Staff was friendly and helpful from the desk to the maids. The rooms are large, new, airy and with a large window. There was free FAST internet connection -- other hotels charge $19 for a slow connection Breakfast was great with fresh blackberries every morning -- all you want. One morning there were raspberries ! If they scrambled eggs are a bit dry for your taste, just add a bit of sausage gravy -- Yum. Not only are there cookies and milk at 4pm, but there are apples, oranges and banan... Read more

This HIE is an excellent location for conferences and easy access to metro lines. Staff service exceeded my expectation! Pool and spa was well maintained, clean and has a classy look and feel. It is only a block from the Toyota Center (Rockets NBA)- so it may be crowded and loud for home games. Will stay here when returning with family!

We brought our granddaughter to the Toyota Center to see a concert. This hotel is easy walking distance from the Toyota Center which made it great. We parked free at the hotel and didn't have to pay high prices for "special event" parking. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and quiet and the free breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely go back.

This hotel is packed with great amenities and topped off with outstanding service. My daughter celebrated her 11th birthday in a suite with a few friends. We loved the indoor pool and the cookies and milk buffet. We will definitely be back for a staycation ome weekend.

Because I had to use my IHG points, I chose this Holiday Inn Express in Houston. It did everything that was expected ftrom a HI Express. It had a great bed, a big room, a clean, well appointed bathroom, a superb coffee maker etc. All you would expect. What made the stay even better was the indoor pool with jacuzzi, which was great to relax. Gym looked good as well (not used). Also, the hotel has got a large parking area where your car can be parked for free. And this is central Houston! The fron... Read more

When we arrived, we were greeted at the desk by Lesley. I explained to her that we did not have much time before we had to leave for a meeting. I needed to take a shower prior to our departure. Even though it was in the early afternoon, Lesley immediately contacted the cleaning supervisor, who informed lesley that it would be ready very shortly. And it was. I had time to shower and we were at our meeting on time. The room was clean and quiet, beds were comfortable, and the A/C worked very w... Read more

The A/c looked brand new, but had no forceful air, woke up sweating at 4am. Also a very weird smell in the room. Like a old wet carpet. I couldn't even take a shower without flooding the bath room it was ridiculous the shower curtain was to small for the rod. Windows were very outdated and allowing humid air to enter the room. The bed need updating as well. For 160 dollars on a weekday I figured this place would be as nice as other Holiday Inns in Houston. Probably the best part was free parking.

Pleasant and friendly. Clean cold AC and rooms were available. Parking was available for large truck which was a benefit. Breakfast was hot and had a large variety of items. I personally think it was priced a little high but still cheaper than some of the others nearby.

We stayed in this hotel for three days after a 14 hour flight from New Zealand The location of the hotel is good given that the CBD is two blocks away. Our room was of a good size and the bed had a thick covering on the mattress which made it very comfortable indeed. The pillows were also very comfortable. The breakfast was complimentary and the room was large with a good selection of food for all tastes. We enjoyed the small pool and this was a relaxing destination after a day out. Staff w... Peaceful, super-friendly staff, tidy and clean, updated decor, hot-tub soak, 4 o'clock cookies and milk, wine at 5p. What's not to love? All the positive reviews I read prior to booking did not mislead.

Ok hotel but in a bit of a deserted area. Didn't feel safe walking the few blocks to a restaurant at 7pm. Disappointed that there was no in room safe. Breakfast was very average. Mainly cereals and pastries. Car park had limited spaces and filled up quickly as it got later.

Approximately 3-5mins away from the Toyota Centre. Staff was understanding, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was spacious and comfortable. Lighting in room was abit dull but manageable. Internet was good throughout the hotel. Breakfast was the same every morning however,no variety.

Stayed here three years running when have been in Houston for conference - can not fault them. Room always clean, plenty of space for my stuff. Breakfast good - fresh berries not canned fruit is a bonus. My only niggle is the plastic cutlery - know it is a cost thing but hope all gets recycled! My room was towards the back - so a bit of noise from traffic - but suspect that is true in most of the rooms. Easily walkable to the convention centre, reception staff always happy to find taxi for journe... Read more

My room was VERY clean and I am VERY picky about hotel rooms! The front desk was friendly and accommodating related to an extra blanket and a late check out. I was advised by a Houston police officer to not walk anywhere around the area after dark (there is a huge homeless population in the area) so we just Uber'd everywhere. I would stay here again.

Brought teenagers for a concert. Venue was a 10 minute walk downtown. Very clean lobby with friendly staff. Rooms were great. The pool, even though we didn't get to swim, was beautiful. Warm cookies at 4 pm everyday with milk. Yum!

We stayed there for two nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. The facility is well kept and the staff is very friendly. Rene at the front desk offered us first class service and was very polite. The hot tub and pool are indoors which is very nice. Parking is free which is hard to find downtown and the breakfast is as well. It is a full breakfast not just muffins and fruits. It is within walking distance to the Toyota events center and very close to most of the stuff down town. I would recommend ... Read more

This is a fantastic hotel with great staff. In particular Jeannie on reception is superb. Nothing is too much trouble for her. The rooms are beautiful and clean as is the whole of the hotel. Everywhere is very very clean. The staff cannot do too much for you and there is obviously a sense of pride with the staff. They treat it as there home and you as there quests. If you want to stay at somewhere who really care for their quests this is the place. Superb
