Hotel location is very convenient. Love the history behind the hotel. Right next to The Alamo and a couple of blocks from The Riverwalk. Room is average in size but very clean. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Unique lobby set-up but our room windows were located above the lobby and even though we were staying on the 6th floor we could hear all the commotions at the lobby which made it difficult to get some sleep at night.

Location was perfect for our needs. Alamo and Menger Hotel right next door. Shopping and restaurants withing a few minutes walk. Breakfast was excellent offering waffles, fruit, burritos. Parking was expensive at $24 PLUS tax. We had an interior room over looking lobby so very little natural light. Ice machines are not on every floor but easy to access

We stayed at this historic hotel while attending a conference. The hotel is clean. Our room was on the second floor. We had a king bed room. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The room faced into the lobby. You can hear conversations coming from the lobby but otherwise it was fairly quiet. The conversations were not at night so it did not disrupt our sleep. We could not see outside so no natural light to our room. If seeing outside is important to you then ask f... Read more

Great hotel, perfect location. After reading reviews I chose the Crockett for a weekend get-away with my daughter to celebrate her 21st birthday. Since this was a special occasion I wanted everything to be perfect. In advance I asked for a room facing the Alamo, an early check-in. I received an almost immediate response to my emails and everything was ready for us when we arrived early morning. Room was good, clean, the beds super comfortable. Stayed here for two nights (wed & Thurs night) A great location to walk where you need to go in downtown. My complaints: they need curved shower rods. When your bathing you might stick to the shwr curtain. Rooms also do not have refrigerators so you are obligated to getting ice on two floors or buying and purchasing can drinks for a dollar. Last complaint i did not like that they didn't offer wrapped paper cups besides for the coffee. They had glass cups where there is paper protecting the ... Read more

I was excited to find out she'd booked a room at the historic Crockett Hotel since I had always wanted to check it out on previous trips but had never had the time. This wonderful historic hotel literally is right behind the Alamo complex. It is off the beaten path & therefore very quiet. There were 6 of us from our elementary school campus who stayed here and we all loved it. Enjoyed my stay at The Crockett. The staff was friendly and professional. Recommend the extra cost of using their valet service; Max was my valet guy and he was courteous and took care of my vehicle - parked in a nearby, secure, well-lit lot. The suite had most things you need, coffee in room, comfortable linens, but the lighting is not modern and up-to-date. The closet is teeny tiny. Our room was not made up or towels changed. Comfortable bed, good customer service when checking in, but the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine at night. There was a huge amount of street noise (drunks and cars revving up). Not the hotels fault, but maybe double glazed windows would fix this problem, especially rooms lower to the ground. We were on the third floor.

The hotel is very nice and the staff is really polite and helpful. Really good service, for the most part, especially at the front desk. Great location. Breakfast buffet was pretty good; bed uncomfortable; daily cleaning did not always get everything taken care of. If you're staying more than a night or two and can get one of the bigger rooms, do it. The beds were comfortable, the free breakfast was great, the hotel staff were all so nice and informative. The rooms were super clean, updated and modern. The Crocket Hotel was near, The Alamo, the Rivercenter Mall, the Riverwalk, and other attractions.

If you want to walk to the Rivercenter mall and Alamo, you can't beat the location. Parking is $25 plus tax. Rooms are small, closet is just a tiny space for upright luggage. Small desk is good for a laptop. Mattress was worn out and squeeky. Noise is crazy loud. Bring ear plugs as you cant drown out traffic sounds. Staff seemed friendly.

This is an older hotel. It was comfortable and most attractions are within a couple block walk. It was fine for us . If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with a spa, this may not be the place for you. The only issue we had was the trash pick up at 430 am. We are early risers so didn't bother us much. We would stay here again.

This is very convenient right next to The Alamo and a five minute walk to The River Walk. The rooms are comfortable and there's parking available next door for $24 a day. The warm breakfasts are good and plentiful. The pool is a welcome relief at the end of a hot day and closes at 22:00. It is a little dated, but comfortable.

Hotel is conveniently located to Alamo Plaza and Riverwalk. Room was large and comfortable. The only let down was the beautiful shutters on the windows let way too much light in at night for sleeping. Found staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. Would definately stay here again

I attended a conference at the H. B. Gonzales Convention Center and wanted to stay at hotel nearby that wouldn't bankrupt me, so we booked the Crockett. Not only was the room was well-maintained and clean, they offered a hot breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, yogurt, waffles and fruit. The room didn't have a microwave or drink fridge, but that was okay because I brought a small ice chest for drinks. One weird thing: the ice machines stop working after 9 p.m. If you call down to the desk, th... Read more

We spent three nights at the Crockett Hotel and enjoyed our stay. It is not a fancy spa type hotel, which we like. The rooms are cosy and clean. The one problem we hand was hot water for showers, which on the 6th floor took sometime to emerge from the spout. The breakfast is fine, with many choices, though on the generic side. The valet parking was relatively inexpensive at $25/day. The location is just great; across the street from the Alamo and the Rivercenter mega Mall.

This is an old hotel. No luxury. It was clean. The rooms were small. It was fine to stay a few nights. Right in the middle of town so the location was the best. The desk staff were very sweet. Parking lot adjacent to hotel. No food or bar or any full-service.

Great price for the location but if you're looking for a modern, updated hotel, this is not the place. Room was somewhat small and not enough handy outlets for today's technological needs. Smallest elevator I've ever seen. Great breakfast buffet though.

A very plainsant stay. Staff was very kind and helpful. A good choice if you do not care to the noise of air conditioning. Forget the pool it is just to cool the feet.... However a very good quality and location.
