This hotel was updated recently but whatever was improved was nullified by multiple issues during a weekend stay in McAllen. There was an issue with long delays for valet and plan on taking your luggage to the room without help except for a dollie in the lobby. Two elevators were not functioning making elevator usage crowded and slow. The rooms are your typical suites with outdated furniture. It took three room changes before finding a room that did not smell or have adequate air conditioning. Th... Read more

We stayed on the 7th floor and one of the 3 elevators was out of order, not fun when you've got several little league football team kids running around without parents anywhere. The rooms were clean and the service was great, but our shower drain was clogged and the power outlets in the bathroom did not work, a bit of a problem when you have two females staying in the room. The staff at the front desk and at the dinning area were great and very helpful.

Beware! This hotel is still under construction and very loud. I planned a staycation which turned out to be a disaster. Staff excellent but had I known about the construction, I would not have stayed here. There are many newer hotels in the area that just opened.

I'm currently staying here and will be here the rest of the week on business. The parking lot here is absolutely ridiculous! This is the 2nd day in a row that I've had to park in the hospital parking lot next door due to the fact this hotel has LIMITED parking. Very inconvenient especially if your leaving early am and returning late in the evening. My workplace booked this hotel so I don't have a choice in leaving unless I wanna pay out of my own pocket. The rooms are comfortable and decent but ... Read more

I would rather stay on the island if the price was right. The staff was OK but not top shelf. I did go the bar a few times and for a location like this the drinks should be free for a bit due to the fact that I am in McAllen.

Fluctuation in water temperature. Dirty restroom floor. AC not working properly. Awesome breakfast. Overall a motel 8 could do better. 1 king suite. Not worth the $142 a night by far. I would not recommend this place for the meantime. Until they get their act together.

Great hotel and overall stay. Food was good and rooms very clean. Staff was friendly but unaware of how to operate or set up the digital key and my key card stopped working 4 times. Great location. Airport shuttle available but didn't use it personally. All the literature says the restaurant closes at 11 but they actually close at 10.

It has been a nightmare! My credit card was overcharged by $225 even though I told the front desk at the moment of check-out. It has been more than a month, more than 10 phone calls, more than 10 emails, and they haven´t helped me at all. The manager Frances Ramos has not been helpful, it has been a waste of time to talk to her. Apparently all of the staff is useless because nobody knows how to help their customers. Stayed at the Embassy Suites McAllen convention center for Labor day weekend. It is perfectly located between restaurants, retail stores and the convention center. All within perfect walking distance in the hot valley weather. It was awesome to just park the car at the hotel and take less than a 5 min walk for dinner or quick run to a store. The interior design of the hotel is very posh and modern (what not to expect when it??s a new hotel) and the service was great. Hotel staff was very accom... Read more

Very disappointed with the front desk as they don't know how to use discretion when talking to you. Frank the manager was very pleasant and I wish he would train his front desk staff to be more professional. We had a false fire alarm around the time of check out which they only gave me 30- additional minutes for late check out when I asked for it prior to alarm. Check in was a breeze, no hassle no fuss. Very friendly staff. Rooms are nice, not extravagant. Complimentary drinks every evening and free breakfast are what attracted us to this property. So many great amenities for the price. The downfall: Fire alarm at 5:40 AM and no explanation or reason given was not appreciated. We "may" stay again, depending on future reviews.

This hotel is new and has everything you would want! My issue was with billing. I prepaid for my room in advance and the only charge I should have received was a hold for incidentals. I got a $241 charge for another room for two nights that incurred at checkin. Hotel says they didn't charge it and for me to call Hilton (aren't you Hilton?). Hilton rep stated hotel authorized charge. 3 days later and still no answers!??

The hotel was nice and rooms were quite modern with better than adequate space. Stayed one night this past weekend. The hotel is nice, crisp, clean, and new. Enjoyed the room. However; most of the hotel staff were somewhat standoffish with an attitude and seemed as we were bothering them. The young gal who checked us in Saturday afternoon was very pleasant and so was the Sunday morning cook. The gal at the bar was not nice, kept asking me "Are you a guest of the hotel" asked twice to see my room key/card. Its the small things that ruined our stay at this hotel.

Very disappointed with two things: 1) I wasn't recognized as a diamond member or provide the free items when staying at your hotel until I called the front desk for them. 2) I have already called 3 times for a receipt of my stay and have yet to receive it. I keep being advised that they will send it but I have yet to received anything. I know you have the correct email as I travel often and always receive my receipts in a timely manner.

Overall it was a good stay. Location is great in regards to shops and restaurants. Hotel is new and modern with friendly staff. Noise control is a little weak from room to room. Breakfast was awsome as they had made to order eggs and no powder.

I have stayed at other Embassy Suites and have always loved their hotels. This location was the worst. The hotel is beautiful but the customer service is terrible. Walked right next to the manager when we got there and I said hello but he didn't even respond. Checked out sheets as soon as we were preparing to sleep. There is what looks like blood on the pull out sofa sheets and pillows. We called the front desk and they said sorry we will come up with new sheets. We waited more than 30 minutes an... Read more

This was my first experience in a one room suite. Excellent choice to stay for business or pleasure. The staff was extremely friendly and provided excellent service throughout my staff. I was especially pleased with Bruce from the restaurant. He greeted us with a friendly smile and warm welcome each day!

I was a customer of alpine and was told I could get the alpine rate, $139/night. I was told when I checked in, I had it. When I checked out, I was told it wasn't applied and that they would have to manually over write to get my discount....and that they would email me the receipt. I waited and waited. Nothing. I had to call only to find out from someone else that the rate couldn't be applied. Why would two employees tell me okay and then all of a sudden no? This experience was awful and I'm disa... I am so disappointed with this hotel. I stayed here for business and was charged almost $300 dollars for incidentals. I was told it would be returned between 3-5 days. I tried calling to follow up regarding status since that time has passed only to be told they have no record of those charges being made!! What??!!! Why is there a charge on my card then?? Apparently this isn't the first time this has happened as per a previous review. I was passed around from person to person when calling but noo... Read more

Poor customer service. Staff not able to handle and resolve complaints. Complimentary breakfast sub-standard to other Embassy Suites locations. Food is cold, not being replenished. Guests must seek out silverware, coffee cups, etc.

This hotel has only been open a few months and is super nice. Perhaps they have gotten out the kinks that prior reviewers mentioned. My stay was very smooth. Check-in and out was quick and easy. We had to make a change in the reservation and this was accomplished very quickly as well. The rooms are what makes this place fantastic. I loved the living room area for down time. It was nice to sit on a sofa to work and watch TV instead of the bed. Plus, there is a GIANT TV in the bedroom. To... Read more

The hotel looks amazing inside an out. Close to many shops and even had a place to charge the Tesla. Charging supported Tesla standard connector and also the standard 14-50P connector for when you have a unique connection. Staff and management are acomadating and very friendly.

This was my first visit to this hotel. Rooms are nice but small compared to other Embassy Suites hotels. The location is good near the convention center but there are improvements in food service that need to be made. I sat at the bar for dinner. The bartender was Moreno retested in talking to her friends than she was waiting on guests. Drinks were average and pricy for what you get. Food was near inedible. I ordered the "pulled chicken" club. It was served on dry bread with a grilled chicken br... Read more
