Room was updated but not very clean. Had ants, neighbors were loud till late. Stayed in the cottages. Shower curtain had mold on it. It was a long walk from parking to any activities at the resort from the cottages. We really enjoyed the pool area!

Got here at 4:30pm and checked in to a villa. Toilet had poop in it and while villa was dirty. After an hour, they moved us down a couple of villas and it was mostly clean but....THE WATER WAS OFF!! After another hour, guest services said a pipe was busted underneath and they would send someone to "fix" it...45 minutes later, no one came yet!! We have been here 3.5 hours and still have NO ROOM!!!

The Waterpark is really what makes this hotel. It's a nice hotel and the rooms in the tower are nice, but the hallways to the rooms have not been updated since probably 1960. The hallways are dark, the ceiling low, the carpet horrendous and the floor boards rotten. My kids kept saying it was haunted. That's how ominous it looks walking from the elevator to your room. The pools and Waterpark are nice, especially for the kids! The restaurant had probably the worst service ever and it was far from ... Read more

It was a great family vacation. The staff was so helpful and kind and attentive to our needs. Waterpark, golf course and mini golf was good. Food and bar was excellent. Our rehearsal dinner was just as we had planned and paid for. We had a wonderful weekend. Our guests want to go back. The valet shuttle drivers were very good.

We arrived for a work related meeting on Thursday, June 16, around 5:30 p.m. It was utter chaos, as several cars were all in a row; some were choosing valet parking, and others opted to park on their own. The message is clear ! Parking is across the lake, which is all the tennis courts. In the meantime, we chose to unload luggage & park our car . An employee asked us to move our car forward, in the "fire lane." That wasn't a feasible option for us. In front of the event center there are 4 or 5 p... Read more

Our suite was lovely with a balcony with view of the pool and a bit of the lake. The bathroom was large with a great stand alone shower on one end and a soaking tub on the other. Perfect for my husband and me. Stay away from the golf cottages if you are looking for convenience, cool and excellent appointments. They are too far away from everything, mildewy and just not up to par. We had a reservation for one of those and changed to the hotel. The front desk clerk Jennifer was very sympathetic... Read more

The rooms are huge and beyond beautiful. If you have a large party, book one of the cottages. The waterpark/swimming pool is great for kids and the convention space/meeting rooms are beautiful, classy and very comfortable. This was our second conference here and I'm also happy to say that the Lakeside restaurant was much improved over last year. The meals there this year were delicious. Can't really think of anything to complain about. Very nice resort!!!!

Bedding decent. 2 tv's as you get a 2 room suite. Pool area decent. Kids and adult pools with a lazy river. Tennis and golf on property. Fitness center flooded so moved to a cottage. Great stay at this lake resort. I highly recommend it for families with young children. The conference area is very well kept and it was nice to mix business with family fun. The rooms are spacious and there are reasonable restaurants onsite. You definitely have to rent a car to get to this location from the Houston airport. Once you arrive an hour later you will be pleased.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. They have a unfortunate arachnid infestation in many of the rooms and balconies. I'm sure many guests have raised this issue, however they don't seem to do much about it. We have a 6 month old baby, Spiders in rooms is a problem. Maintenance team also stated they don't seem to prioritize this issue. The food is less than mediocre and over-priced. There are little options to eat out and all of them apart from the $60 Steak house are very poor quality. ... Read more

We stayed in the tower. The room did not appear dirty until you took a close look. The carpets have an intricately dark design that makes "stuff" blend in. There was trash and large dust bunnies on the floor, under the dust ruffle of the bed and behind the curtains. It looked as though the room hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Of course we didn't notice most of this until we were checking behind the curtains to make sure not to leave any toys. Something was leaking in the room, because the... Read more

We found this place by pure luck online one day and fell in love our first visit there! My husband, son and myself had a mini vacation there & we have been back 3 times. Each time they go above & beyond our expectations. The level of customer service is always top notch. There is something for everyone so that all can have a good time. Summer is by far our favorite time to go because of the aquatic area. Love this place and of course we cannot wait to return!

