The happy hour is one of the best in the chain. Start your evening there and migrate to the restaurant which is also high quality and a credit to the hotel. 5 stars for food. Parking, service and rooms were all challenging. Parking isn't convenient or cheap. If you can do without a car, the location is great, easily within walking distance of most attractions near/on the river walk. Service didn't live up to my expectations, but I had some room issues that made it difficult. Overall I'd give thi... Read more

We enjoyed a suite on the 9th floor for 4 nights during the annual festival. The band I play in was performing at the Fiesta Flambeau parade, and this was the hotel we chose for our entire group. Everyone was very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were spacious and impeccably maintained. Daily housekeeping was perfect. The king bed was a perfect firmness for us. The breakfast included with the price of the room was superb. A full hot and cold buffet, plus made to order omelettes and other go... Read more

We chose this as this was the only place we could find on river walk with two queen beds and the reviews were good. Rooms are clean and spacious. We were there with our son and the suite had ample room and was very comfortable with a balcony opening towards the river walk though did not have a clear view but was still nice. The room was quiet. The valet service was very convenient and efficient. There is a $30 per day charge for it which they let you know upfront when you book. The lobby is h... Read more

We only stay at the Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk, when we are in town. I actually can't wait to get in, because of the 1st class treatment that I know we will receive. You can't beat the size of the rooms, quality of stay, excellent staff, free happy hour, and location. 5 Stars!

Fantastic location for proximity to the Alamo and other downtown sites. Right on the Riverwalk, like many downtown hotels, there is a certain amount of poverty in the area that made some of our party uncomfortable. Security is solid and left me with no concerns. Breakfast and evening cocktails were excellent. Parking is expensive at $30 a night but, again, typical for a downtown hotel. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

I booked a Riverwalk view room,so when we checked in, I was disappointed to discover our room had no views of the Riverwalk. I went back to check in and they quickly corrected it and gave us a new room. The lobby is beautiful and it does lead right to the Riverwalk. They have free happy hour in the evenings and free breakfast in the morning. We only took advantage of the breakfast and we were impressed with it! My only complaint is they missed the mark on the small details, like giving us the wr... Read more

Took the family to the San Antonio riverwalk for a wedding. This hotel has a great location and the best part of our stay was the hotel staff. Every member was extremely nice and they were very efficient. The breakfast was well staffed and could accommodate a large number of guests. I would advise getting there before 8am though, but a good experience none the less.

This hotel has an excellent location on the river, still it has a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast offering is plentiful and despite the large weekend crowd the breakfast room was kept very clean. It is ideal for couples as well as for families. The suites are well furnished, roomy and quiet.

The hotel is a great value because it includes a full breakfast including an omelet station (though the omlets were not consistent day to day I.e. Too many onions one day too many jalapeños the next etc)....still it's included. Free internet and a two hour happy hour with complimentary drinks and snacks are also included. You can't beat that! The staff is friendly. The pool is small but there is a hot tub too. Our room has a microwave and mini fridge.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was awesome and so was the service. Highly recommend. It is right at the Riverwalk so you can walk to all the shops and resturants. It is a pretty good walk to get to the first resturant though but it's so beautiful along the Riverwalk we didn't mind the walk.

The location is both quiet and peaceful!! The scenery is very nice. Be careful when checking out!! I had paid for the stay and closed out the room the morning of our departure. A couple of hours later, my fiancé went to do the same, not knowing I had already done so. I stayed her for a week for a business trip. I was very pleased at the views of the river walk from my room that had a balcony. The river walk runs along side of the hotel which makes it nice to take part in what San Antonio has to offer. Spent two nights in March. We liked the hotel, location, and the breakfast. It was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The afternoon happy hour was a bit on the chintzy side though--snack items and the beverages weren't up to par. Some patrons really loaded up like it was gourmet--maybe they viewed it as a free dinner. Also, the tap water seemed a bit "off"--we stuck to the bottled water.

Front desk was not very helpful. When issues came into place staff insinuated that the predicament I was found was my fault. Even though I had called in advance to double check my concerns. All I needed was my receipts to return to my employer to have a correct date to turn in to my employer. Clerk and supervisor said they could not fix the issue.

Stayed here for a business meeting and the cooked to order breakfast is always a plus in SA as well as being close to the River Walk. Downtown parking is always a nightmare particularly when you need to get out of the hotel and on your way early in the morning. This is not particularly a fault of this hotel but of all of the downtown hotels in SA. Embassy is a good property and being part of the Hilton chain always a plus for me.

Rude staff, tiny pool, and old furniture. The breakfast was low quality with items constantly running out and not be refilled. The rooms have old furniture and the a/c vent is positioned to blow right at the head of the bead which kept me up all night and made me sick the next day. Room service was rude and got out order wrong.

