Stayed here for a 2 day conference and thought it VERY NICE. Great King comfy bed with lots of pillows. Flat Screen. Couch, table and chairs in room. Frig, nice little coffee maker. Good shower with lots of great toiletries. Only negative was NO FREE BREAKFAST but I think you can pay extra for the upper floors that have all day food available. I did not have it. Had a blast overall. Recommended.

I attended a weekend conference in the hotel so I chose not to rent a car and I did expect to eat in the hotel. However, as a vegetarian, I was concerned that the vegetarian options would be non-existent. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did the bar/restaurant offer several interesting vegetarian options, but they were skillfully prepared, nicely presented and in fairly substantial portions. The Mediterranean salad was huge with lots of feta and olives and other veggies. The egg white & ... Read more

I had a long stay due to work commitments. The rate of the hotel is not cheap so I expected a decent service. I often had housekeeping issues like the trash not being taken from all the trash cans, the carpet not vacuumed, bathroom not cleaned properly etc. They never had anyone available to help with the suitcases, only the one driver that took people to the airport so If you managed to catch him between trips then he was able to help. I like this hotel. It is close to my office. The front desk personnel, (in particular an older gentleman that works the afternoon shift) treated me like gold. Due to the crazy weather that Houston has been experiencing, my flight got stranded in San Antonio. We waited for 5 hours!! Inside the plane. I was exhausted. Checking in was truly wonderful. What a sweet and considered guy. So kind and informative. He even greeted me by my name for the next days of my stay. As per the suite, I will say t... Read more

I stayed at the Sheraton north Houston at George Bush intercontinental on 6/1 after a flight got cancelled. It was a truly great experience. Kingsley the front desk agent was very polite and inviting when I arrived and I couldn't have asked for better service after a frustrating experience at the airport. Had a night stay as in transit over IAH. Did not get the expected Gold Member upgrade but we did check in at 1.00am and the staff seemed as sleepy as us. Rooms and beds of the typical Sheraton standard, no surprises and that is why we typically stay at their hotels.

Stayed here for 3 nights on business. The first night was fine but it went downhill from there. On Day 2 I got back to my room to find the sink had dried hair clippings in it. Strange I thought because I use an electric razor so I called the front desk and they sent housekeeping to clean it up. The next night though things went downhill. To be honest, I understand hundreds of flights were cancelled at IAH the day/night I was there. The volume of issues, requests, etc was likely a flood for this hotel. However, YOU ARE AN AIRPORT HOTEL AT IAH - YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT. The fact that they were understaffed or overloaded is there issue. I called for a shuttle to pick me up - "It will be there in 15 minutes", I call 45 minutes later and am told "I'm sorry - 5 more minuted". The shuttle showed up 15 minutes later with a v... Read more

Even though it's pretty close to the airport, once you get inside the A/C beats the Texas heat, there is a huge lounging area divided so that different parties can be having their own private conversations, watching their TV show without interrupting other guests. The complimentary shuttle service tops of the hassle free experience & some very comfortable beds put your lights out fast for a deep sleep.

Our room might not be totally up to date, but the sleep quality was excellent, and the room was big enough for two adults and two kids. This is a nice hotel, but the people working there are very unfriendly and rude. We were on the ninth floor and the air conditioner never cooled the room down. We had asked for two queen beds as I was traveling with my son. They gave us a room with one King. When I called down to get a room with two queen beds they advised the room I had also had a couch that made into a bed. I would have to keep that room. Very uncomfortable. We will not waste our money staying at this Sheraton again.

Shuttle service was expedient and bus very clean. I was bumped up to club floor with spg status. The hotel has been nicely updated through the ages. Touches like a little Starbucks machine in room and music speaker port. Full Starbucks vending in club lounge. The sports bar -over priced (17 bucks for a double vodka?), lots of uncleared tables and mediocre food. Cajun place across the street for the win. Overall a great night stay for an excellent price.

Hotel was convenient, only 10 minutes to IAH. No bell staff when we arrived and the luggage trolley we used had a flat tire. Staff was cordial and helpful. Allowed us to store 2 large suitcases while we took a short trip to Trinidad Tobago. Free parking.
