"After having a rather hard time deciding on a hotel, I opted to book at the Embassy Suites and I'm so glad that I did. While it might sound like a 'low-end' hotel, it was anything but. Upon entry, you're greeted with a large, three story atrium lobby, pretty impressive for an Embassy Suites. We arrived at about noon, and got our room right away. No waiting! The room was very clean and spacious, with a nice sized balcony too. Nice wet bar area, microwave and mini-fridge too. The bed was comfy and the blackout curtains did their job amazingly well. The hotel offers free cooked to order breakfast (an omelet station) as well as premade items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, different cereals, bagels/pastries, yogurts, fruits and many different juices, milk, coffee. Both my husband and I agreed that this was the best complimentary breakfast we've ever seen. In the evening, the hotel offers a 'manager's reception' between 5:30 and 7:30. Once again, a rather nice spread of food is put out. Cold deli salads, chips and salsa, various snack mixes, sweets and free alcoholic drinks. (And from what I noticed, there was no limit on the drinks.) Once again, a very nice perk. The hotel is located on a fairly quiet section of the RiverWalk, but a five minute (if that) walk will get you right in the thick of things. Parking was a bit steep, coming in at $27 per day, but when you consider the freebies (food and drinks), it's more than worth it. Bottom line - save the money on the pricier hotels and stay here. Unless your standards are through the roof high, you won't be disappointed."

"Very clean, people friendly hotel. Loved the afternoon complimentary drinks. Morning breakfast was actually good food, eggs to order, bacon, many drink varieties etc. walk to Riverwalk was just enough to be scenic. Never saw the pool bar open, that would have been nice. Cleaning staff skipped over our room one day, but make a call and that was soon corrected."

"OVERALL THE HOTEL WAS GREAT, HOWEVER THE SERVICE WAS NOT ALWAYS. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT 1:30 OUR ROOM WAS NOT READY, NO BIG DEAL. THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL WHEN IT WAS READY. WE SAT IN THE LOBBY THE WHOLE TIME, AT 3:10 WE WENT BACK UP TO THE DESK AS THEY HAD ALREADY HANDED OUT ROOM KEYS TO ABOUT 20 OTHER ROOMS WHILE WE SAT THERE. THERE WERE DIRTY DISHES FROM THE PREVIOUS GUEST THAT SAT OUTSIDE OUR DOOR THAT WHOLE DAY AND PART OF THE NEXT. THE SECOND DAY WE LEFT AT 8:30 AND CAME BACK AT 3:00 AND OUR ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED, SHE KNOCKED ON THE DOOR AT 5:30 PM. THE THIRD DAY THEY KNOCKED AT THE DOOR AT 8:00 AM (???)"

"We took a 4 day trip with 3 kids. We loved this hotel....Six Flags was fun....but the kids loved the hotel just as much. Free breakfast, wonderful happy hour free alcohol and free appetizers...great pool with outdoor bar...spacious suite...need I say more??"
