This hotel has cool things like a lap pool and you can text the front desk. But their customer service is like any other place in the fact that they get defensive and fail to resolve issues effectively. The pool closed early but instead of being helped we were waved away by a man wagging his finger. The pool was supposed to be open for another 30 minutes.

Stayed overnight for a baseball game with son and grandsons. Great stay, rooms were clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to ball park. Pool was crowded in the evening but had room to get wet. Breakfast was great, plenty of options, omelet station busy but worth it. Never had an issue - employees very helpful. Did have leftover salad in the refrigerator from previous guest but the room seemed clean.

Lots of walking but lovely accommodations. If you are attending a large convention, opt for the concierge level which comes with breakfast and hors d'oeurves (cash bar) plus bottled water in your room. Great views too! Handy to several nice restaurants plus they've expanded the Starbucks on the first floor. Just be prepared for big city prices!

Excellent hotel if you're looking for something near Minute Maid park or the convention center. Staff is extremely friendly, beds are very comfortable and the attention to detail (cleanliness) is exactly what you'd expect for a Hilton property. The breakfast buffet is creative and fresh. The center bar has great views of the lobby for people watching. The hotel gym is on the 23rd floor with great views of the city. Overall, a great place to stay if you're in Houston

Hotel is very nice but clearly needs updates. Also, you pay a lot of money just for a room, everything else is extra. Would have liked to at least have breakfast included in this expensive price. Water in bathtub didn't drain correctly, air didn't get cold enough, lights were out, and tiny alarm clock was so small it never woke me up.

Stayed with family for the Comicpalooza convention. This hotel has great rooms and a wonderful staff. The only problem was with a rude shuttle driver who got inpatient with my elderly mom and told another family to go in ahead of us. I did not want to make a scene so I got a cab to the Astros game instead. The great staff in the hotel and the wonderful room made up for this one rude person. I would visit this hotel again next year for the convention.

This is wonderful property with large common rooms, large and quite elegant exhibit space and large, not elegant but nicely-appointed individual rooms. The hotel staff is totally on top of things and the food in the restaurant is OK-plus (not the best food ever, but for hotel fare, pretty good.) Great hotel - everything worked, very clean, free internet, excellent staff, convenient location. The restaurants were my only disappointment - they are only OK and expensive. The only complaint is that my room was suppose to be ready at 3pm but was not ready until 4 and I was never offered anything for the inconvenience although I am a Hilton Blue member. Despite that part of the stay, I would recommend the hotel.

If you stay at a high-end Hilton property, you are going to be guaranteed a clean, comfortable, and well-managed hotel. This one is no different. Rooms large and with the necessary amenities, some with a nice view of the downtown green area. The property itself is huge and always busy, but that doesn't interfere with a nice stay. Same precisely goes for the executive lounge - large, busy, but pleasant.

Was in Houston for a weekend business meeting. Hotel was over-run by teen agers attending a convention. The teens were all very nice, well groomed, and courteous, but they took over the hotel, and the hotel was simply not equipped to deal with them. Skip the breakfast buffet in the restaurant. Food was attractive, but cold as ice. Saw my waiter only long enough to drop off my check. She didn't serve the coffee, water, etc that was HER responsibility. The hotel and room were great. I stayed here for a convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center (which is connected). The food was fantastic, bar in the main lobby was great, and starbucks inside had everything you needed in the morning. It is conveniently located in Houston where you can walk to (or short uber ride) great restaurants. It is also very close to the Astro's stadium, which makes it easy to catch a ball game.

We had vouchers for breakfast each day in the 1600 Restaurant. Mostly the service was excellent, and the om... Read more

Love this hotel time and time again. I love how it connects to GBconvention center. Big and clean with a luxury feel. Beautifully updated and pretty to stay at. Restaurants inside are good with variety of food. Service and attention to detail is lovely. I have stayed here four years in a row.

A very nice downtown business class hotel. Rooms are exactly what you would expect, spacious and clean. Check in process was quick and professional. On site restaurants are good, and there are others within walking distance if you don't mind a little walking. Skybridge over to the conference center makes it super convenient.

Carlos Garcia from valet was really professional and very helpful! It was my first time at Hilton and overall the experience was great. I would recommend to others and looking forward to my next visit soon

This hotel handled the number of guests extremely well in spite of very large numbers of convention attendees. Not a sour face on the staff-very helpful and happy to help. I'll be back. Service was able to handle very large crowds.

Location is perfect, staff terrific and room was nice but with some exceptions. Carpet in room and hall had lots of stains (10th floor). Refrigeration not cool enough to safely put anything in it and no gauge to adjust temp, and toilet was stopped up when we arrived. Maintenance came twice during our 4 day stay. They were prompt. Overall on multiple stays this hotel has been very good. Could use more restaurants. I will stay there again.

