This hotel is on the Riverwalk situated within a couple of blocks of where many restaurants are located. The building is older, but they have done a nice job of making the rooms comfortable and attractive. Homewood Suites are designed for people on a job assignment for an extended period, but one night stays for individuals and families are welcome, too. Breakfast and an evening social hour with beer, wine and some food are included.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway. We were very pleased with the staff, our room, the location, and the free breakfast. The room was very comfortable and quiet, and had a ceiling fan in the bedroom which was a plus. The Riverwalk was just a few steps away. The downtown market, Alamo, and Rivercenter Shops were also within walking distance. We had an issue with the living room TV not working and it was fixed promptly. A great place to stay on the riverwalk. Good quality and a separate living/bedroom. Also had kitchen area. In a quiet area on the river but very close walk to all attractions. It makes me wonder why I would ever stay anywhere else -- such a excellent spot for the price!

We stayed there for 1 night. Suite was large with fridge and pull out bed. Not a new hotel, so expect so dirtiness missed by cleaning staff in corners etc.... Wasn't much hot water during shower, but not enough to complain about. However, our toilet clogged, but someone came up immediately to fix the problem. Breakfast was wonderful. All in all, some minor issues, but we would stay there again.

Good location at a quiet end of Riverwalk. Nice large rooms. Good happy hour weekdays and good breakfast. Beds are comfortable, rooms clean. Only complaint is the heating/ac needs updating. The blower is so LOUD it drove me crazy, waking me up several times. Needs to be modernized; no need for that kind of racket in a hotel room. Walking distance to everything. Friendly staff.

A beautiful place to stay, overlooking the water while sipping on a glass of wine. Homewood Suites really goes out of their way to make you feel "At Home" while you are away on business or vacation travel. To sum it up, If Homewood Suites were around during the filming of the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy might of said while she was clicking her Ruby Red Slippers together, "There's No Place Like Homewood Suites"

The location was perfect and the staff and hotel were exactly as advertised. No complaints. We came into town early and they were ready for us prior to scheduled check in. The digital check in was very easy to use although difficult to see what rooms had a view of the river.

We recently spent (4) nights at this hotel, when I was in San Antonio for a conference. It was comfortable and clean and very economical. The location is near all of the downtown attractions and just a 10-minute walk from the Convention Center. Breakfast was good. The evening snacks were available on only one of our nights, and didn't offer much on that evening. The staff was always polite and pleasant and accommodating. On one of our nights, it rained REALLY hard, and they had umbrellas a... Read more

This hotel was a very good location for the Downtown/riverwalk area of San Antonio. It was comfortable and clean. The location of our room was a bit loud. There was a very large family reunion on our floor so there were lots of kids and people coming and going late hours.

We were looking for a less expensive alternative to the "convention hotel rate". We were not disappointed by this hotel. It was a quick 10 minute walk to convention center. Great rates. Helpful & friendly staff. Great complimentary breakfast. We missed out on the complimentary evening social. Also as a smoker appreciated the fact they had a little room off the parking garage you could go to and feel a little safer.

While this hotel offered a very good value being located right on the river walk, it was disappointing to return to the room late in the day to find it still hadn't been serviced. Our stay would have been much better without that issue.

This is the second time we've stayed here. There are lots of good things to say. It's in a great location, easily reached off I-35 or US 281, ON the River Walk, close to the Alamo. For the location and amenities seems to us like a pretty good deal. We had a spacious two room suite -- kitchenette would serve for simple meals, furnished, and sofa (probably a bed too), and easy chair plus small kitchen-type table with three chairs. We didn't have a view (well with a stretch we could see the tree... Read more

I was very disappointed in my last stay with this hotel. Hilton Honors is going way down and it hardly means anything to be an Honor's member anymore. The breakfasts they serve these days are almost inedible on some days and inedible on some days.

Hotel location is perfect, right on the riverwak. Complimentary breakfast is a plus, along with the evening social. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance along the river walk. Only negative thing I found was you could not self park and had to valet car.

Second time I've stayed at this hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed the social hour in the evening. Looking over the Riverwalk, it's a nice way to kick off a night of walking and searching for a nice place to eat. My only complaint is that the wireless internet only worked in certain sections of the hotel room, which made things difficult.

I had no idea this Homewood Suites would be so nice. The room had a fairly spacious kitchen/living room area. The furnishings are nicely done and the beds are very comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating, which we really appreciated since half of us forgot our toothbrushes! We enjoyed the full moon and San Antonio skyline from the view at the rooftop pool. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Location was great, we booked based on all the great Tripadvisor reviews. Lobby was very nice and we had high expectations. Room was less than clean. Lots of dust/dirt on the ceilings from the air conditioning, probably hadn't been dusted in months. Trash behind the TV stand. Housekeeping half-cleaned our room. Staff not in uniform so hard to tell who worked there and who didn't. Problem with the room being dirty is that we didn't want to use any of the silverware or plates as we weren'... Read more

Stayed at the property as part of a long weekend trip at the suggestion of our travel agency. The hotel is conveniently located right on the Riverwalk and has some very strong positives; Accommodating front desk staff, breakfast staff and valets. Unfortunately this property is in dire need of an update, when there are three colors of caulk in the shower you know that it has been repaired on numerous occasions. My wife and I flew into San Antonio early to save some money and had expected to leave our baggage in a luggage closet or something until we were able to check in. Upon our arrival, the bellman had gotten our bags out of the taxi before we even got out. I did not catch his name but he was extreamily polite. At checkin we were greeted by Sonia and Destiny, both of whom were extreamily nice and helpful. They had even had our room ready and it was upgraded. It was a very good welcoming after trave... Old historic building on the riverwalk. Great location, price, breakfast and free happy hour. However, when they restored the building they didn't replace the single pane, factory type windows. Our room was located on the second floor facing St. Mary's Street. St. Mary's is a Bus route with buses running non stop day and night. It also must be a staging area as at times there were 10 buses sitting right outside idleing vibrating the building with loud exhaust. If you stay here get a room on t... Read more

Great time, good weather, great food. Not much going on in October as far as entertainment, but always nice to walk and shop. TOOK a stroll down at night to see (what we thought were dangling lights from trees) and though it would be pretty. Apparently, lights do not come on until after Thanksgiving. Enjoy the river all during the day, much better. LOTS of good signage to direct you.

Old dark and very outdated accommodations. Although he hotel staff was very nice and helpful the hotel itself needs a lot of updating. The rooms are very dark and the view from the windows are limited. Major reconstruction in need to keep this hotel afloat in a popular visitor location along the river walk.

very nice hotel and the staff is awesome. close to all the river walk attractions. valet parking is a bit steep but considering the area and convince its inline with the other hotels in the area. The breakfast was also very nice, I did not travel with children but would recommend this hotel to families with kids. Only thing is the pool is small by standards of hotel chains of this size.

If you're looking for a place just to lay your head then this place will do. Breakfast is boring and is over by 9:30am. The rooftop pool is cool but very tiny. Rooms are a bit dated but do the job. Housekeeping apparently stops at 4:30pm. Not fancy, just ok.

Our room was huge - like a small apartment. We had 2 Queen beds so super nice to have our own beds just to sleep better. It was a corner unit so I'm sure that makes a difference. Breakfast is 10 X's better than most places. The rooftop pool was not fancy but had great views and was fun place to bring a drink and just relax. Very nice lobby right over the Riverwalk.
