This hotel is showing it's wear for the 6 years it has been there and the upkeep of the rooms is reflective of this. Housekeeping, room maintenance and food quality all need improvement. I really do hope these reviews are taken seriously and acted upon.

Pretty much disappointed overall. The staff was friendly and cheerful. However, the hotel has 4 floors and only an ice machine on the 1st and 3rd floors. Most important is that the WiFi was absolutely HORRIBLE. This is a fairly new hotel and they should have this issue worked out long ago. There is a TV guide they SHOULD give you when you check in. It is Time Warner Cable and you have to scroll forever to find out what is where. Very unfriendly. The ladies bathroom in the lobby did not have an... Read more

Great place to stay when in the Dallas/Frisco/McKinney area. Staff is above helpful and professional. Enjoyed the stay. the staff helped me save $40 dollars with an AARP membership. Saving helps me stay a day longer. Thanks, LaQuinta, love being a preferred customer.

This hotel is in a good location for what I came to town for. The breakfast is OK, I don't care for bagels and white bread, but the eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy are good. The floors on the first floor are messy because of all of the construction workers which stay there.

Reservation was never set, so no room available except an uncharged room. When I contacted LQ about that, got the typical reply of "So sorry for you!" I took it, only to find the room unclean and NOT ready. Mattress was a rock. Points were irredeemable. Why do I bother?

Very inferior hotel---not even a closet in the room! WiFi free but it never worked. Definitely needs to be updated and reconditioned. Not worth the amount paid for it. Very convenient location so if it was updated and renovated could be very competitive for the area.

I guess La Quinta must have a very friendly policy for dogs as they were all over hotel unleashed. Rooms very dirty and smell like mold and dog piss. Receptionist working front desk and breakfast so service horrible. Keys did not work repeatedly and WiFi useless. Highly recommend to take your money elsewhere if you have any sense of smell. DISGUSTING.

The La Quinta in McKinney was very quiet, which I enjoy. The breakfast was good for convenience and choices. MS Jeanne assisted me with my reservation, she was quite pleasant.. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Sincerely, Mary

Came all the way from Nebraska and Florida for a family function. We were told during the reservation process that we could get a joining rooms. Got to the hotel to check in and we're told no a joining rooms, we should have never been told we could. Then with the terrible heat my little 7year old wanted to swim we were told that the pool was closed till inspection from state. La Quinta Inn, you have failure our Family!

My twins and I were in McKinney playing a basketball tournament at PSA and the hotel was five minutes away. We saw families from the other teams and spoke with several families staying there for a baseball tournament nearby as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close enough to shopping and dining without being right in the middle of a high traffic area. The outdoor pool was small but adequate. They are pet friendly so my boys enjoyed the dogs we got to see since we missed o... Read more

Building looked nice from the outside, but disappointed on the inside. The hotel lobby was dirty and the elvators had hair and toothpicks in them. The hallways were dirty and baseboards looked like they haven't been cleaned in a while. Once inside them room, the bathroom had hair in the sink. The hair dryer had hair on and in it. The bathroom towels were damp as was the air in the room. The carpets hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Unfortunatly we had made reservations for two days. The whole ti... Read more

The staff at this hotel is awesome! Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. When I had trouble with the Internet they fixed it right away. At one point my door key stopped working and not only did they give me two replacements, they had a staff member go with me to the room to make sure they worked. They were knowledgeable about the area and happy to provide suggestions of restaurants and the easiest way to get to where I needed to go. Overall a great experience and I will definitely s... This was an excellent stay for a time with great stress and the accommodations for my cat were the reason I chose the hotel but would not necessarily be the reason to stay there again. The staff were wonderful and always went out of their way to make you feel that you were at your home away from home. If I had to stay in a hotel for this long again I would choose La Quinta Inn and Suites of McKinney, Texas!

