Room was updated but not very clean. Had ants, neighbors were loud till late. Stayed in the cottages. Shower curtain had mold on it. It was a long walk from parking to any activities at the resort from the cottages. We really enjoyed the pool area!

Got here at 4:30pm and checked in to a villa. Toilet had poop in it and while villa was dirty. After an hour, they moved us down a couple of villas and it was mostly clean but....THE WATER WAS OFF!! After another hour, guest services said a pipe was busted underneath and they would send someone to "fix" it...45 minutes later, no one came yet!! We have been here 3.5 hours and still have NO ROOM!!!

The Waterpark is really what makes this hotel. It's a nice hotel and the rooms in the tower are nice, but the hallways to the rooms have not been updated since probably 1960. The hallways are dark, the ceiling low, the carpet horrendous and the floor boards rotten. My kids kept saying it was haunted. That's how ominous it looks walking from the elevator to your room. The pools and Waterpark are nice, especially for the kids! The restaurant had probably the worst service ever and it was far from ... Read more

Reservations for my stay were made by another individual in my family. My mistake was not reviewing the the hotel reviews. My cottage was located at the golf course. These cottages are arranged in a neighborhood setting which during the day are fine but at night not so good. Lighting was in my opionion was extremely poor. Arrived at my cottage at 10:30 pm and was extremely uncomfortable trying to navigate the grounds to reach the front door. Because of the inadequate lighting outside and where I... Read more

It was a great family vacation. The staff was so helpful and kind and attentive to our needs. Waterpark, golf course and mini golf was good. Food and bar was excellent. Our rehearsal dinner was just as we had planned and paid for. We had a wonderful weekend. Our guests want to go back. The valet shuttle drivers were very good.

We arrived for a work related meeting on Thursday, June 16, around 5:30 p.m. It was utter chaos, as several cars were all in a row; some were choosing valet parking, and others opted to park on their own. The message is clear ! Parking is across the lake, which is all the tennis courts. In the meantime, we chose to unload luggage & park our car . An employee asked us to move our car forward, in the "fire lane." That wasn't a feasible option for us. In front of the event center there are 4 or 5 p... Read more

Our suite was lovely with a balcony with view of the pool and a bit of the lake. The bathroom was large with a great stand alone shower on one end and a soaking tub on the other. Perfect for my husband and me. Stay away from the golf cottages if you are looking for convenience, cool and excellent appointments. They are too far away from everything, mildewy and just not up to par. We had a reservation for one of those and changed to the hotel. The front desk clerk Jennifer was very sympathetic... Read more

The rooms are huge and beyond beautiful. If you have a large party, book one of the cottages. The waterpark/swimming pool is great for kids and the convention space/meeting rooms are beautiful, classy and very comfortable. This was our second conference here and I'm also happy to say that the Lakeside restaurant was much improved over last year. The meals there this year were delicious. Can't really think of anything to complain about. Very nice resort!!!!

Stayed here for trade show. No problems checking in. Hallways a bit dark. Rooms surprising big with large bathrooms. TV remotes difficult to use. Platform beds with uncomfortable pillows. Bedding decent. 2 tv's as you get a 2 room suite. Pool area decent. Kids and adult pools with a lazy river. Tennis and golf on property. Fitness center flooded so moved to a cottage. Older style machines and no television in the fitness center. Conference center very adequate. Friendly employees and food pretty... Read more

Great stay at this lake resort. I highly recommend it for families with young children. The conference area is very well kept and it was nice to mix business with family fun. The rooms are spacious and there are reasonable restaurants onsite. You definitely have to rent a car to get to this location from the Houston airport. Once you arrive an hour later you will be pleased.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. They have a unfortunate arachnid infestation in many of the rooms and balconies. I'm sure many guests have raised this issue, however they don't seem to do much about it. We have a 6 month old baby, Spiders in rooms is a problem. Maintenance team also stated they don't seem to prioritize this issue. The food is less than mediocre and over-priced. There are little options to eat out and all of them apart from the $60 Steak house are very poor quality. ... Read more

We stayed in the tower. The room did not appear dirty until you took a close look. The carpets have an intricately dark design that makes "stuff" blend in. There was trash and large dust bunnies on the floor, under the dust ruffle of the bed and behind the curtains. It looked as though the room hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Of course we didn't notice most of this until we were checking behind the curtains to make sure not to leave any toys. Something was leaking in the room, because the... Read more

This place came highly recommended to me by a friend. I went online and booked the day pass to the Aqua Park for my husband, 11 year old daughter and me! We visited on Monday, July 4th. Now when booking for the day it states "Receive a suite from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm PLUS four passes to the AquaPark." We arrived (after a one hour drive) at 8:30 a.m. There was only one hostess working the front desk. The line was quite lengthy, 3 or 4 people ahead of me and then a few behind me. I was not... The facility is huge spread out and very well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff are extremely friendly and always willing to please and assist. We found this place by pure luck online one day and fell in love our first visit there! My husband, son and myself had a mini vacation there & we have been back 3 times. Each time they go above & beyond our expectations. The level of customer service is always top notch. There is something for everyone so that all can have a good time. Summer is by far our favorite time to go because of the aquatic area. Love this place and of course we cannot wait to return!

Be warned, this isn't a Disney Resort or a Hilton. It is a three star hotel with Great amenities. That isn't a negative comment about the resort, just set your expectation. We stayed in the cottages. I was worried when I drove up, looked a little run down from the outside. The insides were probably recently renovated so they were new but cheaply done. No large fridge or kitchenette in the cottages although there was plenty of room for that. Great water park and lake access, surprised that... Read more

We arrived on July 4th and got to our room just fine; it smelled musty. We had a junior suite which I recommend for families. Rooms have a fridge which his nice and a huge bathroom. The grounds and lake are beautiful. Such a nice spot for Houstonians that do not see much lake water. The putt-putt course and tennis courts were in great condition. The restaurants (sushi bar & Lakeside) were both fantastic! The service was lacking though. Pool was operating on skeleton staff. Our server at the pool was super sweet & kind BUT way out numbered - not her fault. Pool bar could use a big upgrade - pretty run down. Our kids loved the pool slides. The hotel staff was also la... We came for a wedding and booked a room here with the wedding room block. They added the 25$ resort fee which annoyed us since we had so many rooms booked. The rooms weren't as nice as the website described, bed wasn't very comfortable. Room wasn't as clean as it could have been. Everything shuts down early so bring food and drinks to keep in your room. The staff is extremely disorganized and the breakfast buffet overly priced at 19.99!

We stayed at the Villas, which was only a short walk to the main hotel. The rooms were exceptionally huge: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1 large living area, 1 smaller living area, plus 2 front entrance doors, & 2 patios facing the lake. Food was okay but no breakfast nearby, so we drove to the nearby Walmart for groceries. We were there for an automobile auction, and the experience was just okay for the sellers, but that was not a fault of the hotel. The main hotel area did seem a bit dated, but where... Read more
