I just wanted to take the time to recommend this hotel to anyone in the area. Upon arriving , Josh at the front desk greeted us with a smile, jokes and a welcoming personality . The rooms were great and the staff was very helpful. Its also located in a central location making it accessible to many spots !!! We will definitely return !

I own a dog and I love dogs. I just do want my house or a hotel room that is part of the SPG family to smell like one. It is great that the hotel has an adopt a dog program and I am all for it. If guest are staying in the rooms with their dogs, greater cleaning efforts must be in place. It is humid in Houston and that brings out the dog smell, even with the A/C on. I woke up with an irritated nose and had somewhat of an allergic reaction. It was not a good sleep as I smelled the dog odor al... Read more

Stay two nights (Sat-Mon). The location was great! Entering and exiting the hotel was extremely easy with quick access to mayor roads to move around the city. Check in was outstanding! The counter is very small yet it had a big service. Staff was very friendly, professional and fast to secure check in (5 minutes). Access to the parking garage and room was easy. The room was great. Very contemporary look, that uses space very effectively and makes the stay super comfortable. Clean linens and gre... Read more

Hotel was nice and close to the Galleria. Unfortunately when I called Aloft's customer service number the day before we left they told me there was a shuttle to take us places, but when we got there they said there were no longer a shuttle available. I also wish this place had an outdoor pool since it's so hot there! Overall, the hotel was very nice and the rooms were spacious. I loved how many mirrors the bathroom had, most places have limited spots to get ready.

I chose this hotel for price and that it allows pets. The room was very new and modern but small for myself, my girlfriend, and our little dog. Parking was the usual too high of a price. This area could've easily provided free parking because of all the land around the property. Everything about the hotel was great except the room size.

Could not fault the staff and the room here. Its not 5* but meets all the requirements for a very comfortable stay. Very convenient for galleria and parking is easy and inexpensive. Lots of placed to eat a block or two away or go to Galleria. Recommended

Great hotel, close to galleria, rooms are very quiet and includes all the amenities that you need, parking is $16 per nigth and you can take the elevator from the parking lot directly to your room, if you go shopping is great.

The front desk is very helpful and we loved how pet friendly the hotel was. We love to stay at a hotel with a bar and that is one of the reasons we picked this location. The bar manager was never behind the bar and closed up three hours earlier each night because she doesn't like to work weekends. I saw several people give up on waiting on her because she would leave for 30 minutes at a time. They need to hire someone more friendly for behind the bar. She was miserable and let everyone know at t... Read more

We love staying at this hotel when we go to The Galleria. It is within walking distance to restaurants and The Galleria. It is a nice hotel and pets are welcome. The food menu from the local steakhouse is expensive but oh so good. Rooms are small but the showers are very spacious.

Great location. Parking was very convenient, I liked the in/out access without having to go through the main lobby every time you enter/exit. Staff was nice. The room could be cleaner. The AC was confusing to use always too hot or too cold. Something so simple was complicated.

The Garage Elevator to access hotel was out of service. It was my first time staying there tried to ask staff for info, policies etc. and they were very short w. answers it was as if every thing was expected to be serve yourself. Check in @ a kiosk over there... No shuttle service on weekends to Galleria. No one was @"XYZ," bar. However, Bar across the street was really fun had great live music drinks/food. Elevator voice sounds rude. Décor looks like a T-Mobile ad loud noisy color scheme loud ... Read more

We booked this hotel for the indoor pool for my daughter to enjoy the weekend. The pool stayed closed the entire time we were there. The staff was very rude about it also. Breakfast was not impressive and over priced. The location of the hotel was great fro walking to the mall. The view from the room was amazing at night. Parking was not free. The bathroom was dirty, they were limited on towels they offered.

