My wife and I travel a lot. We have yet found anything better than The Omni Hotel Galleria Houston. The service is very pleasant.we have had several events there. My main issue with this hotel is that it is somehow called a 4-star hotel because it carries the Omni name. I have been to two other Omni hotels in Texas to include the Riverway one. I chose to stay here on my second trip to Houston to get a feel for the other Omni in town. I am highly disappointed. This hotel is on the level of Springhill Suites(if that), not Marriott. The only way it is remote. The service was not Omni like at all, I asked for a plate that never came, one night, they forgot to... Read more

Hotel was clean with large rooms. Bell hop staff poor, food and drinks are average and expensive, and you have to pay for internet service. No vending machine or access to food and drinks after hours. If you want a bottle of water you have to drink tap water or buy it form the extremely over priced mini bar in your room.

The event space is very well lit, extremely central, and staffed by a great group of people. The lobby is gorgeous. I also heard that the night club was just remodeled and is supposed to be great. Outside of those highlights, the property is quite lackluster. The rooms are fine. A nice size and clean, but nothing special. The wifi does NOT work. Last time I visited it was during a period of intense flooding so they blamed the inept wifi on the floods. Well the weather was perfect this time and... Read more

I normally rate this hotel very highly but felt things in general had slipped a little regarding their standards. I will however use it again hopefully next experience will be better! I may have been unlucky but my first 2 nights I had issues with noise from a party and weddings., however I asked to be moved for my 3rd night and that room ended up being quiet. I did find the checkin desk to be extremely slow just like the high speed internet!

Houston is a big place. Tons of places to stay. What you want to be by and what level of hotel you enjoy dictate a lot. The Omni was a pleasant overall experience. It's nestled behind commercial buildings and feels like it stands alone. It's close to shopping and the shuttle is a huge bonus. Very good value. The workout room needs an overhaul but the pool is nice and the staff is very friendly. The self-parking is also a nice bonus.

Excellent hotel but check your bill before you leave. After checking out and leaving the hotel, I discovered that the hotel placed a hold of over $600.00 on my credit card for a stay that only cost $134.55.

I can't say enough good things about our stay here. The people at the front desk were always very helpful, our room was beautiful and had a great view of the pool. We used the exercise facility and the pool and were pleased with both. We went to The Black Swan on Friday night and such a great time. It's nice to be able to go listen to great music and have fun and only have an elevator ride back to your room! We slept great and had the breakfast buffet the next morning. It was wonderful and... It was such a great experience! We always love Omni Hotels, but Omni Houston is one of the best! We reserved 2 rooms and when we arrived, we got upgraded to a parlor suite, which is excellent for the kids. Thank you! Also the kids really enjoy the pool, the temperature is perfect and not crowded at all. Only 1 complaint - some guest smoke around the pool area with is very discomfort. Other than that, we really enjoy our stay!

This was a business trip, so I didn't get to use the amenities of the hotel. The room was large, clean, and well appointed. It had a nice seating area. The bathroom was a bit dated. It had the old-fashioned tub/shower combination. The hotel sits on a large property, so be be prepared to walk a little when you head to and from the parking garage. Valet parking is available, but I don't know what it costs. We went to the restaurant but the service was slow and the prices high, so we opted not to e... Read more

Enjoyed our weekend in this fabulous hotel near everything! Our 1st choice hotel every time we are in Houston. Their rooms are very well lit, spacious and always clean. They have the best pools that are enjoyable for kids and adults all the same! Love how they make it very convenient to check in and out online. They have a great bar and spa, and don't forget to take advantage of their Select Guest rewards for your free morning beverage and free Wi-Fi!!!

My stay at the hotel was great. We stayed there for 2 days due to going to a wedding off site, and saw this place on groupon and we said we have to have this. When we first got there the check in was very quick and nice. Aman helped me out and he was great. My view was ok, i rather have had the view of the pool, but seeing the skyline of houston was ok. We found the hotel to be very classy in every way. The staff was very friendly. The only complaint I have is that it was very hard to get to a restroom from the pool area. You either had to go upstairs or if you were handicapped, had to go up a ramp. Either way, it was very far to get to. Otherwise, a wonderful stay.

What a shame. I am a regular visitor to Houston and I would stay at this hotel regularly if they could improve a couple of features of the hotel. The first item they need to fix is the wi fi coverage. I stayed here earlier this year and had to change rooms due to the poor wi fi connection. After staying at the nearby JW Marriott for my interim visits, I thought I might give the Omni another try as I like the hotel and the rooms are good. Unfortunately, however, the wi fi connection is still lous... Read more

This hotel is really dated, and VERY expensive, for what you get. We used the elevator to get to the lobby, along with other people, pushed the button and as far as it would go was 5. All of us had to walk down stairs from 5 to the lobby. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. Never felt like I got the soap off of me.