Stayed 3 nights in this location. Everything worked and was clean enough, just a few things seemed off. You don't have a bedspread but on your bed is a set of sheets some kind of blanket and then a flat sheet on top. That may be more sanitary and easier to keep clean but I had just never seen it before. Vending machines on floors are hit and miss on 2nd floor you got a snack one, on 3rd floor you got ice only. I quit at those 2. The worst part of the visit was the toilets are really short.... Read more

I stayed at this hotel during my move to California and could not say enough great things about it. The staff went over and beyond to help with things to do for my family (we wanted the trip to be more of a vacation rather than moving across country) and to be sure that we were taken care of while at the hotel. Thank you for everything. Best hotel we stayed at during the LONG drive.

Beautiful hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff was especially nice and quick to service. Our kids even enjoyed staying there and especially loved the breakfasts. The rooms were spacious enough that we weren't walking all over each other as well. Will definitely be back!

Had to stay here while ac in our house was being replaced. Room was clean and quiet. The ac in the room was awesome! The only problem we incurred was the hotel laundry dryer coin operated device got stuck and we had a lot of wet clothes. The clerk offered to dry them in their laundry. Great service at this hotel! Will stay again.

First, the Staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help. The manager was new and is trying to make changes. If I were La Quinta, I would revoke their franchise, or however they work. The OWNER is the problem. He or she, will not spend the necessary money that is needed to bring the place up to La Quinta standards. The carpets are filthy and need to be replaced. We had to demand that they take the spoiled and rotten fruit off of the breakfast bar. They were so ashamed of the... Read more

I stayed in this hotel during a vacation to see old friends and attend a wedding in Dallas. I was mostly only there at night, but when I was there the staff was always super friendly and helpful. Free breakfast, Wifi, comfortable beds/rooms, and the price isn't bad. Also, Texas-shaped waffles.

I have stayed at this hotel twice before, and every time I am very satisfied with my experience. I would highly recommend checking this out if you need a hotel in the McKinney area. There is a little construction going on around it so be on the lookout for the entrance. Great hotel!

I loved everything about this hotel. It looks brand new. Rooms were nice, breakfast was really good. Staff was very friendly. My only issue was the WiFi kept dropping. My room had a physical network port, so I connected to that. No problems after that.

Great place to stay in McKinney, TX. Best access to the local youth sports complexes. Also a five-ten minute drive to the Friso shopping or sports stadiums. Restaurants are close but only one is in walking distance. I try to stay at La Quinta in McKinney simply because it's the easiest hotel to get in and out of quickly to avoid traffic issues.

Rooms were quiet, and the staff was friendly. All areas were clean. Breakfast was average (only downside was employee's kids grazing at the breakfast bar - get a plate and sit! And getting their hair done by mom in front of the food.). Parking is good and well lit.

We stayed at the McKinney location last weekend and the hotel was okay. The staff was friendly and booking was easy which was nice. The room was fairly clean except there were a few crickets on the floor which is GROSS! They offer continental breakfast but we didn't take advance of it. We did get some coffee but it was very weak and tasted burned. Not the best experience but could have been worse.

Wonderful experience at the La Quinta! Visited on business and immediately felt welcomed by the very knowledgeable and kind staff member Eternity. The breakfast was hot and delicious, the staff was very kind and attentive, and the newer facility was clearly well taken care of. Bonus was having ample uber drivers in the area to take you to Plano or into the town! Would recommend using this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

I really like the La Quinta Hotels. I travel with my dogs because I judge dog shows and compete in dog shows. We who do this always pick up after our dogs and this hotel provided stations that supplied bags and receptacles to throw the waste. Very handy. My dogs are very small but can bark when they hear a noise in the hallway. The hotel was very quiet so they were very quiet. Nice for everyone.

Only negative thing I can think of is breakfast was served too late on the weekend. I had to be up and gone before 7 am. There were many others (dog sports, baseball people) that had to leave before breakfast was served. Everything was great.

The hotel is fairly new and clean. Most of the staff are friendly and do a good job. The excellent customer service by Asher and Dominique at the front desk is the main reason I rated this hotel so highly. They have gone above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.
