One can see this hotel was the cats meow in the hay days, though long neglected, you can tell the present owners/management have put a lot into it, { I stayed about 2yrs ago }. Beds are comfortable, large rooms, onsite restaurant and bar, general clam and relaxing feel to the property. If your looking for a vacation getaway, this is not it, however if you need to be close to the airport, and I mean close, looking for a great place to stay at a great price, with an awesome staff, well then you wa... The hotel is close to the Houston (IAH) airport. My biggest complaint is the shuttle bus. I hauled my kids out of bed at 0550 to get in line for the 0630 shuttle bus and the guy showed up at 0632 and didn't leave the parking lot until 0647. We didn't miss our flight, but it was stressful thinking your shuttle was supposed to leave at 0630 and it's late. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It has a decent size pool, but there is zero shade. They need an umbrella or two. Other than that,... Read more

Yes, checked into the Ramada...first sign said "Under remodeling"....walked into a long line...4-5 families...only one person checking people in and answering phones....worse than the wait at the TSA! we were given our room and the mold smell was unbelievable in the hallway outside the room. Once inside, the room seemed nice but after a long week in hot Belize with little running water, I looked forward to a great shower....The Shower did NOT work. I went to Ramada 5/27/2016 to view the banquet room to inquire about booking an event. I inquired about catering while viewing the room. Besides the leak in the room from the recent rains, I was still interested in booking the room for the event considering it will be more than a month away. I was advised that the chef will get with the event Coordinator and she will email me the menu. Pretty basic stay. For the price it's definitely not the best place near IAH. The hotel lobby is nice.....but the rooms are quite dated. Old furnishings, carpet, mattresses...you get the picture. Signs were up everywhere saying they're remodeling: hopefully that's true! It does have free wifi and a free shuttle. Parking for longer than your stay is NOT free. (If you use the shuttle.)

Arrived late, pickup was prompt (the van happened to be there, so just lucky), return to airport was no reservations, just show up 15 - 20 minutes before departures (which were every 1/2 hour). Fairly generous pickup/return options, think it was roughly 0500 - 2400. Good breakfast - eggs, make your own waffles. In room coffee was fine. We booked, sight unseen, because we had to overnight in Houston and the Ramada is affordable and close by. No regrets! Our service from when we walked in to the minute we left was great. Great staff, very helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Beds were great!! A big deal for me but it was great. Good wifi! A fridge in our room to keep our drinks cold. That being said.... the bar and restaurant don't open until 5:00 PM. We really wanted a drink after a long flight but no, n... Read more

My wife did not like the idea that we were staying at a Ramada because of bad experiences in the past, but this stay was very pleasurable. The staff was pleasant, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The overall atmosphere was great.

Let's start with the good. They have a bar, restaurant, pool, business center, free parking, hot and cold breakfast (doesn't start until 6am), and free airport shuttle. The room guide says shuttle runs from 5am- 11pm but the phone lines say from 4am-1am. I dropped off our rental car early and used the shuttle in the morning, which was nice, all I had to do for shuttle pick up with call the and ask to be picked up. It took about 20 mins and I was already at the door so timing it when you dep... Read more

I chose a room that was renovated and I thought that would be a good try again as the hotel was run down a bit the last time I came. I chose the best room available and paid the highest night price on the list. The room was renovated but it was shame they only did half a job on it. The Bathroom and Jacuzzi were carelessly done and the facets were lose. Hot water was difficult to adjust and I ended up using the shower only as the Jacuzzi's plug would not fully close. You can see that an ef... Read more

Five of us were in-transit through Houston, Texas and had a ten hour overnight layover. Rather than sit all night in the airport, we booked rooms at the Ramada Houston Intercontinental Airport East, Humble, Texas. The Ramada has a free shuttle bus which you can contact from the courtesy phones in the baggage claim area. As usual, the Ramada was slow assigning the rooms. We have stayed here before. The room we had was on the back side of the hotel looking into a courtyard. The room was clean a... Read more

Nice looking pool and lobby. Didn't get to try the pool. My room smelled weird and carpets are stained. Wouldn't take my socks off. Everything else seemed okay for a cheaper hotel at the airport but wouldn't start again.

