We had not experienced Hilton's new brand Home2 so we booked in for 2 nights in San Antonio. We received a warm welcome when we checked in and were very pleased with our room. The room had a large frig and a nice size kitchen area. It would qualify as a tiny house! We agreed that we would recommend this concept to our family members who travel with children since it would be easy to heat a bottle, keep drinks and snacks in the frig or prepare a quick meal. The hotel is a short walk from the ... Read more

Dirty bathroom, dusty room, smelly hallway....what is not to love....The pillows on the bed were soft though...sadly that is about the only good thing I have to say about the hotel. The morning breakfast was something that you had to take from a common platter type thing, and then microwave...tasted horrible

The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast wasn't very good and the style is kind of odd. Be prepared to have someone sit with your luggage on the sidewalk while you find somewhere to put your car unless you valet park. There really wasn't anywhere to pull out of the street to do it and there were no luggage carts. Parking at the adjacent garage is only $10 per night compared to the $32 they were charging for valet so keep that in mind.

Excellent service and accomadations. The front desk went above the line of duty. The food was great and the gym was excellent to take off that food. So many things to see within walking distance. And.....the gentlemen outside who parked your car and brought it to you was so kind. Best service I have seen in a long time.

We traveled to San Antonio for vacation and stayed at the Home2 Suites Riverwalk Hotel. Overall we were very satisfied with the value this hotel provided. Rooms were large, clean and provided enough amenities for our family ie: full working kitchen and enough room to have 4 people stay comfortably. The closet and dresser storage isn't so plentiful but otherwise, the room was nice. The downside of this hotel was the cost of parking - $30/day/valet. Although considering the area,I don't belie... I stayed at this hotel during a long weekend with the family. Let me say up front that the staff is very polite but seemingly overworked. Most times I only saw one person in the lobby working the desk, and at times the phone would be ringing constantly while that lone employee tried to attend to guests and answer the phone. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Home2Suites in San Antonio. The staff there were by far the friendliest staff we have ever encountered staying in a hotel. They were very helpful and welcoming through our entire stay. Only problem we experienced was trouble with our air conditioning -- which made it slightly uncomfortable. This situation was not fixed by the time we left, but I'm sure it was fixed shortly after. We recommend this hotel to everyone -- especially families.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Just a few blocks from the Riverwalk and the Alamo. This hotel is across the street from the Majestic Theater. There is a public parking garage across the street with an elevator. We traveled with a dog and Travis Park is 1 block away which includes a small dog park. There were a lot of homeless people in this area, but there were plenty of police around and we never had a problem. I stayed 3 nights and after the first night the room was not made u... Read more

We stayed in Home2Suits in San Antonio. It was very clean and fresh. The room was large and decorated well. Hotel was two blocks from riverwalk and Alamo. The biggest challenge was parking. The valet is expensive and they can be very backedup in the morning. Overall, it is a great hotel. We recommend it.

This was my second stay with at a Home2. Love the sleek look of the lobby and the rooms. Staff is always kind and friendly. The sheets are incredibly soft. This is really close to the River Walk which was nice.

As a long time HHonors member I expected a more reasonable rate. I was told it was a high demand weekend, so they would not honor a member rate. Cost of the room was ridiculous. Property was ok, not great, same can be said of the staff. They offered HHonors points for my distress and never followed through.

Great location downtown. Rooms have a kitchenette. The complimentary breakfast is very basic - cereal, yogurt, fruit, bread, coffee, and items that look like vending machine service. Comfortable bed. Note that housekeeping is "limited service" unless you request more frequency.

There was hair on the pull out bed and in the tub. There were blood stains in front of the sink. Nasty. Your room is only cleaned every 5 days. Part of the perks of staying at a hotel is having your room cleaned daily. They portray that their trying to save the environment, but really their just trying to save money on labor. They charge a DAILY fee for Valet parking. There isn't parking close, so it costs a fortune to park ($30/day). Not cool.

This was a great hotel for a great price. We didn't use the kitchenette as we were only there for one night, but if we are in the area again, this will definitely be a hotel we look for. The location was within walking distance of the Riverwalk. Very nice.

We chose San Antonio as part of our bucket list destinations. We couldn't have been happier with our decision. Our entire stay was great. The historical sites and the River Walk were great experiences. What a vibrant city! It was a trip we will remember the rest of our lives.

Great location, parking garage right across the street and riverwalk very close, Walgreens across the street too. Rooms are big and spacious, well appointed. My room could have been cleaner, but the bathroom was very clean. Big breakfast buffet should satisfy everyone, but coffee was kind of weak .. there's a Starbucks on the end of the block.

If you are looking to be near the San Antonio Riverwalk, this is the ideal location. Friendly staff welcomed us and made us feel at home from the moment we stepped foot into this Hotel. We were forced to cut our stay short due to a family emergency, however the staff was accommodating and very helpful. We always stay with the Hilton Family of Hotels. The Palacio Del Rio is a favorite of ours, and now the Home2 is another go to hotel for us in the Alamo City.

There was nasty hair that was not ours in the shower/tub upon arrival. The front desk had no change and didn't care to help. They were not attentive nor showed any sense of urgency. The property made up for it with its location, price, and valet service.

Home2 suites is very close to the River Walk in San Antonio. We walked to the River Walk AND the Alamo. It is close to the tour bus pick up area. The hotel staff are friendly. We thought that the rooms were pricey for the quality. There were lots of families present and breakfast was extremely crowded every morning. We didn't feel the same quality as other Hilton properties we have used in the past.

This was the first Home2 brand hotel I have ever stayed at. I have always chosen Hilton brand hotels, I have had nothing but the best experiences. This particular hotel seemed cheap and small. A step backwards from the progression of what I have gotten used to. Maybe I'm spoiled but the price was on par with the Hilton brand.

Arrived on a Thursday around 3:30pm. Had checked in the day prior through my Hilton app. Room was ready at arrival. We enjoy having a kitchenette during our travels so we can bring leftovers home and reheat later. This hotel is about two blocks from the Riverwalk and very easy to walk to. There is a Walgreens across the street for things you might need. They have a nice little breakfast in the mornings with cold items and things you can heat up. The internet works well in the rooms. I've stayed here several times when I go downtown to see a show at the Majestic. It is conveniently located across the street from the theatre. The hotel is decorated modernly and I have found the rooms to be clean and have plenty of room. The staff was very cordial and is located within a brief walk to the Riverwalk. It has always suited my needs when staying over downtown at a moderate price.
