This is a gorgeous property in a fabulous location. Situated in between the Alamo and Riverwalk (with tremendous views of both) you can't do any better. Wonderful staff. Immaculately clean. Fully renovated. Note this is NOT the Grand Hyatt - this hotel is much nicer, and better situated than the Grand. Amazing pool deck (though sadly, no spa) on the top floor with wonderful views all around.....

Normally my wife and I frequent Hilton properties, but this time we decided to try out the Hyatt with the assumption that it would be an upgrade. The picture of the rooftop pool is what sold me. It reminded me of the one at The Grand Hotel in Toronto. The actual pool is actually quite small and unimpressive. I was also disappointed with the room. It was on the smaller side and nothing remarkable about it. Home wood suites has nicer rooms. The restroom was on the small side as well. On the posi... Read more

Great room and comfy bed, good sound insulation form other rooms. A few disappointments: Was upgraded to Riverwalk view for $10/night extra but was disappointed that upgrade got us a view 90 degrees angle to the Riverwalk, basically looking at an ugly rooftop, but could see a bridge with a little water peeking from under if we put our nose to the window and looked to the side. Not at all what I would call "River View". The amazing atrium water feature was under repair and unsightly. The AC unit ... Read more

Absolutely one of the best experiences of my life. My party of 20 for a business meeting arrived to find a mix up on our corporate end and had reserved a different Hyatt in San Antonio. The folks at the Hyatt Regency literally did a month's worth of work overnight to accommodate my training meeting from a block of rooms to the meeting room, the technology we needed, and even breakfast and snacks at breaks. If you want sincere service. this is your place. We shall absolutely return!

I reserved my king size bed room a few weeks in advance. When i got up to the check in lady, I was told the last kind size bed room was just taken. I was given a 2 full size beds instead and the view was and old run down building. My husband and I couldn't sleep on the same bed since they were quite small. We had to lay on our sides if we wanted to lay next to each other. Hotel was clean and I liked that you had to be a guest with a room key to use the elevator to get up to the room floors. ... We just spent a night in a riverwalk view suite, Rooms 102 and 104. The bedroom was spacious and faced out into the hotel common area. The large living room had a murphy bed for the kids and faced the riverwalk. We had a couple of issues that Hyatt management resolved in typical Hyatt fashion. The hotel is literally steps away from the riverwalk and Alamo both. All in all, it's a very nice hotel with a great location. Jose, at the front desk, was exceptionally helpful. This place has a fantastic location. Theres no denying this. The outside of the hotel is beautiful, however the inside obviously shows its age, despite hyatt's attempts to spruce up the hotel. First and foremost, we were surprised to learn that my truck would not fit in the garage. Its stock, no lifts, no big tires. The valets said it was "oversized" and could not fit and my choices were to park around the corner in an open lot, or pay $60 dollars a day to park it in front of the hotel. The... Read more

Stayed for a conference. Location is great for tourists. Alamo on one side, riverwalk on the other. Conveniently located within walking distance of tons if places to eat. Not sure of what other attractions are nearby as I was here on business and not looking for family attractions or sight seeing. Elevators can be slow. Fed ex office located in conference area. Staff are friendly

The parking was a little difficult but check in was very pleasant. The bell hop was very informative. He made sure everything was in great shape in our room. The convenience of the location on the river walk was excellent. I walked through the door and was on the river walk.

My career has been customer service oriented for over 30 years so I am definitely a stickler. The Hyatt Regency exceeded my expectations. Each and every staff member that I encountered smiled and greeted me each day. I could tell our house keeper did not English well but she said hello and laughed each day. We booked a king room and upon arrival was given a double seeing as no king rooms were available with a promise to move us to a king the next day. The following day, we were moved to a s... Read more

If you have a special event airing on TV beware we were ther on election night 2016 and the TV signal would go in and out. Hope your room isn't on the side were they are renavating a hotel because your wake up call is backup horns and construction noise.