This is a nice hotel with clean rooms and lobby! The lobby has a pretty fountain. We enjoyed the free cooked breakfast. You can even have an omelette made to order! There were plenty of choices from cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc...The evening reception was nice as well. The snacks were kid friendly as well as provided adult beverages. There is easy access to the Riverwalk and secure doors that you use a room key to enter back into the hotel.

This hotel goes above and beyond to provide amenities not offered at other hotels. First of all, the service is excellent, from the efficient valet parking to early check-in, to friendly bartenders and wait staff. We chose to come to San Antonio after our plans to go to the Wisconsin Dells & Chicago fell through. I have been to SA several times & it is one of my favorite cities to visit. We stayed at the ES because of the value and space, & the hotel did not disappoint. The kids love the pool area and the breakfasts & snacks. The wife & I love the drinks & that it is on the Riverwalk. The rooms are ok, but it is functional for a family of four. All in all a great place to serve as our base for fun in SA.

We ended up on the 6th floor, which is their "premier floor". Our room did not have a view of the riverwalk, but by being on this floor we did get free snacks and drinks all day long.??? I stayed here for three nights, the room was very spacious and the hotel it self was extremely nice. The breakfast and happy hour were wonderful as well, I think the only downfall was the size of the hot tub. Overtime my husband and I tried to use the hot tub there were about 4-5 people in it and no room for anyone else. The location was great, an entrance to riverwalk was just outside the back doors. Had a lovely stay here in San Antonio. Rooms were comfortable with all the needed amenitities. We visited Memorial Day weekend so the hotel was filled with guests. Breakfast was incredibly busy with a bit of a wait to find seating but it was a holiday weekend after all. Free afternoon snacks and drinks were great. Pool was also lovely. I've been to San Antonio a couple of other times and I am very comfortable walking around downtown. There is a nice dinner restaurant in the hotel and lots in the area. ... Read more

Great hotel. Stayed here while attending a conference -room was big and comfortable. The Hotel sits right along the river walk so all you have to do is walk out the back door and down the steps. From the hotel, you are able to walk to a variety of stores, restaurants and sites -the Alamo is just a few blocks away. Will definitely stay here on any subsequent trips.

From the moment we pulled into the hotel and I told the valet my name, I was greeted with ??Congratulations on our wedding Mr. S.?? that we were having there at Embassy Suites. Your valet man Luis or Manuel (I think) kept us informed of gift boxes delivered and to be delivered. Your hotel assistants during the wedding really stayed on top of details too.

I can't say enough great things about this hotel! From the moment we checked in, John Trevino was kind and efficient, even though he had been there 12 hours and it was late when we got in. He upgraded us to a river view room and it was beautiful! The food at breakfast was amazing and always fresh and replenished. Same with the manager's reception. My only complaint was to the parents that let their children run up and down the hall at 8 am.

Super nice hotel. Nice rooms. Staff wonderful. It would have been nice to have free wifi. I finally got the wifi free because I'm already an ATT subscriber. My friends weren't so lucky. Breakfast was superb. Omelette man awesome!! Coffee outstanding!! Floor in the breakfast room and outside on the patio were so sticky every morning and night that our shoes stuck with every step. Yuck??? Otherwise. Great stay! I can deal with sticky stuff.

Also safe did not work. The lady at the fron desk was great when we checked out and told her of the issues she comped the valet parking apologized and said would let management know.

No customer service. This hotel looks nice and just had a renovation from what I understand. It looks pretty but that is it. I left an item behind and have had a difficult time getting a person to tell me they have cared to check. I guess once they have had your business it no longer matters.

The location of this hotel on the Riverwalk is ideal--out of the way of the busy tourist section, but close enough to take in what is happening on the street level and on the Riverwalk. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is responsive and the restaurant next door, Luke, is fabulous.

We just spent a week at this hotel. I had a conference, and we extended our stay so that we could explore SA. From the time we checked in, we encountered nothing but friendly, conscientious staff. The suite was clean and well appointed- a bit compact, perhaps, but everything we needed. The conference facility was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was included in the room rate; there was a combination of cereals, pastries, fried food, and an omelette station. The hotel is right on San Antonio's Ri... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights for a work conference and really enjoyed the property. Service and hospitality were excellent throughout my entire stay. Large property that is just a 5 minute walk down onto the river walk. I also had an experience that I feel typifies the overall commitment to service of this hotel. The hotel is not in a busy portion of the Riverwalk so you don't get the night time noise of the revelers and occasional river boat parades ( Halloween).
