As a current Rice University undergrad, this hotel has become a second home to me. The location is perfect and the staff is always friendly. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a long or short stay in town.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to be near M D Anderson Hospital in August 2014. We lived in Houston for over 60 years, but recently retired and moved to a city 4 hours drive away. This was our first stay at the Lexington. First impression when arriving in the driveway was not all that positive, BUT I'm happy I gave it a chance. The location is not the most desirable if you are wanting to get out and walk around the area. The room was on the ground floor, 2 queen beds, a kitchenette ... Read more

Upon entering our 2-queen room, my husband and I were impressed by the size and number of amenities. However, when he went into the bathroom as I went to search for the ice machine, we met up again having come to the same conclusion: it felt like the setting of an Alfred Hitchcock film. Eerily quiet throughout, the decor was tacky and the walls posted with dire warnings about keeping your kids in line, remaining quiet, and being charged $15 for lost room key. Not a reassuring atmosphere for some... Read more

I don't know what the good reviews are all about. This place is like a scene from the Shining. The place is totally creepy. No one works there. No one is at the front desk, no one can be found at all. Not even to clean rooms or answer a phone call. There was only one other car in the parking lot all night. We found a 'driver' of the hotel limo who let us into our rooms using 'the house key', but we couldn't get our room keys. Each room has windows that opens up to a hallway - and signs in the h... I will start by saying the Lexington was clean and spacious. Other than those two things, it goes strictly downhill! First and foremost it was advertised that this hotel had a shuttle to medical center facilities and nearby stores, etc. - NOT - there was no shuttle at all. Thank heaven for Uber or we would have had great difficulty getting back and forth to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Other reviewers have talked about the abundance of reminder signs, the lack of hours of front desk operation - al... Read more