Our room was a golf cottage we booked for more than 200 USD for one night.. We had a very bad stay there as the TV reception was poor, the Internet access was not working properly and the hot water very long to come in the morning . First of all - let me say this up front. If there's a good chance of rain during your stay, cancel your reservation. Once the pool closes, there's nothing to do. The disappointing factors are the following. The lounge/bar area and sushi area was hot and muggy we where told by the staff the AC was out of order and had been for a while, the hall ways needed to be cleaned better. One night we ordered room service, and set the dishes outside the room afterwards, and they sat out for... Read more

This resort is great for families with small children. 12 and under seem to have the best time at the aqua parks. We spent the weekend with 6 adults and 6 grandchildren, ages 8years to 1 year. Each had their favorite part of the pool area. We took advantage of Kids Night. The kids loved it! The parents enjoyed dinner at the Lakeside restaurant and drinks at the sushi bar. They finished out the night at the karaoke bar. The resort did need some cleaning, but the kids didn't care. And the weekend... Read more

La Torretta is definitely a must-see resort! Endless activities to keep the kids entertained. The villa we booked was spacious with beautiful bathrooms. The beds were extremely soft and comfy. The only problem we had was that the housekeeper never came by to maintain the villa. The activities included a fabulous water park that the kids enjoyed all day. Numerous pools with so many different options in each pool had the kids running back and forth. There were on the first day more than enough ch... Read more

We enjoyed the pool but nothing more extra ordinary. We could have given 5 stars if all the facilities are well taken care of. The arcade is open but not appealing. No wonder why no teenagers hang out in that place, it looks scary and isolated plus the fact that the token dispensers are not working. In other words, my kids were not able to play. Mini golf could have been better if its not flooded after a 5 min, rain, Tennis court is not clean though Tennis racket are available for use and so... Read more

This is a beautiful resort tucked away just north of Houston on Lake Conroe. I was there on business, but upon my arrival, I immediately regretted not bringing along at least one of my bass fishing combos! During my stay, much of Texas was experiencing uncharacteristically heavy rainfall for the middle of August. The rain did not deter the younger guests from taking advantage of the large water park on the property however. Full amenities are available, although I did not personally get a chance... Read more

This place is beautiful! Our room was spacious and clean. Loved the space and the view was amazing. The pool and lazy river were top notch. But....the King bed had no box springs...just a mattress on a 'platform.' The shower was HUGE, which was really cool, but the shower head was ancient and not great. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up. The balcony was covered in spider webs and looked to be in disrepair. Overall, not bad, but not great. We were there for a conference and the onsite restauran... Read more

Our room and view was amazing, the staff are courteous, the food choices are plentiful and the spa is better than any spa around. The staff learned that it was our wedding anniversary and gave us a special treat in the spa and had wine and cheese delivered to our room.

Relaxing and fun place on the lake. Had fun with family over the labor day weekend. They have guest houses on the property might have to come back and stay out there. Seem like it would be fun for a good group stay.

My daughter came up Friday September 23rd. I was not impressed when I arrived. Guest services seemed as though they were unsure of the layout of the facility. It was dark when we arrived so we got lost trying to find where to go. Overall the customer service of the staff was poor. The spa was the best thing from our trip although the customer service in the spa lacked the massage and room accomadations were great. The overall facility appearance was poor. Look more like a recreational facility t... Read more

We stayed at one of the cottages while we attended a wedding in Montgomery. It was wonderful. It was like we had our own little house. The only thing is there was no microwave in our room, which is fine just something you may want to look for when booking. We would absolutely stay here again. It was so perfect, clean, and big.

We arrived on Friday, September 23rd, and stayed until Sunday. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment we checked into the hotel till we left. The wait staff at the pool was very nice and provided good food/drink service, the valet people were very helpful and offered us rides on the golf carts to go to the mini golf area, and the wait staff at 157 Restaurant was also very friendly (the gentleman making the omelets/waffles was awesome!) and they were able to put up with our par...
