The hotel has recently been remodeled. The rooms were nicely appointed. Fitness center was ok. Equipment could be a bit nicer. Hotel staff was very courteous. Location was excellent! I was able to walk to most business appointments during the week. Guests also have many good dining options within walking distance.

A highly recommendable hotel in downtown Houston. Staff and valets were very nice and welcoming, and Jeffrey at the front desk was the perfect example of Southern hospitality. Breakfast and coffee were excellent, breakfast is from 6-10 AM, the bar is open in the evening from 5 to 10 PM. The room was spacious and very quiet, despite some construction works outside. Many Uber drivers to choose from. Would definitely stay again.

Checked in late. The view from the room was terrible. When you looked out of the windows it was cement down and other windows from the same hotel. Literally you could see in other guest rooms. When I switch the water to the shower head it wouldn't even switch all away and then the water wouldn't drain out of the bathtub it was disgusting. There is nothing spectacular about this hotel room whatsoever. The valet system is really screwed up too. Never going back for $150 a night I'd rather stay ... Read more

Greetings with smiles!! I felt comfortable staying at this hotel. The rooms were great! High ceilings, decent size rooms. Typical Courtyard setting but it was the customer service that exceeded my expectations in which it made it a pleasant stay. There were plenty of food options in the neighborhood including Starbucks right downstairs and outside the hotel, where you can walk too. There is construction right in front of the hotel at present but nothing really to delay your commute or restrictio... Read more

Booked a room last minute to attend a baseball game and found this gem! Great customer service allowed us to check in quickly into a clean and spacious room! We were in walking distance to restaurants and Minute Maid Park! The only downfall would be waiting to drive up to the hotel... our wait was 45min to an hour for a 1/2 a block drive up to the hotel! Chaos everywhere!! Overall, a good experience and a good stay! I would visit and recommend this hotel even with the long wait in line to park!

We stay at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Houston in early May and the hotel was very accommodating and convenient for downtown activities. Currently they have some street construction going on around the hotel and getting in and out can be tricky. That being said the parking attendants are most helpful with directions and suggestions. The rooms in the Courtyard were as expected - neat/clean and well appointed. We would stay here again when the occasions arises.

Very similar to the combination Courtyard/Residence Inn that you may have stayed in Austin. Location is in the city center, but does not offer many options for dining within walking distance that are open later in the evening. Room was updated with the new Courtyard décor package, which is nice. Service was good. Only annoyance with most downtown hotels is parking and the wait for the valet.

We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Houston while attending a conference at the convention center. Overall, the location was excellent - a short walk to the convention center and right on the Dallas Street tram line. The staff were very friendly, always greeting us as we entered. My only gripe would be with Courtyard in general no longer having a breakfast buffet, so breakfast in the restaurant now takes too much time. Fortunately on our last morning we went just up the block to Shula's in t... Read more

In a renovated office building, the rooms are large! The bed was comfortable and the AC works well. We had an inside view so the view was of the roof, not sure about other rooms. It is close to downtown activities and Houston cabs will take you anywhere downtown for $6, so grab a cab and avoid the Texas heat! Valet is a bit slow, My complaint with this property concerns the location of valet in regards to the smokers lounge outside. The seating for the smokers lounge is right outside the f... Read more

Very happy to have stayed here for three nights while in Houston for business. Central downtown location with very nice rooms that I expect from a Courtyard property. Front desk and valet staff were very helpful, even convincing me to try my first ever Uber ride! Saved me money and time so I could do more of what I needed to do while in town. Yes, the parking does cost money!

Very nice hotel with great location, walking distance to House of Blues and Pete's piano bar and great restaurants! Highly recommend it. Very clean rooms, nice pool on the roof top. We hung out by the pool and then headed out to dinner at a near by restaurant and then to pete's. All within walking distance.

Cant beat this place if you want to redeem some points for a free night. Turn your car over to the valet and uber on over to the park for a great night out. Brrakfast is real eggs cooked by a chef. This the best breakfast I have ever had at a Courtyard. The staff was extremely friendly and outgoing. Awesome job! Great team.