We had a wonderful stay the staff was very attentive and accommodating. From the time we drove in to the time we departed excellent customer service. The room was a good size for 3 of us even with a roll away bed. The king sized bed was comfortable. The location is great as you are right on the riverwalk and lots of restaurants and entertainment.

Spent a couple nights in San Antonio for pleasure. This hotel was perfect. The reservations were easy and quick. Also easy check in and parking. Riverwalk is directly behind and adjoining the hotel. Easy walk to many dining and entertainment venues. Front of hotel looks directly down on the Alamo, a quick one block walk. The restaurant and bar are very nice and the lobby is beautiful and beautifully appointed. Rooms are modern and updated and the beds are very comfortable. I highl... Read more

1st Time visit to San Antonio. This property is a good choice for a central location to the riverwalk, Alamo, and other downtown attractions. Clean rooms, with comfortable beds. We enjoyed a football game in the Alamodome during our visit.

What a terrible design choice to have rooms that overlook the inside of the hotel. There was no natural light and I had to keep the drapes closed so everyone could not see into my room. Hyatt is supposed to have good beds - they don't - lopsided, lumpy and well used. Staff were friendly and seemed to be sincere in their offers to provide service.

Had always wanted to see the RiverWalk. And, the hotel. Spot on. Perfectly situated. Has part of the river running through it, with a cascading waterfall on the river level. Very sophisticated presentation. Staff was gracious. Only ate their once and service and food was very nice. There are other major hotels there "on" the river walk. Technically true, but in fact removed from where the action is. Hyatt Regency is centered on the popular part of Riverwalk.

Perfectly located above the River Walk and across the road from The Alamo. From check in to check out the staff were courteous, friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious and it overlooked The Alamo. The room was very clean, a credit to the cleaning staff. Our room was very quiet and the bed comfortable. Being above the River Walk there was an abundance of restaurants and bars on the door step. Driving to the hotel was easy and the friendly valet staff looked after our vehicle and gave u... Read more

Awesome customer service all round - great location accessible to Riverwalk and all the San Antonio Attactions! Room great size and view from windows are wonderful. The rooms were well equipped- and many amenities available in the room and upon request. Best thing for me was the coffee maker. Restaurant services were great lunch and dinner selections were good.

Nice location right on the riverwalk, so convenient to the Alamo, lots of good restaurants. I was there participating in a small conference, and the facilities and service was quite good. We did not get a room with a great view, but that was understandable with the conference in the hotel at the time. The rooms were however very nicely furnished, very clean, and service was better than most places. I would recommend to others and stay again.

Nice room, nice food, excellent service, but this hotel has no soundproofing. Four nights of sleep were ruined because the noise from the clubs at street level (I was on the 8th floor), cars, and people being loud in the hallway was ridiculously loud. It doesn't matter how nice the rest of the experience is if you can't get any sleep because of noise.

Self parking is directly across the street - self parking was $29 a day! In room wifi was free. If you choose to stay here, be sure that your room does NOT face into the atrium. If there is a boisterous crew in the lobby bar, as there was when we stayed, it will be as if they were in the room with you. Our revelers had cow bells. Also, adjacent balconies with loud conversations present a problem. The folks above and beside us were abusive when very politely asked to take their conversation inside. The atrium design is dramatic, but not conducive for sleep, which is essential to the ho... Read more

The hotel had wonderful employees and was beautiful. We were just disappointed because we paid extra for the River Walk view and we put on the first floor. We had a view of a tree with a little view of the river. I think the view would have been beautiful on the upper floors, but I would not have paid extra for a view of a tree.

The staff was all, to a person, kind and thoughtful and considerate. The bartender remembered I liked water with no ice (after I had been there just once the night before!) And brought it right away. The valet guys were super. The food, which I mostly ate in the bar due to super busy restaurant, was absolutely beautiful and very tasty too. (I'm picky) Downside: Valet parking $40; self park $30; around the corner flat lot was $15.) Also, security on the elevators- you can't go up to rooms ... Read more

Valet even ran to my car for an item left behind without any issues. Excellent customer service start to finish! Can't beat location smack dab in the middle of it all.
