Friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable staff, comfortable, clean rooms with many free amenities, excellent food and convenient location. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

I stay at this hotel at least 6 times a year...Very convenient for N. Dallas business locations/UT Dallas. Also close to lots of excellent dining opportunities. This is an older hotel that could use a refresh, so don't expect perfection....The price point is excellent and the staff certainly go above and beyond to ensure that stays are excellent.

We bought a package that included festival tickets, room, breakfast and shuttle to and from the site. It was a great deal. Really nice hotel with a wonderful front desk rep named Brittney. She really made us feel welcome. Our room was very nice, especially if you are a business person - lots of electrical outlets and a big desk. Coffee and a fridge and big fluffy towels. Brittney called our room before she went off duty to see if we needed anything! Amazing. The buffet breakfast is just ... Read more

I have stayed at this location quite a few times over the years- some of you may remember it as a Renaissance or an Omni. The fellow who checked me in said it has been a Hyatt for a couple of years. The property is in good shape, but the staff is exceptional- helpful, friendly, effective. Small things can make a so-so trip into a good trip, and I think the hotel staff can really make a difference.

My family stayed at the Hyatt Regency while in town for a funeral. As sad as that occasion was, our time at the hotel lightened our mood. The rooms were comfortable and large enough for 3 adults. It was the dining room that was really special.

I was in town for a funeral and decided against making the trip back to OKC the same day. I called as driving to the hotel and had no issues reserving a room. The check in process was easy and Laura provided me with excellent service. I was booked in room 707, a corner room. The room seemed like a typical Hyatt room. It was exceptionally clean. The TV and work space were positioned in front of the window making it difficult for me to reach the handles to open and close the curtains. The bed was ... Read more

We came to Dallas because my son is attending STEM camp at University of Texas at Dallas. This hotel is only 5 minutes away. The key here may be to have correct expectations. Think three-star business hotel not four-star or five-star luxury hotel and you are tuned in. It's a suburban Hyatt in an older suburb, not a downtown flagship and not a resort. The pool is small, the elevators are slow. It is somewhat dated but not horribly worn. Those are about all the negatives. There are many positives. It is a full-serve hotel, not a limited service hotel. It is frequently better priced than other full-serve hotel... Read more

Good location just off Interstate 75. They really aim to please at this hotel and the pool is open year-round. I find this hotel (a Regency) is typically $30+/night cheaper than the other Hyatts in Dallas (usually Hyatt Places). I have Diamond membership, so I appreciate the included full or buffet breakfast to the lobby fare you get at a Hyatt Place.

Check in was great for a 2 day stay using points, but when we return back to the room on the second day, it had not been cleaned. Had to call down for fresh towels. That night the room charge bill was slipped under the door and the complimentary breakfast buffet for 2 was charged to me for $35 dollars. Had to go to the front desk and got an "oh yeah, sorry". It's a bit older, yet very nice, comfortable & clean. Our electricity went out during a storm on a Sunday night. So we had no place to board our Choc Lab. Luckily the Hyatt allowed dogs. Checked in for the 4th of July holiday on Sunday. 18th floor, corner room. The room was dark, moist and musky. A storm rolled through and the hotel lost power for hours. No A/C, my spouse's CPAP sleep machine couldn't function. This made for a VERY rough night. Went into the hallway, lights worked, looked for staff, couldn't find anyone. It would've been nice for them to do a walk through to make sure everyone was okay. But, I guess when you're on the 18th floor that's unlikely.

This is usually the only hotel I stay in North Dallas as long as it isn't over 40mins away! First, the hotel is clean, friendly and has the best staff. Perfect for us travelers who need multiple outlets for our gear and places to sit as we work on the go. Good gym, bar, and lounge areas where you can work and/or relax. Also PLENTY of choices for other food nearby where you can walk if need be. Could not recommend it any higher.

Dated, tired ok..I can handle. Bad breakfast, I can handle. Bar server sneezing into hands and not washing them....I won't do. Luckily this happened first nite of a 3 nite stay. I refused any further food, water or items from restaurant and bar staff.

The hotel itself is clean, well furnished, located centrally to UTD, the beds are super comfy. Service could use some improvement. Front desk gave no info when checking in. Food in bar was pretty good. We weren't sure if the restaurant was open. Every time we went by it was closed. This could be an outstanding hotel with some customer service improvements. Rooms could stand some sound proofing.

Chose this hotel for a funeral based on a family member's advice and their agreed-upon corporate rate discount. The "discount" rate of $85/night quoted could not be had...typical song-and-dance routine of "no block of rooms reserved...blah, blah, blah." Different rates for the first night versus the second night and very different (higher!!) rate for another family member staying only one night...very off-putting. The hotel itself was adequate but the rooms were on the smaller side for this pr... Read more

I stayed here for a week during a business trip in October 2016. I got over 30 bits on my neck and body. I requested new pillows. They replaced the pillows with the same smelly ones. I also spoke to the manager. He suggested that guests bring their own sheets and pillows. This was the worst experience in my years of business travel.