We had our stay on a weekends for easy access of the parks and museums. We stayed on 1 king bedroom with sofa. The room is great with a good interior. Its clean and with good ambiance. We've been given a free complimentary breakfast since our request of having a microwave in a room was not given. The food in the cafe was good and its ambiance. its not crowded and its clean. The room has no safe but we feel the hotel is safe so not an issue. The only parking available is valet parking for 30usd t... Read more

We've stayed here before. I always enjoy staying downtown when a good rate is available for our several trips to Houston each year. Stay was just overnight on July 23-24. When we arrived the little area to unload, park, valet was jam packed. Astros game was later that day, maybe 2-3 hrs later. And they couldnt handle the crush of cars or arrivals, parkers in the small area out front. Building is nice, well appointed, nice rooms, price was great, everyone was friendly. The Starbucks inside... Read more

Arrived at the hotel on a Friday afternoon and entrance was very crowded. Took about 15 minutes to get in. Staff was gracious and helpful. Great area of downtown with a variety of options for dining and entertainment. Saturday morning I figured out the reason for the cheap rate. Parking was a disaster. After waiting in a long line, it took 40 minutes to get our car. Sunday was worse...about an hour. This is a problem that won't have a quick fix other than less customers. I can help with that.

Spent a night in downtown Houston for our anniversary. The Courtyard was amazing. It started with a wonderful greeting at the front desk, including a free bottle of wine for our anniversary. The room was fantastic and the location is great, near the House of Blues and lots of great bars and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

Spent two nights at the Courtyard and it was a nice hotel. Rooms were recently renovated and very spacious. There are actually 3 hotels all in the same building with this property and a Residence Inn connecting. Hotel offers valet parking or pay parking and is located downtown within walking distance to restaurants (10 minutes or so.) The area didn't seem like the greatest but I know Houston is trying to revitalize the entire area. Staff was nice and said hello every time I walked by. I would ... Read more

the room was larger than i expected and appeared to be recently renovated. lighting was a bit dim and we could not find a room safe. there is a street car route just outside on main street. the immediate area is fairly desolate, but we felt safe walking after dark. i would return.

Stayed at the courtyard by Marriott on main st Houston, Texas on Monday, August 29,2016. Room was nice, large, clean. Staff friendly. The Bistro was nice. Flatbread spinach and chicken and the chicken quesadilla were excellent. Bought lemon pound cake to take back to the room and was very disappointed. Dry, dry, dry. Tasted old. They closed at 10 PM so unable to return and get another dessert. The hot water for shower /bath must be turned low because a hot bath / shower was unattainable the eve... Read more

We just returned from a long weekend in Houston. Our room was nice....the problem was getting it cleaned. Two days in a row the room was not cleaned. One day we arrived back to the hotel after Housekeeping had left for the day, so all we got were clean towels. When they did clean, it was just a quick, surface cleaning. Glasses were not replaced, nor were the coffee cups...so no coffee on two of the mornings. In addition, this room is right by the gym and outdoor pool. The hallway by our r... Read more

Got in late tonight for an early meeting after driving from San Antonio. Did the pre checkin online which has always been a mistake due to getting put in a bad room. I asked the lady at the front desk if the room I was in was quiet and she got very defensive and said she doesn't know anything about the rooms. I asked if she could see if it was by the road or train because I needed a quiet room and she said said to go to the room and come back down if I didn't like it but they are completely ... Read more

My stay was for business and for me this place was perfect. Things aren't over-engineered. It was very clean, quiet, and I didn't have any issues with tech or heating/cooling that I normally run into on the road. The staff was great as well. Only reason for 4 of 5 is that breakfast could have been a bit better - minor complaint only.

I had one night at the Courtyard on a short stopover in Houston. Location was good. I had arrived by bus and it was a 10-15 minute walk from the station. Within 4-5 blocks from the hotel there's a decent choice of bars and restaurants. The room was great. Clean, spacious, comfortable bed, good shower. Highly recommended!
