The staff is pleasant. Check-in is a breeze although they didn't acknowledge me as an IHG rewards member. Other hotels in this brand usually do. The hotel is clean. My room was clean but looked a little dated. The thermostat was about to come off the wall but it didn't affect the temperature of the room. I think the pillows and towels need to be replaced. The pillows were lumpy and the towels felt like you were drying off with sandpaper. Other than that this isn't a bad place to stay and this is... Read more

I found the front desk staff as well as the restaurant/bar staff to be very friendly and helpful. Had the opportunity to speak with Rashmi Patel regarding one front desk person whom I found to be rude to me and ignored others completely. He made excuses and said he would address the problem but in conversation with other guests who had the same experience, they said she is always that way and he's never done anything about it. They return because most everything is nice. Not sure if would r... Read more

Staff is very pleasant, but the overall experience was poor. Housekeeping completely skipped servicing room one day. The morning breakfast is $9, but is comparable to the freebee breakfast at lesser motels, which means congealed scrambled eggs, do-it-yourself toast, cereals, etc. No charge for Wifi, but it cuts out a lot, which can drive you crazy. For $200/night I expect to be satisfied, not frustrated.

I had a last second change of plans and needed to be in Waco. I grabbed a reservation at the holiday inn northwest and had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the facility is well maintained. I will gladly return and stay again. Not right in town but comfortably close to downtown but quiet and relaxing. Good choice for me!

The Hotel is very clean, the people very friendly and the bed was comfortable. One thing that needs attention is the exercise equipment in the Gym, it is actually hazardous. broken cables and loose screws on some machines. Nice, if smallish, indoor pool and spa, and faster WiFi than most Hotels that I stay at.

The per diem rate that was quoted when we made our reservation was raised at check-in. All six nights were supposed to have been at the same rate; however, the Friday night rate was raised. Only at our insistence was it reduced. After four days, we have not had maid service. The exception is that, yesterday, housekeeping did drop off some clean towels. We're nearly out of toilet paper. The hotel does not offer a courtesy breakfast. The restaurant, which is open only for breakfast and dinner, cha... Read more

Ray the Bartender is thoroughly entertaining with all of his stories! The hotel lobby is clean as well as the rooms. A little out of the way but well worth the trip and amusement. Also, it's a great value at the current prices.

We stayed for one night and it was great. The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and polite. The restaurant was very good and had reasonable prices. If we are every in that area again we will stay here. Keep up the good work.

I picked Holiday Inn because I'd tried other hotels and they were full (on a Tuesday night in Waco!). So was feeling a bit desperate. Was charged $240 for one night - the most expensive of all the hotels and motels I stayed in during a 3 week vacation in Texas - maybe because I was a walk-in. So was it worth it? No. It delivered a lovely clean room and bathroom with very nice, helpful staff - but considering I'd stayed in hotels for $48 a night, the difference in quality wasn't worth the m... Read more

Only stayed at this hotel one night, but it is very nice and clean. The staff was friendly. It does have a restaurant in the hotel. We did not eat on site so I cannot comment on the prices or the food. I really prefer Holiday Inn Express where you can get a free breakfast. If you do not want to eat there, there are plenty of places nearby to eat. Also, it is not too far to the Magnolia Market in downtown Waco.

This is a new Holiday Inn. So the Hotel and rooms are really nice. Has a restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner along with a nightly bar if you like $4.00 beer. Nice lobby area to gather with a Flat screen set. Sat down with friends one night and watched a baseball game as the night attendant let us change the channel,. but went down the 2nd night and the TV was set on weather. When I asked the lady night attendant (different person) if we could change the channel from weather, she said i... Read more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Northwest during my first trip to Texas in December 2015, and I must say that I was Extremely satisfied. I had a beautiful suite on a quiet floor. I was impressed with the room service and the quality of the food. I enjoyed every amentity, especially the large pool and the relaxing whirlpool. I loved the fact that it is indoors so you can swim all year round ! But, I was MOST impressed with the staff. I want to give a SPECIAL shout out to Chelsea and ... Read more

Very nice Holiday Inn. Great off the highway location. The air conditioning worked well, but it was very humid in the room and made for a musty smell. The staff was super! Made sure to accommodate my preferences and it was very clean! Appreciated the great coffee in the lobby!

Makayla (front desk) and Thomas (manager) were extremely understanding and helpful when there was a mistake (on my part) on my reservation. They made my day by helping me out! Great compassionate people make a great business. Next time I am in Waco, I can guarantee you I will be back here! Thanks again Makayla and Thomas!!! Shane - San Antonio

This hotel is very nice. It is a new hotel with spacious rooms and a very attentive front desk staff. Megan helped our party of five women print our boarding passes for our flight home. We were very surprised at the quality of food that we enjoyed for dinner. We also took advantage of the complimentary coffee and freshly baked cookies in the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel's location is a short drive to Magnolia Market. The hotel was very clean. I called another hotel direct and was forwarded to an IHG number. I was interested in a two room suite with two bathrooms. The origional hotel was full, but was reassured that a similar property had the same suite available. When we arrived, the suite did not have two bathrooms. The living area was not like the original hotel. The air conditioner did not work well. The original hotel had a free continent... Read more

New hotel, always nice. Very friendly, helpful front desk. Room is typical Holiday Inn, which is to say comfortable and clean. No complaints. Only downside is the lack of USB charging ports . . . in a new hotel?! Really?! Questionable miss that definitely should be fixed, everything needs charging these days. Still, if your visiting Baylor, can't get in the Indigo, it is a very good alternative.

Location a bit off the pulse of the college town and downtown. But these scenes are a short drive away (5-10 mins). Hotel was far enough from I-35 that there was no road noise. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. I would stay here again.

We a large group come in for the weekend. The staff was very friendly and we were able to get through the check in process fairly quickly. The rooms were up to date and very clean. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, but my husband thought the mattresses were too short. I heard others say the same. We went to the restaurant for breakfast. The staff was friendly, but in my opinion they are not equipped to handle large groups. It was complete chaos Sat and Sun morning. Overall the hotel was... Read more

Hotel was great! Breakfast at hotel restaurant was a terrible. First, the milk was sour and the carton showed the date to be expired. Next, the server never refilled the coffee. The meal took way to long and was brought out cold. Upon checking out we told them about the problem, they promised to add bonus points (which never happened).