My room was clean and very comfortable - The check in was quick and efficient and the front desk kindly stored my medical ice pack in their freezer overnight. I got a very good nights rest after watching the last Presidential Debate in my room. I wanted a light meal after traveling all day and had their french onion soup at 9pm. Definitely not a good choice. Given that this was Texas it would probably have been better to order some barbecue sandwich and eat half. The complementary breakfast wa... Read more

Room had horrible mold, musty smell. Tried to be moved to 3 other rooms and they were worse than the first. Had to keep the room door open while there. The building structure has sunk so while in the shower you had to balance yourself. There were loose tiles to and from the room, almost fell a couple of times because of it. The buildings themselves are old, material falling off.... it served the purpose of needing a place to stay, but it definitely is not a place I would want to relax in th... Read more

Our group had three rooms, all of which were moderately clean with comfy pillows. All bathrooms were mouldy/mildewed with rust stain marks - no doubt due to lack of exhaust fans. The kids enjoyed the pool. The guest folder in the the room was not accurate about hotel services - no lunch, wifi has an access code- small things that show lack of upkeep. Our dinner at the inhouse restaurant was a disaster with the waitress rolling her eyes at us! Although we had reservations on the shuttle the next ... Read more

Great location, close to the airport . Shuttle pickup was quick and seems that arriving a little early was not a problem (I imagine, as long as room is ready and available), you were checked in no questions. Room was clean and corridors fresh smelling, even with the ongoing renovations. Maybe a charging station for cell phone be "thrown" in the update and availability of hot meal in between regular restaurant hours, although fast food within short walking distance. Most important, price was good... Read more

They say remodeled but they mean they smeared paint on some places. I'm not too picky about hotels but this one wasn't nice. I'm sure it was really nice when it was new but it's pretty run down and my room smelled bad. One upside was good food in the restaurant. I won't stay there again.

Room, bed, and public areas were clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Airport shuttle arrived faster than the desk clerk had promised. Shuttle driver in both directions was friendly, helpful and upbeat. Trip from airport to hotel was quick and effortless. Included breakfast was very good, with eggs/sausage, cereals, choice of juices and coffee. There was coffee kit in the room. The hotel has a bar for a wine/beer nightcap. All the comforts of home. Bed was comfortable. Would (will) st... Read more

The Latina girl on check out should not have that job. Not professional. DOESN'T SMILE AT ALL!!!! If she doesn't like her job. She should leave. The woman who helped us during check in was amazing! (African-American lady)

The service was very very disappointing, because I had booked two rooms for 2 nights, and both days my room was not cleaned. When I got back to the hotel room at 7pm, my beds were not made, my towels were not changed, my trash was not emptied, etc. When I told the main desk about this, they just told me "we cannot do anything about it" and then, my heater in one of my rooms was letting out a weird smell, that they did not do anything about that either. I will be sure post the pictures on faceboo... Read more

I stayed here overnight for a business trip. I will say the shuttle was fast to arrive however i was first on bus he took my bag and put way in the back. By the time i got my bag a whole line to check in was in front of me. Also at 11:30pm when im exhausted and just want to get to my room they have one person checking in a group of 20 people. It took forever to check in. The room was ok as far as aesthetic however the tv didnt work something with cable and i was too exhausted to call them. Also ... Read more

Just a few minutes from the airport, and the rental car facility. They have shuttle to and from the airport. Besides the hotel restaurant, there is only one gas station within a walking distance, so food can be an issue. They have complimentary continental breakfast from 6 - 9 am. Food is descent, enough to get you through the morning. Plenty options near by to order from, but not within walking distance. The hotel has a nice pool, big garden areas. Rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. Hotel ... Read more
