This hotel is very close to the base. Rooms are clean. They have a very nice hot breakfast. There isn't anything right by the hotel. You have to drive a few miles to find a restaurant. The staff was friendly upon check-in.

After making an ill informed decision to stay at a different hotel, I chose Country Inn upon waking at 0430 before my daughter's BMT ceremony. Couldn't have been happier. The front desk staff was more than courteous and very helpful. Provided breakfast each day of our stay. Updated rooms and amenities. Very clean and quiet. Ample parking. Short distance to the gate.

I was in town for my husbands Air Force BMT graduation and stayed here for a weekend. This hotel is very clean, friendly staff, beautiful updated decor and rooms. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from base and they are Air Force proud! Great place to stay!

I would highly recommend. I stayed here for a week and it was superb. The breakfast on offer gave a variety of hot and cold breakfast and the rooms were cleaned every other day. Towels were replaced daily and the staff were super friendly and also welcoming. I will definitely be coming back for his Tech School graduation.!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during our sons graduation from Air Force Boot Camp at Lackland Air Force base. This hotel is 2-3 minutes from base and beats the value per dollar spent of any hotel on base. The nicest hotels are actually IN San Antonio which is about a 25 min drive (w/ light traffic) to the base but if you don't require the perks of a 5 star Omni or Hilton this hotel offers a lot of the same comfort as a 4-5 star hotel would but is VERY close to your airman. It was literally 7 mins from the Luke Gate at Lackland. Room was clean, bed and pillows comfy and the staff friendly. It had a nice courtyard pool and was very convenient to fast food, a Denny's, the San Antonio Missions baseball stadium and the base. There was also a hot breakfast served starting at 6 during week and 7 on weekends. Not cheap but worth the extra for clean, safe and comfortable stay. Great place to stay for grad week.

The good: Manager, Steven; close to Lackland AFB; free breakfast; free wifi The bad: all rooms referred to as suites; no elevator The ugly: local area My wife, my youngest son and I stayed here Wednesday, 20 July, through Monday, 26 July, to attend my eldest son's graduation from Air Force basic. We booked a 'suite' through a third-party travel site and did not purchase any trip insurance. We arrived at the hotel early but could not check-in until 3:00p.m. We were greeted by the Manager, Ste... Read more

Close to Lackland and easy to navigate to and from. Great breakfast. Larry from the kitchen was very respectful and eager to please with food choices, made my day. Room was great, quiet, soft beds awesome! No issues getting anything needed, loved the 24hr. Coffee and cookies with our early schedule. Steven was and is the best hotel staff I have ever dealt with. This man truly has the gift of Hospitality and is a treasure worthy of more than just a good review. He made my whole family really feel ... Read more

This hotel was very near Lackland Air Force Base, where our son was graduating from basic training, so that was why we initially considered it. I saw that it got mostly outstanding reviews, as compared to other motels in the area. The rate was very high when I went online, but when I called the hotel to see if they had a different rate than I'd seen, the attendant suggested I book through JBSA Travel, and their rate was FAR lower! And it was a very nice place to stay! Service, rooms, beds, brea... Read more

I chose Country Inns and Suites because of its proximity to Lackland AFB. A quick 5 minute drive will take you to Luke Gate. But it was the excellent service I received during my stay that leads me to highly recommend this hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about Lackland and BMT graduation. If you ask, you can even get a copy of the schedule and a map of Base. My room was very clean and comfortable. The rain shower head in the bathroom delivered the most relaxing shower with t... We recently stayed at the Country Inn while attending a Basic Military graduation at Lackland AFB. The service was amazing. The staff members were all friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and we'll cared for, and the breakfast was amazing. The location is close to the AFB but still only minutes from downtown.

This hotel was nice, clean & conveniently across from the AFB main gate but I would suggest using the Valley Hi gate because most people don't know about it. There are restaurants in the area and plenty of fast food nearby. The hotel was clean, comfortable and pool area was very nice. Wifi service is annoying, you have to reconnect everyday and hotel clerk isn't very knowledgeable on telling you that you have to use Facebook to do so, I actually had to connect thru hotel Facebook because I don'... Country Inn has undergone a recent remodel and they did a spectacular job. The hotel is finely appointed and on par with much more expensive hotel chains. The rooms are clean, well decorated, and thoughtfully laid out. The staff was friendly and cordial. Its location right next to Interstate 10 is ideal. And the price is also very competitive. Pros: Property, rooms, location, staff, price, cleanliness, safe, nice free breakfast. Cons: Slow wi-fi, ridiculous cable tv system. Hard to find with... Read more

Although they say it's renovated, they just slapped paint on the walls and decorated the lobby. The rooms are dark and musty. The towels old and stained. The wash cloth was worn and had holes. The AC was LOUD and so was the highway noise. There is no elevator. It's a MOTEL. It certainly is not 3 stars. I was charged $115 which included taxes. I was there for my daughter's BMT graduation. This motel serves to take advantage of military families. I checked out first thing in the morning an... Read more

This motel was booked because of it convenient location to Lackland AFB. The property was clean and that is very important but I require much more than that to give any property the highest rating. There is no elevator. I was not aware of this until after check-in. Trying to drag luggage upstairs while balancing a cane was definitely an issue. It also made me want to minimize trips up and down the stairs. The pool was outdoors and was too cool to be enjoyable. The hot tub was used, although, a... Read more

We came into San Antonio for a baseball tournament. I was in charge of finding a hotel close to the fields for our group. I chose the Country Inn and Suites based on previous reviews. Glad I did. The group manager, Geneveve was great to work with. The entire staff of more than helpful. Beds were comfy. Even though the hotel was pretty full, I really wasn't bothered by outside noise. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and stay here again should we come back for another tournament.

The location was good, as we were very close to Lackland, and that was the purpose of our trip. There was no elevator and we had to drag our luggage up to the 2nd floor. The hot tub was hot but made no bubbles. When my husband asked, they said it was broken. The staff was friendly. The hotel was older but looked recently remodeled.

Very clean, no bugs, great breakfast, wonderful staff. I was there to attend my daughter's graduation at Lackland AFB. I am very OCD when it comes to staying in hotels. I got to the hotel a few hours early and they let me check in. Extremely clean and friendly environment.

The room was clean and spacious, the problem was using the bathroom! When the light was turned on a horrible racket was started by the fan. In addition, the walls were paper thin and every outside noise was there for you to hear.