Recently stayed here for a conference. The location is great. Very convenient to the convention center but also central to Minute Maid Park and the Toyota Center. Rooms were spacious and clean and the staff was helpful. The hotel is located in downtown so there were plenty of good restaurants, mall shopping, and services within walking distance. I'd be happy to return.

From the greeting at the curb through checkout - first class. Well designed structure with fun appointments and professional staff. The view of Houston was breathtaking from or room on the 19th floor. Rooftop pool and hot tub... beautiful. Rooftop terrace was well furnished, open on 4 sides, and thoroughly relaxing. The room was large, with a functional desk and real ergonomic office chair. The TV was large with a SIMPLE remote and extraordinarily clear picture. The cuisinart coffee maker made ... Read more

I recently stayed at this hotel, and needed to share my experience. Since I expect a clean, comfortable room-I will say this Hilton did not let me down in any way in this regard. Where I was genuinely blown away was with the customer service I received from Stephen upon check-in. There was a situation with the group of rooms I booked, and without being prompted in any way-Stephen handled the situation beautifully. I have never been so impressed before with an individual's ability to offer compen... Read more

I'm a big fan of chain hotels as you basically know what you're getting and when you're on business, the lack of surprise is welcome. The problem with this hotel is the taste level and the conventions it attracts. If you like brown, you're in luck. It's perfectly nice but soul-suckingly bland in a color meant to hide the dirt but the wear from high use still shows. It's uninteresting safe glamor at a really boring level. Convenient, well set up, sure. Bland? You bet. Also, because you're in the ... Read more

Nice hotel. Remarkable quiet rooms for the size of the place. I would recommend this hotel...but... Problems: 1) dining services - ordered room service twice. The first time, they brought the wrong entree. The second time they forgot to bring the side dish (charged for it though). The delivery staff were apologetic and fixed issues quickly...but still. The food was excellent which made me forget the inconveniences. Went to the main restaurant (1600 in the lobby). The wait staff was absolutely ... Read more

Overnight staycation.. the location is great, close to restaurants and the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to anywhere downtown. This hotel is so big that it lacks personal touch & room cleanliness left much to be desired. For the price I would find somewhere else to stay next time.

I'm a big fan of chain hotels as you basically know what you're getting and when you're on business, the lack of surprise is welcome. The problem with this hotel is that it's not as clean as it should be and it's a little worn. And while the decoration is nice, if you like brown, you're in luck. The color was meant to hide the dirt but the wear from high traffic still shows. My room was generally clean but the housekeeping was always rushed and something was always left amiss making me wonder if... Read more

This hotel has about everything you need. Comfortable room with a great desk area, coffee and tea, a refrigerator (no microwave) over looking the park. It's a large hotel but it was never overrun or too busy with people. The restaurants in the lobby are convenient and all of my meals were excellent. I often am on the road and stay in a wide variety of hotels. There is usually something to add as a critique but not this hotel. It did everything right.

Not really worth the high price. The lobby is nice, but the rest of the experience was just okay. Noisy, terrible parking garage, and bad internet connections. The location is convenient, but if there is a game, it is terrible. The staff is really friendly.

This hotel is crazy busy with conference business and sports teams, so be prepared for a loud and crowded lobby. However, the staff are prepared for all this and, for the most part, handle the hustle well. The beds and pillows are very comfortable.

Great location for downtown destinations. I had tickets for the Toyota Center which is right next door and was easy to walk to. Quick and easy access to I-45 and 59 without having to endure the nightmare of downtown's traffic lights. It would be nice if the parking was cheaper for hotel customers but you'd be hard pressed to find any downtown hotels with parking less than $20 per day. Wifi is complimentary for Hilton Honors members. The rooms were great and the hotel staff were very friendly and... Read more

Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were spacious and our room had a great view of downtown. We had breakfast at the restaurant in the morning, while the food was delicious I thought it slightly pricey and the service was slow. There was. Starbucks in the lobby which I appreciated. What is there NOT to like about this hotel? It should be a flagship for other Hiltons to model. The building is beautiful, the lobby and dining area is not only inviting but provides an air of sophistication. You can have a relaxing drink in the bar area, a quiet dinner with a significant other or a cup of joe at the Starbuck's. The rooms are clean and provide a relaxing atmosphere whether you're a traveler or just want to get alone for some "me time." You can't go wrong with choosing this loc... Read more

Stayed here for the barbara Streisand concert, paid with points and cash. Parking is $24.00 for self-park or $34.00 valet. Make sure it's charged to the room if that is what you want, I did not find out until check out and had to have it added. They want you to just drop off keys at check out, thus keeping you from scrutinizing the bill. There is a "sports arena " fee but not worth arguing over. My husband and I stay at this hotel every Thanksgiving weekend. We attend the big yearly car show they have at the convention center. The hotel is connected to the convention center and also the parking garage which makes it real nice if the weather is bad. The rooms are awesome. Very clean and has everything you would need. Service is great . Also a nice pretty and comforty lobby. Starbucks is located in the front lobby. :) Feels like home away from home here.
