Hyatt Place used to be my favorite hotel for business travel, but this visit showed me how much their standards have slipped. On a four night stay I did not receive any refills of coffee, only cold foods are offered for the free breakfast, and the internet service was awful, very slow and dropping me constantly (it even dropped completely one night).

The Hyatt Place in Garland, TX was well appointed, rooms were clean and quiet. Overall I was pleased with my experience. The only complaint I would have and it is a relatively minor point is that the cost of the food in the cooler near the front desk is very expensive for what it is. A garden salad (about the size you see from a fast food restaurant) is very expensive I believe I paid nearly 13 dollars. My advice is to eat out or bring food in from the many places nearby.

It's a great hotel located near some stores where you can do last minute shopping or just go for a drink and all you have to do is walk. The customer service is one of the best I've had at a hotel and the breakfast is not too bad. They don't mind pets as I noticed there was a lady staying there as well with her two dogs.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and kept clean. Updating may be required soon. There is also a very nice coffee shop in the hotel and the breakfast is some of the best I have found for a long time - and I stay in business hotels very often. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The comfortable mattress will surprise you, and although I had my personal pillow with me, I didn't really need it. A good place to call Home Away From Home.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. There was nothing about this hotel or the staff to complain about. Park on the right side of the hotel, not the left (as you are facing the front door). Less idiots on the right side.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My stay was wonderful. First off, the maid service was great. I didn't not need much cleaning done to the room other than the bed made, fresh towels, and trash taken out. So it always put a smile on my face that the maid service consistently did their job in the few hours I left the room. One time, they even did the cleaning and left when I was only gone less than 2 hours! Second, the continental breakfast was also quite good. It was always fresh. Stayed here the first weekend June 2016 to attend graduation for grandtr.; easy walk to Curtis Culwell Center just behind the hotel, so it was a plus that we didn't have to drive, park, OR pay $10 for parking. This is a busy hotel, but the staff was efficient. Pros: location, pet friendly, good cold a/c, IHOP, Wild Wings, & a Mexican restaurant in front of hotel, and hotel is "newer". The staff was great. Love the beds! Fell asleep immediately. The beds were awesome that I feel asleep without dinner and woke up the next morning. My only issue is that at check in they stated my status still shows Platinum yet I rec'd an email starting I was now Diamond. Hyatt Gold passport still has not corrected the problem despite giving them the email I rec'd. Very frustrating with Hyatt Gold passport but nothing against the hotel.

This 2009 hotel needs and update in many ways. Place was clean and staff was friendly, but don't expect a good nights sleep. The hotel is typically booked and noises abound from rowdy kids and adults. Beds and sofa beds in poor shape. No USB outlets in room. The outdoor pool is too small for volume of guests.

This hotel has been one of the more convenient locations for our needs. We are a competitive cheer family and have many camps and competitions in the Dallas area. I really appreciated that fact that there are multiple restaurant options within walking distance. The pool was nice, albeit lacking shaded areas for those that may need it. Overall, I will be staying here again should our travels lead us in this direction.

Be aware that as of 10/01/2016 there is construction going on right next to this hotel. The hotel itself was built in 2009 but the room we were in was really rundown already. We stay at this wonderful hotel because of its location. It is a great place, friendly staff, nice hotel and walking distance to the tournament. Also, places to eat are very close. We are able to meet friends in the lobby and visit. The staff makes you feel at home.

I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The staff from maintenance to host areally wonderful. They are also pet friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home away from home. If you are staying for an extended time they really take time to get to know you. You areally not just another guest.

Everything was fine. Comfortable bed. No microwave. Drinks only available at front desk at outrageous prices. Overall, I was pretty content with stay. Will definitely stay here again. There is a Mexican restarting, a Buffalo Wild Wings and an IHOP all within walking distance so no worries about driving after drinking.

I will definitely think twice about staying here again. The room itself was very nice, but the walls were so thin, I could hear just about every interaction in the hall and in neighboring rooms. The shower was very weak and could not be adjusted.

Although good location this hotel needs renovation. Public areas look good but the rooms are really worn. They advertise comfort mattresses but they are old & need replacing. We have stayed here multiple times but feel with all the other hotels going up in the area it is time to try a new place.
