Although part of the IHG chain, it retains it's charm, and has a quirky bent to it! Good access to The River Walk, and EXCELLENT location for anyone going to The Tobin Center which is right across the river. Staff were okay...very minimal contact with anyone!

Loved the convenience and look of this hotel. Great bargain. Close to the Ricer Walk and some sites. Rooms are clean and modern. One issue...balcony rooms offer a view, but also the smell of constant and annoying cigarette smoke from inconsiderate neighbors smoking while you are on your adjoining balcony.

The hotel is situated at the North end of the Riverwalk, but just take the river taxi to get to all the restaurants and shopping offered South. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, friendly front desk staff, really good breakfast options and service. Parking is located across the street from the hotel, but plenty of parking spaces. The hotel has a bar but not a big selection of wines if that's what your looking for. Nice outside patio to sit and enjoy the morning or evening. Will stay here ... Read more

We selected the Hotel Indigo Riverwalk, in part because of the location, and also the photos of the contemporary rooms with hardwood flooring. The room did not disappoint. Nice sized room with comfortable beds. The bathroom was great, with a stand up shower which handled my 6'3" frame nicely. Our only disappointment with the room, was the housekeeping. Staff failed to replenish all towels and wash cloths. Did not replace a drinking glass when we used one as a vase for flowers my wife was given. ... Read more

The hotel itself looks really nice, the lobby, the outside and the pool. I can't speak of all the rooms but the room we were in smelled really humid like they had water damage in the room that wasn't properly taken care of. The nice looking wallpaper that's on the wall behind the headboard of the bed was peeling at the seams, same thing with the wallpaper in the bathroom. There was no tub in our room. The shower looked liked it was recently caulked and it didn't look very pretty. In general I wa... Read more

The Hotel Indigo sits right on the river, across from the Tobin Theater and its pretty outdoor space. It's about a 20-minute walk from the central part of the Riverwalk and a 30-minute walk from the restaurants around the old Pearl Brewery area. Walking along the river in either direction is very pretty, peaceful, and gives you access to several local sights. Room service was good. Food was just okay (except the cheesecake, which was wonderful. Order the cheesecake!). Patrick, the room service delivery guy, was very personable. Front desk clerk was also very nice upon check-in. However, hotel is LOUD (thanks people with barking dog in room next to me at 11:00pm) and internet is AWFUL. Seriously awful. Location is good, not in the heart of Riverwalk but easy walk to most attractions. Hotel public spaces are shabby and dirty. Room was dirty and smelled bad. When we checked in we asked for room to be cleaned up from evidence of previous guests and stained bedspread replaced. There was no difference when we returned. This hotel has not been well cared for and it is sad. Front desk was indifferent like people who have heard it so many times they are tired of hearing it.

Here's the top reasons I gave this hotel 4 stars: it is right on the riverwalk, but out of the main area so its quieter and only a 1.2 mile walk to the Pearl Brewery District, with the San Antonio museum of art along the way, and the tourist area just .8 the other way; they are so dog and kid friendly I don't have adjectives to help me describe how dog and kid friendly they are (we had 3 kids and 3 dogs and not once did they ever complain when we tromped through the lobby, through the little b... On the positive side, the room was large and decently furnished; there was even a mini Keurig coffee maker. Nice stay at this hotel. It was a good location and a short drive (no more than 15 minutes) to many of the sights we wanted to see. And wood/laminate floors, so no nasty carpet! Small pool with padded lounges and chairs was clean, and there's a larger patio area with pad... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk September 1 - 4. We were really pleased with this hotel. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Had a nice little restaurant where we ate dinner the first evening and breakfast every morning. Food was very good. Happy hour at the bar was 4:00 - 7:00 which we definitely took advantage of. Our room was very clean and spacious with 2 queen size beds and big flat screen tv. There was a big patio area... Read more

Enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary this past week. The Room was Great! Nice cold rooms! Jerry and Sam great waiters! Breakfast was delicious! Loved being able to catch the water taxi and ride up and down. The pool was under remodeling so we couldn't use that space. Inside hotel decorated very well! Loved the beds and the linens. Highly recommend!

We went to the Indigo Hotel on the Riverwalk to celebrate our anniversary. It is like 10 minutes walking from the Riverwalk action, that is not bad at all, the lobby it's okay, the hallway had a nice carpet but it was very dirty and smelly, my room was nice and big, didn't have a carpet so that was a plus.My room was very very clean, very comfortable bed and pillows, the bathroom was clean and nice. The view from our room was very good. l I think the only issue was the dirty carpet.

