It´s not easy for a hotel to exeed your expectations, but simple details make the difference. At Omni Mandalay Las Colinas details are part of everybodys daily work. We first stayed at the Omni Mandalay on our wedding night 20 years ago and returned to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was great. They even called to verify when we would return from our meal so they could have the room prepped with rose petals and champaign and chocolate covered strawberries. Our package included the breakfast buffet, which was very good. Unfortunately, it is time for an update to the hotel. The fixtures are outdated and showing the age. The bathroom and shower in t... Good location for DFW airport only 20 minutes away. Quiet rooms and good restaurant and bar. Staff very welcoming after long day traveling and very comfortable bed. Only downside is that this is in a mainly commercial area so only a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of eating and shopping options if you have a car or use the hotel transportation. Will stay here again.

We love the Omni brand to start with, and this property was no exception. The hotel was perfect for our 25th anniversary trip; we knew we wanted to dine at Perry's in Frisco, go to TopGolf in The Colony, horse racing at Lone Star Park and catch a Rangers game... this hotel was literally 15-25 minutes from each of these far-flung locations. Our king room was spacious (much more so than the rooms at the Fort Worth Omni location), comfortable and clean and the water pressure in the shower was won... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament, and were very impressed with everything. The room was spacious, the staff were always friendly and willing to assist. The complimentary shuttle to the golf was a real surprise. And the restaurant downstairs was fabulous - with a wonderfully varied menu. All in all, this is a hotel I would highly recommend.

I stayed at Omni in Dallas for one night only. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I asked for 2 bottles of water at the front desk and they were more than happy to accommodate. They also had fresh apples available throughout the day for anyone to take. The little things count with me specially when it comes to free food/treats. I had a amazing view on the 26th floor. Just one thing the bathroom floor is extremely slippery so be careful to not slip when its wet.

The bell hop and front desk service was great. The guys working the shuttle service were attentive and quick. They didn't wait for you to approach them, they made eye contact and began asking questions to identify my needs. When I arrived it took entirely too long to check in. Here's why.. 1. I was told my type of room was not available. I booked this 2 weeks ago. 2. I was told I could have free breakfast and a smaller room. 3. All of a sudden a king suite appeared. All in all, it seemed as if they didn't want to honor the hotels.com price for the king suite. Had the pleasure of staying for four nights for a wedding event that was being held at the Mandalay. It was a most enjoyable stay. From the time we arrived with valet service to our departure, we found the staff to be friendly. The wedding event was fabulous and heads up to the staff for doing such a wonderful job. The food was exceptional and hot which surprised me considering all the guests the Mandalay was serving at one time. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the breakfast ... Read more

This hotel is definitely in a little need for some updates, but overall very clean with large rooms and a lot of local flair. This hotel is located within a newly created man made river district which is well on its way to completion and will offer even more restaurants and activities beyond why already exists very soon. I was here for business and the hotel offered all of the amenities that we required or needed.

Stayed here in May 2016 on a solo trip, and liked it so much I came back in August and brought my wife. We had an excellent time. Big, quiet suite with a balcony overlooking the lake and Dallas skyline. Breakfast buffet was one of the best ever....I think they had 8 different kinds of honey from which to choose. In Las Colinas it is kind of "away" from everything, but not so far that you cannot drive to museums, malls and other attractions in the Dallas area.

Fantastic property for staycations, we celebrated our anniversary there and it was simply put...FANTASTIC! Cudos to the Omni staff as they were all you could ask for! We will definitely repeat this stay in the future.

I would recommend the hotel for the excellent accommodations. I would not recommend the on-site restaurant, Trevi's. I had two unpleasant experiences with two different meals (live fly in my water glass, molded raspberries) and at no time did the wait staff show any concern or offer any compensation.

If you are looking for a friendly welcoming atmosphere from the time you check in until the time you leave, this is the hotel to stay at. The prices are reasonable and the staff and rooms are wonderful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and will help you in any way they can. Hotel itself is beautiful and very comfortable. The rooms are clean and make you feel at home. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

We reserved a suite (room 902), and while the carpeting and decor seem to be somewhat updated, the bathroom was deplorable. The tile in the shower was so old, and the grout was mildewed and rusted. The tub was as old if not older than the shower. Also, no modern features in the room such as USB or docking station. The bar served great drinks, but the floor in the bar looked like someone had marked all over it with a Sharpie. The carpeting the lobby area was worn as well. I informed the fro... Read more

Had excellent stay a year ago for the first time. Returned this year to much disappointment. Food still excellent. Room still clean. Yet service level at 11pm check-in was worse than any hotel of this caliber around the world. Staff needed more training to understand what Discovery Black Status means. Requested quiet room and got assigned room next to elevator with no upgrade. Four Seasons or Ritz or even Hyatt Regency better bets next time for any travelers expecting rudimentary understanding o... Read more

I was not overly amused with this hotel. I think that its a nice hotel but could use simple things like amentity lists that would help guests figure out what all this hotel offers. We got lost several times and drinks were never delivered to our room as promised when we put the card on the doorknob. We slept well though. And I thought the front desk staff were super nice!

Overall this was a good hotel and a good stay. Staff was friendly, service was generally quick and efficient. The only negative, and it's not too bad, is that some of the furnishings, and the hotel itself are beginning to show their age. Nothing that doesn't work, or that you'd say was in BAD shape, just not as up to date as some properties.

Wonderful wedding venue. Beautiful views in this Dallas area mimicking Naples Florida. Easy parking. Beautiful orchids and lemonade upon arrival. Staff friendly rooms clean and reasonable rates. Great value.

We were there on business and the client put us here. Large hotel, in 80's bland architectural style, nice setting on the river and there's a decent gym and pool also right on the river. Our room was fine, not super clean (the way I like) but respectable enough although the makeup mirror was half ripped out of the wall and I'm not sure how that goes unnoticed. The service is good; bell staff, valet, front desk and concierge were cordial and helpful. We had an enormous window with a view over the... Read more

Although the hotel is older, it is very clean. The staff is amazing. We ate at Trevis, for the price and quality, I was impressed. The pool area was very relaxing, with a pool bar and grill. It was heated so it felt good once you got in. The M Bar was a fun place to hang out and play pool and have a cold beer. Bar staff was funny. I will definitely return.

My family an I stayed at the Omni Mandalay in Irving, Texas for a weeks vacation. It was a pleasure, the cleanliness & comfort of the rooms was amazing, all the food and food services was excellent. The pool area was delightful. The Omni Mandalay will be my first choice when we come back to Texas.

Staff and service are outstanding. One thing most people aren't aware of his Omni policy regarding customer service. If you want something during your stay, simply just ask. They will make an effort to accommodate the request. I really liked to stay on the top floor suites and when I asked to have that happened, I stayed in one ever since. So just ask and maybe you will be fortunate to get it.

Lovely hotel facing the canal. Unfortunately noisy construction during the day was frustrating at times. Beds comfortable, clean rooms, quiet at night. Found customer service here really lacking. Such a marked difference from our previous week stay in San Antonio Omni where they were super friendly and accommodating. Welcome call on voice mail. Welcome tray brought up first day, always a hello when you walked by the front desk - I was impressed! Not the same with Los Colinas location... Fr... Read more

I have stayed here there times in the past 8 months and enjoy staying there, but their price is among the highest in the area. While the rooms are nice, I have had bad luck with the food, whether at the restaurant or room service. While the hotel is in need of updating, it is well maintained.

1. wifi availability and use could have been explained during check-in. 2. the use of hotel vehicle could have been mentioned during 3. generally there is an assumption by hotel check in staff that you know everything.
