Although part of the IHG chain, it retains it's charm, and has a quirky bent to it! Good access to The River Walk, and EXCELLENT location for anyone going to The Tobin Center which is right across the river. Staff were okay...very minimal contact with anyone!

Loved the convenience and look of this hotel. Great bargain. Close to the Ricer Walk and some sites. Rooms are clean and modern. One issue...balcony rooms offer a view, but also the smell of constant and annoying cigarette smoke from inconsiderate neighbors smoking while you are on your adjoining balcony.

The hotel is situated at the North end of the Riverwalk, but just take the river taxi to get to all the restaurants and shopping offered South. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, friendly front desk staff, really good breakfast options and service. Parking is located across the street from the hotel, but plenty of parking spaces. The hotel has a bar but not a big selection of wines if that's what your looking for. Nice outside patio to sit and enjoy the morning or evening. Will stay here ... Read more

We selected the Hotel Indigo Riverwalk, in part because of the location, and also the photos of the contemporary rooms with hardwood flooring. The room did not disappoint. Nice sized room with comfortable beds. The bathroom was great, with a stand up shower which handled my 6'3" frame nicely. Our only disappointment with the room, was the housekeeping. Staff failed to replenish all towels and wash cloths. Did not replace a drinking glass when we used one as a vase for flowers my wife was given. ... Read more

We had a wonderful stay here. Was not big chain motel which was rather refreshing. The rooms were clean and fresh awesome shower. Big flatscreen TV and Balcony. We were lucky and had a room to the river where we could see barges go by. Are breakfast in the restaurant twice, wonderful service.. The waitress and the waiter were very attentive. I asked for an iced coffee, it was nowhere on the menu and the young lady made it for me anyway after asking what I would like in it... Had a shrimp poor bo... Read more

Jeremy, sever at the in-hotel restaurant, may say "ma'am" and "sir" waaaay to often, yet the things that matter... listening... making sure he gets things right... are spot-on! Front desk... if it hadn't been for Keesha... we would never have received what we wanted... towels, bus tickets, a working toilet, microwave they advertise, ... She picked up all the little messes her colleagues left for her/the guests. Thank you! Pool is not good at all. Not clean, no space to swim. If more than ... Read more

The hotel itself looks really nice, the lobby, the outside and the pool. I can't speak of all the rooms but the room we were in smelled really humid like they had water damage in the room that wasn't properly taken care of. The nice looking wallpaper that's on the wall behind the headboard of the bed was peeling at the seams, same thing with the wallpaper in the bathroom. There was no tub in our room. The shower looked liked it was recently caulked and it didn't look very pretty. In general I wa... Read more

The Hotel Indigo sits right on the river, across from the Tobin Theater and its pretty outdoor space. It's about a 20-minute walk from the central part of the Riverwalk and a 30-minute walk from the restaurants around the old Pearl Brewery area. Walking along the river in either direction is very pretty, peaceful, and gives you access to several local sights. The friendly, helpful staff seemed pleasantly happy to help with information about the area. The hotel itself is a decent size and pre... Read more

Room service was good. Food was just okay (except the cheesecake, which was wonderful. Order the cheesecake!). Patrick, the room service delivery guy, was very personable. Front desk clerk was also very nice upon check-in. However, hotel is LOUD (thanks people with barking dog in room next to me at 11:00pm) and internet is AWFUL. Seriously awful. I called the front desk, and the guy was clueless; he transferred me to some help desk somewhere but we got disconnected and I gave up. I won't stay ... Read more

Super nice hotel, clean, People working there very nice and helpful, in the river walk hotel, breakfast was included for the price and was good too, hotel price is not cheap but worth it, loved our staying there. We can't wait to go back this year for our get away to San Antonio

The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to pretty much all of downtown. My only complaint is that they consistently gave us three towel for four people, we had to request daily an additional towel.

Location is good, not in the heart of Riverwalk but easy walk to most attractions. Hotel public spaces are shabby and dirty. Room was dirty and smelled bad. When we checked in we asked for room to be cleaned up from evidence of previous guests and stained bedspread replaced. There was no difference when we returned. This hotel has not been well cared for and it is sad. Front desk was indifferent like people who have heard it so many times they are tired of hearing it.

