We checked in here after driving all day through the South. The receptionist was very friendly and so was the rest of the staff. The room was nice and comfy. The breakfast had variety to choose from. I would stay here again.

Reasonable price, small room, but expected from the name. Clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but lacked choices you might find if you paid a higher price. Satisfied with the entire experience.

First night the fire alarms went blasting 3 times and no one offer explanation . The second night the alarms blasted 2 times. This along with the 5 kids and the parents above our room. Actually not think you could have this many in one room. Upon check in , no one was at desk. I waited about 10 mins for someone to check me in.

The gentleman who checked us in around 4pm on Tuesday, June 21 was cordial. Our room was on the 2nd floor. The room was small, but it served our needs. My son loved the window seat and chose to sleep there during our stay. We had the usual room accessories. Coffee pot, microwave, iron, hairdryer, mini-fridge, and clean linens. We were happy with the decision to stay here at this point. It was close to Gruene, minutes from the Comal and Schlitterbahn. The breakfast was good. But had no boiled e... Read more

Forgot to make a hotel reservation for a trip to New Braunfels, TX. The hotels were pretty well picked over when I got to town and I ended up settling on a Microtel. I don't think I have ever stayed at a Microtel before and to be honest - I really wasn't expecting much. Got to say though, I was really impressed. The front desk agent was very pleasant (sorry, I didn't catch his name - PM shift 6/27) and efficient. The room was decorated nicely and designed well. Functional. Since I walked ... Read more

Free breakfast left much to be desired. Rooms are small, but clean. No microwave in room, but did have a small fridge. TV channel selection was sad and the channel numbering system was very confusing. No movie channels. Pool area was nice. Front desk was nice. Probably won't stay here again.

Our first stay here was ok. we usually stay at another hotel nearby but decided to try Microtel. The staff are all very nice and friendly. The rooms were ok, the beds were clean but hard. The ac worked well so that was a plus. The shower super clean. The breakfast was a no go. The area is super small ( because the hotel is) and it is very cramped to try to pick what you like without banging into someone. They have only 1 waffle iron so good luck getting one. The biscuits and gravy were ok as lon... Read more

The pictures are really not up to par!!! This place is hideous!!! The rooms are small, not kept, and what's up with the wall of mirrors above the beds?? And the blonde lady in the front desk is sooooo rude!!! The bathrooms are the smallest I've ever seen in my life. Do not recommend.

To start with I don't think my points were added to my Wyndham account. We did not have a microwave in our room. My husband asked for one and we never received it. Our couch had stains on it, like fresh stains. Totally disgusting. We asked for another room. Non were available, supposedly There was stains on the pillows. We didn't use them. The beds were so very hard and we couldn't sleep. Breakfast, well the lady who makes it was using the microwave the whole time heating up biscuits. Whi... Read more

I've stayed at several different Wyndham properties and have always been more than pleased with the cleanliness. This property was a huge disappointment. When we checked into our room we were greeted with grossly stained carpet and window seat cushions, stains on the ceilings and walls. Just made us feel dirty. The most shocking part, wet towels hanging on towel drying hooks in the bathroom! Just disgusting!!! Oh and the stains/ mud on the bed skirts and mattress covers. Urgh. Never a... Read more

I realize this is a budget hotel...we just stayed one night & weren't expecting to be in the room much. HOWEVER, we were in a handicapped suite that no one warned us about. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. The foldout couch was so squeaky that it woke us every time my daughter moved. And worst of all, the room got hot in the middle of the night for no reason. My parents are Club Wyndham members, so I chose based on the name alone. That was a mistake.

Great location, close to numerous restaurants, but especially Schlitterbahn and Canyon Lake. Pool is only so-so, rather small. Breakfast was ok. I would recommend requesting 3rd floor, if possible. We were on 2nd floor and had to contact front desk several times about occupants in room above us running and jumping. Internet was a bit slow at times, or would disconnect altogether.

High season here in July and the hotel seems full every night. Parking lot is full in the evenings and with all the pickup trucks, a regular space can seem difficult to get in and out of. My room was on the second floor near the elevator but my two nights, there wasn't a whole lot of noise from summer time guests like families with plenty of kids. Yes, there was a bit of noise from the floor above but after a certain hour, it ended. The A/C was a bit noisy but that hum at night made for easi... Read more

Overall we got what we paid for with this hotel. The window cushion was stained and torn, carpet was stained and shower seemed to be stained (not dirty). We were required to pay $20 extra to check-in early which has never been required of any of our Wyndham stays. I did pay this as it was a convenience for us to put our things in the room instead of leaving them in a hot car while we floated the river. The lady who checked us in and out could work on being more friendly, but for the price it ser... Read more

Our family stayed 3 nights here. We went for a trip to Sclitterbahn. For the money we spent, it was a decent hotel. The beds were comfortable and it was pretty clean. The breakfast was good. It seemed like a safe area and centrally located to park and malls. If you are trying to save money it's a good choice. Only complaint was that the shower was very weak

Stayed one night with my family during a short vacation in the area. Reserved room through Priceline. For what I paid a good room for one night. Friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast although not expecting much was bad. Biscuits and gravy tasted bad. Texas size waffle was fair. Rooms appeared to be cleaned.

The staff was helpful but rarely seen. The lobby smelled of stale urine. Maybe a past water leak?? The room was clean and suited our needs. The beds were the MOST uncomfortable beds we have ever experienced. We travel at least once a month and stay in a variety of hotels. These beds were, by far, the worst. We almost cut our trip short by a night because of a very restless and sleepless first night. If you like sleeping on plywood softened by cement blocks, then this is the place for you!

Good bed lighting/mirror arrangement. Depressing, puce light over desk with good wood chair. Excellent space for luggage. Nice room amenities. Efficient daytime desk staff; warm and friendly nighttime staff. Simple breakfast fare. Avoid pool-end rooms if a light sleeper: busy intersection, stairwell and exterior door. Room 101 stayed very humid the entire four days, night and day. Nighttime desk attendant took report.