We chose the Hotel Indigo because of the close proximity to the Tobin Center, where we were attending a show. With an elderly parent with me, I needed something with close proximity to our destination. From the time we checked in with Alex, we had nothing but wonderful customer service. He even showed us a shortcut to head over to the Tobin Center later that night. We had a great room with a large balcony which was great. The only drawback which did not affect us, since we were only downtow... Read more

Very nice, beautiful hotel I'd highly recommend, but not for everyone. Bonus points for being unique. It's on the Riverwalk, but kinda far from the "action". I consider this to be a key advantage due to the immediate access to the Riverwalk, yet being a bit apart, there is an unexpected real serenity to the hotel setting. If you have mobility issues, or a Party Animal that wants to be "in and amongst it", this is not the place for you. This is THE place to be if you want quick access to Riv... Read more

We recently stayed here with our two small dogs. It was nice to have no carpet in the room and they told us we would have to pay a pet fee which we were fine with. It was right off the riverwalk and the water taxi stop was right there. Although you should call the number at the water taxi stop before trying to take it. It was usually a 20 plus minute wait for the water taxi to arrive. I would love to give this hotel more stars as it was beautiful and nice. The only issue we had was our shower wa... Read more

Hotel Indigo is a clean, quiet facility with decent parking and an excellent staff. The Riverwalk location is close to most tourist attractions. What Hotel Indigo is not is the carefully edited photos on their website. The hotel seems to be in renovation. But our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. While I could hear the TV in the room next door from the hall, (loud enough to make out the specific program) I heard nothing in our room. If we had a quibble with the room it was the lack of a tub... Read more

This Hotel has a great location on the Riverwalk and is close to some great restaurants. The Hotel staff checked us in very quickly and took care of all our special requests right away like a roll away bed or extra towels. The beds were super comfortable and we slept fantastic. Thier restaurant has a great breakfast menu. We had oatmeal with almonds and cherries, a spinach florentine egg croissant and a Tex mex burrito. All were delicious and the waiter was extremely attentive. And they had amaz... Read more

Recently traveled to San Antonio Tx and stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Indigo. Older hotel but very nice. Room was great and beds comfortable. Loved the wood floors in lieu of nasty carpet and the murals on the walls were beautiful. Really enjoyed the Keurig coffeemaker in the room. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Although the hotel is a little ways from the busy part of the river we enjoyed the quiet. And the walk was not bad Would stay again.

We had called indigo to reserve a room and were booked at the wrong hotel. Noise from a band on the river walk in the hotel next door was way too loud until after midnight. Many complaints from several rooms. Toilet did not flush properly. We called down to desk. They sent up a plunger with a hotel worker who basically knocked on the door and when we answered it he basically shoved the plunger in my cousins face through the door and said "here".

Walking distance to the River Walk, beautiful property and a very attentive staff! A cool option available is if when you register and leave your cell number, the staff will text you and you have the option to ask questions or if you need anything you can communicate with the staff! There's also a very nice restaurant on the premise and the food is great. Don't let the fact that you have to park across the street deter you, we had no issues and it's not a very busy street you have to cross. I'd ... Read more

Our stay at the indigo was ok. Rooms were clean and spacious. We were not told about the construction at the time of booking which was a bit disappointing. We paid a little bit for a river view and could only see construction to the left along with the pool that was closed below. In addition to a shed that had a roof collapsing. Luckily we were able to use the pool at a nearby hotel which was lovely. Jonathon was great at the front desk always friendly and made us feel welcome! Food was great. ... Read more

We spent three nights at the San Antonio hotel Inigo Riverwalk this week Oct 2,3,4. I am an IHG brands regular but had not stayed at an Indigo before so I decided to try one this trip. The hotel is situated on the San Antonio Riverwalk on Saint Mary's street. It is a 20 minute walk to city center from the hotel lobby. After all the hype I have read about the Indigo brand we were disappointed. According to one employee this Indigo opened about twelve years ago and needs a remodel; sooner r... Read more

This hotel far exceeded our expectations in physical hotel and staff! We were on a "seat of our pants", trip. We called about 2 hours from San Antonio and I spoke with Alex . I asked for a riverview room and expressed disappointment that none were available-only courtyard rooms. When we arrived, Alex had noted my disappointment and found us a room with a balcony. The balconyturned out to be a beautiful 10x10 coved porch with cofrortable furniture! We spent mornings enjoying ourcoffee ther... Read more

Was very pleased with the stay at Hotel Indigo. The only negative was the bed, but I'm very picky about this. Staff friendly. Great location by the Tobin Center. I loved the decor and the outside deck. There was some construction but did not impede on anything. Great value if wanting a quick get away.

Robert at the front desk was absolutely rude. He was not helpful and acted like I couldn't speak English . I will never stay at hotel Indigo on the river walk again because of my experience dealing with such rude service
