Very nice staff. The front desk staff were very kind and helped me with everything I needed. The entire hotel was clean and had a very nice indoor pool. The kids played in the pool while me and the wife enjoyed the hot tub right next to them. Didn't get better then that. I enjoyed my stay. As did my wife and kids

This Hampton Inn is very clean, comfortable and one of the best for the value! I would absolutely stay there again if ever back in the area. The staff was friendly, sincere in making my stay a pleasure and as I saw it, put their guests first. Having the ability to send a package out through Fed X from this location saved me lots of time and the staff handled the entire shipping process for me

We're not hard to please. Room was great, staff very friendly. Free cookies (2 kinds). Breakfast was the best we've had in a Hampton in a long time. Coffee and oatmeal were hot and the area was clean. Loved it. The only caution is to stay in the even number rooms (away from interstate). We're not light sleepers so we were fine. But it's right next to the highway AND there is a train that runs close by.

Everything with our stay was great, except the breakfast. I understand that the hotel was full and there were many guests eating breakfast but both days the breakfast attendants had trouble keeping the food stocked. The first day, there were two attendants but one seemed new and did not seem to know what he was doing. The second day, there was only one attendant! A couple of other guests and myself offered to help her restock some of the items because it was overwhelming. She stated that the sec... Read more

We checked in and was giving the key to the room I had chosen on my ap. We weren't to go to our room and there was another. Family there. Horrified for them and for our family as well. I request a full refund and another room comped at this same location.

If you want an escape from the Texas heat don't stay here. Room a/c not strong enough to cool room to comfy temp. 2 kids left throwing up, one uncontrollably, due to over-treatment of chlorine in pool after 10 mins in water.

The breakfast area was filthy. They did not restock food. We ended up eating elsewhere both mornings we were there. The man at the front desk was extremely rude. There was hair in the bathtub upon arrival.

I was attending a wedding in the area. The bridal party was staying at another hotel up the street. When my brother saw my room he was jealous & wanted to change hotels. Friendly staff, clean rooms, yummy breakfast.

Easy to get on and off I35, and there was construction on the freeway, but that wasn't the hotels fault. We were there for a basketball tournament so it was a good location to get to ATT arena, would stay there again.

Some friends and I decided to take a trip to San Antonio for a few days just because. We booked a room for 2 nights at the American best Inn. Well needless to say, the pictures, the location and all the things they said they had, was no where to be found in that place. We took a $159 lost and left the rooms because we refused to stay there uncomfortable. So we all got online and started looking for other places. And came across the Hampton Inn, we'll first off we got a Suite that fit all 6 of us... Read more

Went for my sons soccer tournament, so just overnight stay. Food was good, rooms very clean, and staff was kind. Construction was the only downside to the location of the hotel, but not their fault no

Hotel and rooms were nice and clean. Comfortable beds and convenient guest laundry. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Front desk was short handed and security and tried to help her out as much as possible. She could have really used another front desk help but she kept smiling and made the best of the situation. Very friendly staff.

The staff was very helpful with my needs as I was traveling solo with two children (4 and 1 year old). The breakfast was family friendly and i felt safe and comfortable arriving late in the evening. I will be staying here again.

Room was very clean as well as the lobby area. I would have like a mini fridge, microwave in room like I've had in other hamptons. Love the king room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Pillows too soft. I would stay again.

I checked in the day before and selected a room on the 4th floor/ rear of the hotel. When I checked in at the hotel the desk person said my check in was not in the system. I asked her to check again and said that my Honors app shows that I am checked in. Her body language/ attitude said "YOU"RE AN IDIOT". I sign the paperwork and selected another room on the 3rd floor front by the interstate highway. We went to a concert and returned at 11:00 that evening. We were locked out of our room.... Read more

What do I find when I walk in my room for the first time? Nail clippings beside the bed. Underneath the sofa bed was lightly dusted with bread crumbs, and a beer bottle cap. Air conditioner is weak and have to keep it on constantly for the room to stay cool. To this day, management won't return phone calls to try and make things right.

We are in the last few days of a three week road trip from Florida to Colorado. We came here on a referral from the Hampton manager at the Van Horn, Texas property. The properties are nearly identical, great rooms, quiet night, friendly, helpful staff. Our check in clerk, Keenyn, was especially courteous and a great help. Its not Hampton's fault that the highways are torn up, or that the property sits on a one-way frontage road, but it is a fact. I went out to a store close by, and discovered I ... Read more

I usually love staying at Hampton Inn, but this one was terrible. The breakfast was non existent. We waited for the employee to refill and he never did. Had to go out for breakfast. When we came back, the cleaning crew had not replaced any towels and did not remove trash from room. I had to go get clean towels and was treated like if I was being a bother. The swimming pool area was trashed with beer cans and food wrappers everywhere, including in the pool. Should have stayed at motel 6 and saved... Read more

The location is a bit far from anything but the staff makes up for this by offering a wide variety of delivery menus, suggestions and recommendations. On the night I was there a horrible storm moved in and the power was cut off. Not one person on staff was rattled - instead they turned to make sure all guests were safe and as comfortable as possible. Great team!!

Great hotel with easy access to Fort Sam Houston. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room opposite the train tracks. I was able to sleep through the train but some may not. Breakfast was well stocked and the staff were nice and helpful.

Not a bad place to stay. I felt safe and secure once in the hotel. Try to ask for a room not adjacent to I 35 the noise can get to be a bit much. The air conditioner was too loud and jarring, causing my to wake up on several occasions. Very clean, typical breakfast bar, no major complaints.

Nice hotel. Lot of road construction around hotel. Security gourd on site and a very close commute to Brooke Army Medical Center (bamc) I don't like that this review has to be 200. Good hotel should be good enough

The hotel was mostly clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable as usual. The staff will drive you crazy. They don't care about anything. Your only hope is that there is no interaction with the staff. Oh, and don't drink the water.

I have stayed at multiple hotels and I haven't found one that beats the beds in a Hampton. There breakfast is great but the only reason I stay at holiday inn more often is because it seems as if I can get better corporate rates and just a better rate overall. I would be a dedicated Hampton man if they offered better rates, more corporate rates and deals.

Don't like hotels but due to a family emergency had to stay at this hotel 5 nights, check out tomorrow morning. I stay at Hampton because it is consistent normally. Did have some problems at this one. Will itemize: I carry my own sheets due to my skin chlorine allergy, put a note on my bed "bed ok" because I didn't want them to take my sheets or pillow case. I thought this was clear but evidently it wasn't as the bed was stripped and remade. I even left the maid a tip but still ruined my b... Read more