Nice hotel. Generally one of the better hotels in the area for the price. Hotel restaurant and bar can be pricey but arent they all. Elevated train next to hotel can be a bit noisy at time, but other than that, the hotel is great.

The Hyatt is conveniently located near the highway, and conference facilities are very good, as is the restaurant for breakfast meetings. Rooms are adequate. The hotel will be undergoing a complete renovation, which it sorely needs.

This Hotel is OK kind of stay is you come for business and do not plan to spend many hours in the hotel room. Great location, but overpriced. Our breakfast was in cluded into the daily package, otherwise plan to spend 15-18 dollars for breakfast. I guess this place is routinely booked by corporate visitors, thus the hotel feels no competition and relaxes the standards. My trip is over, and I will finally will sleep in my own bed! Good night and good luck, Hyatt Regency!

Knowing that this hotel is in higher, if not highest category, their basic internet access was significantly slow and they charged for business center services like internet access and printing. As compared to Marriott small hotel chains like SpringHill Suites or Fairfield Inn & Suites, these services are for free and a lot faster. Very disappointed with this experience.

I stayed this hotel in Oct of 2016 for a 3-day workshop there. This hotel is located at the sub-urban area of Dallas near Texas Instruments and some other IT companies. This is a typical Hyatt hotel nothing special but nothing below. This hotel is about 10 or 15 minutes walk from a train station by which you can access the Dallas city center. This hotel is not convenient to access from the DFW airport. The taxi fare is around 60 dollars - someone with Uber paid less. There are a lot of resta... Read more

this hotel is not what it appears on line, it is old, they are not helpful, food not good, workout room old and outdated, the shuttle offers to take you within 10 miles good luck with that, its late, its unreliable and there is nothing around here, the staff is young and very frustrating, my room smelled, the heat did not work, the food was cold for room service and I would NEVER stay here again, this hotel needs to be leveled and removed.

Everything was just perfect. The check in was quick and easy, the room was comfortable and always kept very clean. The breakfast was awesome with lots of options. The salt water pool and hot tub were a refreshing way to spend the evening after a quick workout in the extensive exercise facilities.

This is a decent hotel but we it is very inconsistent. The staff are hot and cold with service. Rooms are fine but nothing special. The gym is really poor... if you want a cardio machine, get there by 515 or you will be out of luck.

Just checked in after 30 minutes to straighten out why my confirmation was in another name, but got to the room and found no refrigerator nor microwave. Their website advertises these things as "standard amenities". Standard, I guess, if you ask for them. Granted, they offered no objection, but why should I have to ask for them at a Hyatt?! Comfortable room, otherwise.

Awful hotel. Old. No refrigerators in room - no microwave. Old bathroom. I got totally price gouged ! The rate was $240 !!! So I expected a nice Regency - it was worse than La Quinta! I left a day sooner and went to the Hilton Granite Park / Plano. MUCH BETTER hotel - so choose that one - you'll love it. I had a talk with the hotel manager - who did ZERO for me and I'm almost a Diamond member ! He did absolutely nothing for me. As a hotel manager - you did a terrible job! In fact, I c... Read more

Stayed here for three nights for my daughter's first child being born in a local hospital. I would agree with the previous poster "Manager". The hotel is worn out and in need of a major makeover, or should be sold off to another brand to get a fresh scrub. We arrived in our room to a plugged toilet and a lights that would not work. The workout facility needs new equipment. Didn't try the food, so that might be a plus. On the flip side, it was a very cheap rate, but in the end there are bet... Read more

I have regularly stayed at the downtown Regency in Dallas, and this was my first foray into the north country. It is nicely located, with many advantages over going downtown. Although some minor problems associated with new employees, Sal Soleto (Front Desk Management) was really amazing. He represents all one would expect at this level of Hyatt properties. I would highly recommend the property.

The Hyatt North Dallas is showing its age. With any hotel, the management must remain diligent in the 'standard' upkeep or get in the place where they are now. Ive been told of a planned rehab...it will take time but with patience and a ONTOP crew it can be accomplished

I stayed at Hyatt Regency North Dallas 3 days over Thanksgiving, 2016. Even though I've stayed there many times before, this time there were multiple problems on multiple levels. The room had several malfunctions all the way from a non-heating heater to a door lock that locked us out of the room for two of the three nights. The maintenance crew repaired the heater after the first night, but the crew repaired the door locking mechanism THREE times and even after the third time, they did not repai... Read more
