Overall the hotel satisfied our needs for the overnight stay. We ultimately selected the hotel because of the pet policy. We‚??ve stayed at other SPG hotels and we loved our experiences there. The staff were very inviting and we felt very comfortable staying. I didn‚??t get that same feeling. There were a few key things that stuck out to me during this stay and prevent me from providing good ratings. I‚??ve placed them below: 1) We reserved a king/queen bed and provided notice that we would have... Read more

I am not sure to the age of this hotel, but seems rather well worn. Usually Alofts are quite new and well maintained. This one is not. I would recommend a face lift and a stronger quality standards for cleaning I was on the top floor and on a Thursday night it sounded like a dance club was locate outside, not sure were the noise came from exactly but not a quite location, Overall this is not a bad hotel , but for the brand and money a bit disappointing

The hotel was better than expected... We booked the hotel due to several family members having dogs with them, the hotel was clean and smelled very nice for the number of dogs at the hotel and the staff was very friendly .

Room was nice, I did choose the rate that had breakfast included. Due to my diet and without knowledge of what is deemed "breakfast", it was a waste of additional funds. A drink or two from the bar would have been a better option. In other words, had breakfast across the street and Denny's because the wait at The Egg& I was too long. Upon checking out the spg app gave me a total that was about 3x the rate per night. I thought it was a glitch with the app, but no upon checkout that amount was ch... Read more

This Aloft, like all Aloft hotels, was comfortable and well appointed. This one is very close to the airport, and has a shuttle which was very helpful. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodated our requests.

Check in was very fast and I liked how the rooms door scan your key instead of inserting it. Room was very clean and had a small refrigerator. The walls are a little thin I can hear people in the hallway and in other rooms. Aloft pools are always really small more for hanging out not swimming laps. There was a day party at pool if the noise bothers you I would request a room away from the there. Parking and internet is free. Hotel is located in a big shopping center with many restaurants near i... Read more

We have stayed here several times, this place was wonderful! When we brought our dogs with us they CATERED to our furry friends, providing a pillow, bowls and treats! The staff at the front desk and the bar are always super friendly and accommodating!

We stayed their while taking our son to UTSA orientation and we started itching first night, but room was very nice and beds were soft. Pool area was nice, but super crowded because they had a DJ come in to before. Get home with sores on out heads and legs, go to doctor and said bed bugs. Never had these before and we travel a lot! Won't stay here again.

I stayed at the hotel for a family trip to sea world. The hotel is about 20 mins away from the theme park. We were allowed to check in at 12:00! The room was clean and spacious. The lounge area has a very modern look and was not very crowded. Overall I am very satisfied with the stay.

Nice modern hotel thats close to everything including several places to eat. Free wifi, pool, nice bar, fitness room, free parking just to name a few things. Rooms have great amenities including a safe big enough for a laptop and a tablet.

Aloft hotels are very hip with a cool bar (w xyz) and modern rooms. This property is no different. What does make this location unique are all the options within walking distance. Restaurants, check. Drug Store, check. Desserts, check. And the list goes one. Aside from downtown SA, I don't think there very many hotels that gives so many options within walking distance. Also, let's not forget always friendly staff. I have always found them to be very accommodating.

Hotel is ok. I just found it to be weird. Décor and all. Beds are comfy and ac is nice and cold for Texas Heat. I found it to be a loud hotel. I would request a room high up and away from bar. We walked in at about 915pm from a long hot day at Six Flags and wanted peace and quiet. Band was going, super loud in our room. So loud at front counter we couldn't really hear attendant. Room service wouldn't deliver as they said they had no one to bring our food. We ended up going to TGiF to get food.

Be careful about any rate you receive on the phone. You are told one price and then charged a different price. When we discovered the change at check-in, the hotel manager told us the reservations are outsourced and that there was nothing he could do. After 45 minutes on the phone with "customer service", we were told that they would review the phone call and make a determination - after our stay was over! We had no other options so we stayed two nights. When maid service cleaned our room, ... Read more

(This really should be a 3.5 rating. I don't think it pushed the 4 star level due to the food issue, but certainly above a 3, but that is not an option.) Stayed at this location on my down to the Coast. I had two 11 year olds with me and we were all glad to be out of the car. The staff was extremely pleasant both during check-in and check out, even asking if we required a courtesy shuttle to the airport. We ate dinner at the restaurant and that was really the most disappointing thing. My dinn... Read more