Here's the top reasons I gave this hotel 4 stars: it is right on the riverwalk, but out of the main area so its quieter and only a 1.2 mile walk to the Pearl Brewery District, with the San Antonio museum of art along the way, and the tourist area just .8 the other way; they are so dog and kid friendly I don't have adjectives to help me describe how dog and kid friendly they are (we had 3 kids and 3 dogs and not once did they ever complain when we tromped through the lobby, through the little b... We stayed at Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk from 5/18 - 5/25. My son graduated AIT at Fort Sam Houston. We had a great time. Nice, clean rooms, we had a king and my 2 sons shared 2 doubles. We had breakfast there 2 days and it was pretty good. Staff was always very friendly. Area was not bad, close to The Riverwalk, actually it was on the riverwalk but away from the hustle-bustle area, so nice and quiet. You can take a water taxi, which we did once, was kinda expensive. This is a 3 story hotel located on the Riverwalk. Most rooms facing the river have nice sized balconies. Some balconies are semi-private, but Room 220 has a private balcony. This room had a large bathroom, kitchenette had a sink, Keurig pod coffee maker and mini fridge, but no microwave. All Indigo hotels provide Aveda products in the bathroom and have hardwood floors Parking is aprox $10.00 per night and lot is just across the street from hotel. On-site restaurant was good. On the positive side, the room was large and decently furnished; there was even a mini Keurig coffee maker. It was not overly clean; when I walked into my room there was a dead beetle in the middle of the floor, and a half eaten doggy chew toy against the wall by the trash can. But that's not the real problem. The hotel does have a swimming pool, but my teenaged daughters never got to swim in it because every time they tried, there was some private party at the adjacent bar, and the pool was "cl... Checked in about 3:30, room was not ready, seemed a couple of peoples rooms were not ready as guest were filling up lobby. Once we received the keys we proceeded to room only to wait outside the room because it was still being cleaned. Get in finally and the room is nice, like the set up. In the morning I go to take a shower, NO HOT WATER..I let it run for about 15min. The sink has hot water, but you can't shower in the sink...Lets see what tomorrow brings...

Stayed in this hotel while on business and really enjoyed the experience. Nice posh (wait....what?) boutique hotel right on the riverwalk. Easy walk just about anywhere. We walked to the convention center, dinner and shopping, all within 5-10 minutes. Consider this hotel any time you are in SA.

We were surprised to find out that there were no microwaves in the rooms, NO free breakfast! For this price, these should have been included. This was our first stay at a Hotel Indigo - and the last! Everything was overly priced - especially for a medium sized family. We purchased a bottle of milk for one of our kids late in the evening for a snack - it had an expired date! Upon checking out, we took the bottle of milk back to the snack area and brought it to the attention of the "cook," no othe... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean and well kept. The spacious room we stayed in had wood floors, an area with a sink, refrigerator and coffee maker, and a big bathroom for a hoteI. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, never uttering a cross word or attitude. And we appreciate the fact that it is a very nice pet-friendly hotel. This is where we will stay when we return.

Nice stay at this hotel. It was a good location and a short drive (no more than 15 minutes) to many of the sights we wanted to see. Room was clean and comfortable, service was friendly and we did not have any big issues with our stay. I wish the water pressure was stronger and the toilet paper was softer but those issues were small, especially since we only stayed one night.

Due to an unexpected change in plans, our family had the opportunity to stay two nights at Hotel Indigo at the Riverwalk in San Antonio. We were initially greeted by Skeesha, who was extremely pleasant and helpful, particularly since we had limited knowledge of the area. She was also readily available for any of our needs on our second day. We were pleased with the two rooms where our family stayed; large, clean, and attractive. Breakfast is not provided. The hotel is situated on the RIVERWALK, however, the hotel is located on the far end of the RIVERWALK away from most of the main shopping and dinning venues. The staff is average by no means went above and beyond to meet our needs. The pool was quite disappointing because of its size and cleanliness. Also, do not bring any drinks to the pool area or you will be swarmed by "POOL BODYGUARDS". I was told I could not bring anything to pool area including water for my children. Don't let people make you change your mind with stupid comments and pictures. Here it's the dirt. This hotel is great, staff is great and rooms are super clean. We checked in and were greeted by Jonathan and let me tell you his guy was amazing. Jonathan took care of us and he should be praise by his manager. The bar was good and the restaurant has great servers and breakfast. Would I go back? Yes and they accept pet by the way.

A shout out to staff, especially Renae and James. The room was amazing, the staff equally amazing. The staff stepped up at every turn to make our stay as wonderful as it could be, My husband and I would and will return to their hotel for every visit to San Antonio. We really liked the fact that it was off the beaten path. In the evenings, the only noise we heard were laughs from other guests and music. Very lovely.

Although the hotel claims to be on the river walk it is still a nice walk to major attractions like the Alamo, mall, conventions center and other major hotels . The hotel does over look the river but is not in the location of the main attraction of the River Walk. Since we were with my husband who was I. Town for a major conventions the hotel was courteous enough for use to have a extra late checkout so that we did not need to pack the car before the convention . And I loved the Aveda and Keruig... We stayed at this hotel for my brother-in-law's graduation from St. Mary's Law School. The check-in process was a little frustrating because they did not greet anyone and it took a long time. Once we finally got to our room, which was supposed to be a non-smoking room, we noticed that it reeked of smoke and they tried to cover it up with spray. It was so awful, we asked to be moved, which they did. This room was so much better! We had a balcony (the other one did not) that overlooked the River W... Read more

Lovely intimate bar, excellent breakfast in restaurant and a poolside with a veiw of the Riverwalk. Definitely going back!
