the room off, and the unit smelled like mildew. I am 5'4", and the shower head came out of the wall about the height of my nose. I had to hurt my back to get my hair rinsed. The room had flying, biting insects in it. I would expect this from a cheap ($50 a night or less) room, but not for a place that cost $110.00 per night. Even the breakfast was very limited compared to other local hotels that cost a similar amount. We won't retu... Read more

The breakfast was hot. Close to the highway but it was still quiet at night. Would stay here again. The staff was very friendly. The location was near stores, restaurants and gas stations. That was very convenient. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of blankets to keep you warm.

Always enjoy my stays at La Quinta and this facility was very nice. Everyone was helpful and courteous. The rooms clean and the pool was cleared of noisy swimmers promptly at 10 so others could sleep.

I love that this hotel participates in a foreign exchange program. Everyone I met there was super nice! Especially Matt and Talha(SP?) the neighborhood left a bit to be desired. I had never been to San Antonio so am not familiar with any areas there. This was not an area where I would feel very comfortable walking around alone. But the service was excellent and the rooms were clean.

The grounds were not kept up with although the hotel had a nice pool area. We requested a non smoking room, but when we arrived and entered our room it wreaked with the odor of cigarettes and trashcan had trash from the previous renter. We have an infant so they offered to switch us to another room which we did. When we entered the other room it still smelt like smoke, just not as severe. I do have to say the beds were clean and comfortable along with the bathroom. The breakfast variations was d... Read more

Decided to stay in San Antonio an extra night, so caught a room here using LaQuinta Returns points. Joseph at the front desk was very professional, speedy and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a little one-hitter coffee maker (which I never use because it can't spit out coffee quick enough for me) and a microwave in room. I had to request a mini-fridge for my room as I had some food. Joseph was very proactive in getting me one. I really appreciate the attentivene... Read more

The hotel was ok - staff is very friendly and helpful. Only had 1 problem - smoke smelling room when requesting non-smoking. Breakfast area is hard to navigate = food is placed in several nooks and some hard to find, but good variety.

This is an older La Quinta, but it is very well kept up. Good air-conditioning, plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower, great mattress, nice television, convenient location right off the expressway. It was also very quiet and a good place to bring your dog. Breakfast was standard fare; bagels, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, etc. Nothing fancy, but sufficient. And the price was reasonable as well. I believe it was right in the $75 a night range. The poo... Read more

We were in San Antonio for a funeral and needed several rooms with different arrival dates. I called to make reservations for six different rooms for family members. Front desk worked with me and understood my needs and were so understanding. Very helpful front desk, went out of their way to help us. All rooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and would stay when I return to San Antonio

Don't let your kids swim in the pool!!! BOTH of my kids came out of the pool with BLOODY feet!! We have been swimming in all different pools this summer and never experienced anything like this! The staff was very unhelpful and unapologetic. We will never stay here again... not to mention the cleanliness of the room was lacking, especially the bathroom.

Because it is probably the peak season for this town, the price was a little high for the type of hotel that it is. The Staff was very nice and helpful. This is a nice place to stay when you are on the run.

For several years we have chosen to stay at La Quinta Vance Jackson. Whether we are doing a convention downtown or visiting family out on hwy. 90. The central location is convenient without the higher price tag of the Riverwalk or SeaWorld locations! Always clean, safe, and friendly; our choice for ALL our stays!

La Quinta San Antonio - Vance Jackson Inn well served our needs. It was a convenient location to where we needed to go. Everything we needed was available. We appreciated the foods available in the morning and that we could have our pets with us. The staff is excellent. We appreciate this La Quinta and we will use it each month when we return to San Antonio.

As usual, casual travel with my partner for a weekend get away to San Antonio. I choose the La Quinta Inn Vance Jackson location for course location. It is located minutes from downtown and close to restaurants and stores. The location is right of I 10 and intersects with loop 410. There are plenty of restaurants around and shopping areas and a mall. The price is better than renting downtown, that's for sure. The rooms were nicely equipped. I personally gave points off because of the LIMI... Read more

I'm guessing they were going through renovations. We were traveling cross country to San Diego from FL. The hotel was pet friendly and the room was clean. The tub was sketchy, the exercise room was okay but the pool was down right gross. It looked like a pond the water was so green and murky. I thought a fish was going to come floating to the top. Needless to say my kids did not want to swim and was looking forward to a pool. Aside from sketchy amenities, hotel was ok.

I booked this room and paid for it in full through hotels.com and when I went to check in the front desk clerk proceeded to tell me that since I'd book through expedia.com (hotels.com) that I needed to pay a $75 plus tax deposit, which was $86.25. I asked why and he told me because they'd found that people that normally paid through expedia/hotels.com took advantage of the pre-paid status and would end up taking TVs and such from the room and they'd have no way of recovery. I argued with the cle... Read more

The main complaint is the loud mini fridge which kept me from sleeping. It sounded like a UFO was going to land in the room. They could do with getting real pillows also not baby pillows. Get some real coffee!!

Rooms are clean and well designed. Very comfortable beds. Staff is very efficient and helpful. This is not a new property but it is a great value. A breakfast menu is provided, however, we go to the nearby IHOP for a full-menu breakfast. Easy access from both directions on the freeway.

The exterior was obviously old and well worn, however, the room was clean and in pretty good shape. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was typical LaQuinta... same old thing but all you really need or should expect. It is fairly easy to find and easy on/off Interstate 10.

Although we were slightly disappointed at first: got the wrong room and a fridge was not provided despite triple promises, things were corrected in the right way by managemnt. This is how customer service should work! Rooms are spacious, decoration is average. Location is smack down the highway in the middle of hustle and bustle San Antnio streets.