A/c wall unit was loud, Soap and shampoo dispensers were dripping all over the grab bar below the dispenser. The dispenser rack itself was rusty. Shower's off/on knob was very loose. Only 1 person at front desk-you need 2 ppl. Having to go downstairs for ice was no good. Room was very clean. Beds were very comfy. Great pillows. Lots of TV channels and in room movies. Room was smaller than it seemed online, but well decorated. Mini-fridge has a freezer and was icy cold. Bar is fabulous! Ba... Read more

Every time iCome to San Antonio for business iAlways stay at this hotel. It's not far from my office, it's nice, it's cute, and it's quite. It's a lot of nice restaurants around the hotel; as well as the Long Starr Mall (the mall with the big boot). Sometimes iThink the rate can be a bit pricey, but iAlways book it regardless. The staff is fair - not always the friendliest, but overall fair.

In a bit of commercial wasteland, but easy access to the airport, highways and San Pedro Avenue. Clean & efficient, helpful staff. The only real drag is the incessant EDM-type sounds blasting out of the elevators. I guess it's intended to keep things upbeat, but it ends up being obnoxious. However this is a minor complaint. Overall very good.

Rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well maintained. Bar area is nice. Breakfast is not free, but good. Staff is ambivalent at best and rude at worst, they're distracted on their phone or talking to each other. Music in elevators is too loud. Ice is available downstairs in the breakfast area only, NOT convenient at all. Great idea, meh execution, but would probably stay there again.

My daughter and I stayed here while visiting Six flags this past weekend. The staff was wonderful! Everyone was so nice, friendly, and always smiling. The room was very clean and trendy! There were plenty of places for us to eat and explore within walking distance and it was very close to Six flags which was a huge plus for us!

We booked this hotel to stay the night for my daughters soccer game early AM the following day. There is some jazz up Friday Nights event in the lobby it was so loud, obnoxious and frightened my 7 and 10 yr old in fact had my husband not been there for protection I would have turned around and left. It does not feel safe AT ALL. It was so loud I could not hear a word the desk staff said while checking in. If you want quiet, upscale or family friendly look elsewhere it is not here!

I am an SPG gold member. This place was a dump through and through. The front desk staff are a bunch of young kids who feel Empowered to do nothing. They were not helpful in the least. The rooms are small. However that's not my complaint, because the idea of the hotel is small lofty rooms. I'm Cool with that. However I did ask for a larger room and was told that the next day I could get a handicap king room with a little more space. (Passing the buck) as I knew he was. Fast forward next morning,... Hotel is nice, though when we walked in the lobby was loud and the bar was packed both inside and out. It's right next to where you check in so you can't avoid it. We are staying two nights. The rooms are very spacious, the bed is beyond cozy, has a nice modern feel. Clean overall. There was a taco truck out front when we arrived late at it was nice to get street tacos before heading to the room. Only complaint so far is the guy at the front desk was rude as he checked us in. I was attending a conference and this was the hotel recommended by the conference organizers. I should have done a more research about it because I would have preferred staying elsewhere. The staff that assisted me where pleasant and I had no complaints with them. Aloft considers itself to be a boutique hotel where you can "stay and play." Music (rock, pop, alternative, etc) is playing all day in the hallways and the elevators. This not exactly what I was looking forward to at 7 am in the mornin... Read more

This hotel needs work and a totally new staff. We stayed at aloft in Asheville and enjoyed it. Sparce rooms are expected but a welcoming and incredible friendly staff makes it fun. This hotel needs a facelift. Toilets missing parts, handles loose and quite run down. Added to that staff is unfriendly and not accommodating. As a gold SPG did not recognize my status. As I said stay away!

The bar is so loud. It was actually a little scary clientele. Couldn't sleep AT ALL. Staff is kind, hence the 1 star. They accommodated me with a fridge and a microwave. Apparently microwaves are only on the 5th floor. Never again. Horrible experience. Certainly not family friendly.

Three yeats ago I stayed here, nice, busy and very convenient. This time...the heavy use showed. The carpets were stained, the public areas felt "hosed clean", the business center computers did not work and the wifi in the rooms/lobby did not work. The staff was very nice. The hotel lobby is loud, as is the clientele. This is probably an ok hotel for groups of young adults, who are not too fussy.

I stayed here before a 5 am flight - it's 10 minutes from the airport door-to-door without traffic. That is a huge plus. However, you can already see the wear-n-tear on the place. I booked this place because I've stayed in an Aloft before and I know what to expect - they're typically clean and consistently nicely designed. However, that wasn't the case with this hotel; it looks like they cut corners when designing and building this hotel - unfortunate because it's relatively new. The lobby is be... Read more