I've stayed at this Aloft before while in town for work. I like the location of the Galleria because you're pretty much in the middle of everything including some very good restaurants. The last time I stayed here, I found it adequate. This time convinced me it's time to consider another spot. The TV didn't work, the ironing board was broken, the iron barely functioned, and the pillows were pretty uncomfortable. On top of it, I had to extend my stay and it was much more difficult to do so that... Read more

This was our second time staying at this Aloft hotel - our go-to hotel for staycations. Our first 2 nights were great. The room was really clean and the bed was very comfortable. But night 3 we had to leave. We had gone out Friday night and when we returned to our room, it smelled awful. Almost like a skunk had been in there. We cranked up the AC to get more air flowing and the smell dissipated briefly, but I called the front desk to let them know that it smelled like someone had been smokin... Read more

We stayed at the Aloft Houston for 3 nights and had two rooms. The hotel itself is has a very modern artistic design situated close to the Galleria. It is conveniently located in a nice area of town. The staff that we dealt with were all very nice and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel has a small pool and exercise facility. There is a washing machine/dryer onsite that we used. The hotel has a small breakfast area where you can buy snacks thru out the day and they make... Read more

The Aloft Hotel is located near marvelous shopping at the Galleria, many restaurant options, and easy freeway access. The rooms are well clean, quiet, and modern. The gym is well equipped. The one downside is that while there is ample covered parking, there is a daily parking fee.

This was the ideal place for me to stay untill. I got to the front desk. The service was very poor and unprofessional. Very rude and I believe the guy that assisted me has some type of mental disablity. The room was just ok. I enjoyed the style of the hotel. But just wasnt what I expected. Do better !!! Epspecially for the price. Do wayyyy better!!!

I first stayed at this property 3 years ago and was impressed. After my recent stay on 9/24/16, I can say I would not stay there again. One of my pet peeves is when the key to the room does not work. I arrived late, tired after a long day, went to my room and both of the card keys did not work, no house phone to call the front desk, so went back. They let me into the room with a master and said they would fix it from the outside and the keys would work. Never was done. Wasn't a big deal be... Read more

I have been here more than once and will come again. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The gym is not top notch, but pretty good (the pool I never tried). The location is very good, nearby the Galleria, not far from downtown, and decent restaurant in close reach. Be aware that there is no classical breakfast room with buffet or so, simply the "refuel"-serve-yourself bar where you get a coffee, snacks, etc.. However, if you are on a business trip an... We stayed at this Aloft for the weekend. The place was very clean. We had trouble with the AC but they fixed it right away. The best part of our stay was that they are very pet friendly. We travel with our 2 small dogs and this is very important. They provide a goodie bag for your pet and the best part....NO pet deposit. The only thing that they can improve on is the bar. The cocktails were not very good and are very pricey. The bartender tried to talk us out of every drink we ordered. It was pr... Read more

We stayed at the hotel on 10/22/16. The first thing we noticed was the room was not that clean. The most disgusting thing was brown stains on the wall near the commode, not small, bigger than a finger print. Item 2, the elevator had a mind of its own. Having pressed the lobby it went down to the 2 floor and up to 10. Third, the bar offering several draft beers had none. I was told the lines freeze up. Early Sunday at 830am we heard a knock on our door and it immediately opened. My wife was dress... Read more

Decided to go to Houston solo for Halloween weekend. Love staying here. Jerry and the aloha welcome desk staff were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Jerry and staff made this visit a-mazing. He knew several local spots to visit, remembered my name, and appreciated my SPG Gold Status. The pool is underwhelming and usually has a gaggle of small children. However, this is my fourth or fifth time staying here and the service keeps getting better and better. Think fancy college dorm in a great location with a shwanky lobby bar. This place is near the Galleria and nest to Ruths Chris, across from several other eateries too. The staff were very nice and a true asset to this property. Yet it was the bed that made me a very happy camper: soft enough yet firm enough -- just right. This will be my Galleria-area hotel from now on.

From start to finish, this hotel is pretty horrendous. This is my second time staying here for work while visiting Houston and it will definitely be my last. At check-in, I was greeted by one of the rudest men. He snapped at Spanish speaking employees (in a derogatory manner) who were being 100% polite to him. How this man got his job is completely beyond me. I get beyond check-in, thankfully, and was greeted by a pretty disgusting room. See pictures for visuals. The floor was disgusting in ... Read more
