Hotel location is very convenient. Love the history behind the hotel. Right next to The Alamo and a couple of blocks from The Riverwalk. Room is average in size but very clean. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Unique lobby set-up but our room windows were located above the lobby and even though we were staying on the 6th floor we could hear all the commotions at the lobby which made it difficult to get some sleep at night.

Location was perfect for our needs. Alamo and Menger Hotel right next door. Shopping and restaurants withing a few minutes walk. Breakfast was excellent offering waffles, fruit, burritos. Parking was expensive at $24 PLUS tax. We had an interior room over looking lobby so very little natural light. Ice machines are not on every floor but easy to access

We stayed at this historic hotel while attending a conference. The hotel is clean. Our room was on the second floor. We had a king bed room. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The room faced into the lobby. You can hear conversations coming from the lobby but otherwise it was fairly quiet. The conversations were not at night so it did not disrupt our sleep. We could not see outside so no natural light to our room. If seeing outside is important to you then ask f... Read more

Great hotel ideally located across the road from the shopping centre (Macy's) and behind the Alamo. Room was a bit small and slightly old but clean and well-maintained. Staff were extremely friendly and more than helpful. Great breakfast too.

Great hotel, perfect location. After reading reviews I chose the Crockett for a weekend get-away with my daughter to celebrate her 21st birthday. Since this was a special occasion I wanted everything to be perfect. In advance I asked for a room facing the Alamo, an early check-in. I received an almost immediate response to my emails and everything was ready for us when we arrived early morning. Room was good, clean, the beds super comfortable. I liked the daily breakfast as well. You are within ... Read more

Stayed here for two nights (wed & Thurs night) A great location to walk where you need to go in downtown. My complaints: they need curved shower rods. When your bathing you might stick to the shwr curtain. Rooms also do not have refrigerators so you are obligated to getting ice on two floors or buying and purchasing can drinks for a dollar. Last complaint i did not like that they didn't offer wrapped paper cups besides for the coffee. They had glass cups where there is paper protecting the ... Read more

My husband and I stayed 1 night for our weekend getaway to San Antonio. We are new to Texas and had never been here! The location is perfect!! Our room on the 6th floor overlooked the Alamo, which is directly across the street. River walk and tons of other activities are a super short walk away! The room and the hotel are very clean! Ernie's, the bar in the hotel, had inexpensive drinks and the bartender was great! Hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming and let us check in even though we a... Read more

A friend invited myself and another friend to join her on an overnight trip to San Antonio during Memorial Day weekend. I was excited to find out she'd booked a room at the historic Crockett Hotel since I had always wanted to check it out on previous trips but had never had the time. Since we were joining her last minute, she called to see if there was anyway to change to a room with two double beds instead of the king bed room she originally booked. She was told they were full and no other room... Read more

As I towed a large military family with me across this fine nation, we stopped at the Crockett Hotel for some rest, relaxation, and history. Requesting two rooms, upon check in we discovered that the two rooms did not connect. After talking with the management, they not only found us rooms that connected, but gave us a corner suite upgrade without the upcharge! Though willing to pay for the upgrade, they replied with a simple "Thank you for your service." Crockett Hotel, thank you for the supp... Read more

This wonderful historic hotel literally is right behind the Alamo complex. It is off the beaten path & therefore very quiet. There were 6 of us from our elementary school campus who stayed here and we all loved it. The pool is beautifully landscaped even if it is a bit small (there probably wasn't a pool when it was built!). The complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing both mornings that we were there. The valets were very prompt in bringing the car (& you may take your car an unlimited amount... Read more

My daughter and I had an enjoyable visit in San Antonio, made even more pleasant by our stay at the Crockett Hotel. We were well served and it was so nice to have the car parked and retrieved for us during our stay.

We were really looking forward to staying at this hotel so were very disappointed to find that when we arrived we were booked into, what we thought, was the wrong room. I had booked two deluxe rooms, our travelling companions were given a deluxe room but we were in a completely different size room. At check in we asked if both rooms were deluxe and were told they were. Although we paid the same price as our companions, the room we were initially assigned was half the size of theirs!! After spe... Read more

We stayed at this lovely hotel on our recent trip to San Antonio. We only stayed 2 nights but everything was great. We were able to check in prior to the typical 3pm. Which was nice since we had just flown in and would have had no where to put our luggage. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the bed was SUPER comfy as well. The breakfast was good, we loved the Texas waffles. The location was perfect we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. Short distance from the river walk a... Read more
