Hyatt Place used to be my favorite hotel for business travel, but this visit showed me how much their standards have slipped. On a four night stay I did not receive any refills of coffee, only cold foods are offered for the free breakfast, and the internet service was awful, very slow and dropping me constantly (it even dropped completely one night).

The Hyatt Place in Garland, TX was well appointed, rooms were clean and quiet. Overall I was pleased with my experience. The only complaint I would have and it is a relatively minor point is that the cost of the food in the cooler near the front desk is very expensive for what it is. A garden salad (about the size you see from a fast food restaurant) is very expensive I believe I paid nearly 13 dollars. My advice is to eat out or bring food in from the many places nearby.

It's a great hotel located near some stores where you can do last minute shopping or just go for a drink and all you have to do is walk. The customer service is one of the best I've had at a hotel and the breakfast is not too bad. They don't mind pets as I noticed there was a lady staying there as well with her two dogs.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and kept clean. Updating may be required soon. There is also a very nice coffee shop in the hotel and the breakfast is some of the best I have found for a long time - and I stay in business hotels very often. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The comfortable mattress will surprise you, and although I had my personal pillow with me, I didn't really need it. A good place to call Home Away From Home.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. There was nothing about this hotel or the staff to complain about. Park on the right side of the hotel, not the left (as you are facing the front door). Less idiots on the right side.

The hotel was clean. The staff was courteous and friendly. The front desk staff doubled as bartenders. The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh. The room was very nice, quiet and the bed was quite comfortable.

Good location and nice hotel. Enjoy the greeting when I arrived and the hotel was clean. Morning breakfast is good and part of the fee. Rooms are nice and perfect size for business and family to spread out. Enjoyed Firewheel mall located near by.

I loved staying at this hotel. The location was excellent. There are shopping and restaurants near this hotel. The entire staff from front desk, kitchen, and cleaning crew was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. The WIFI and the use of their computers and printer was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My stay was wonderful. First off, the maid service was great. I didn't not need much cleaning done to the room other than the bed made, fresh towels, and trash taken out. So it always put a smile on my face that the maid service consistently did their job in the few hours I left the room. One time, they even did the cleaning and left when I was only gone less than 2 hours! Second, the continental breakfast was also quite good. It was always fresh. For the first 3 days I was there, a portion of ... Read more

Stayed here the first weekend June 2016 to attend graduation for grandtr.; easy walk to Curtis Culwell Center just behind the hotel, so it was a plus that we didn't have to drive, park, OR pay $10 for parking. This is a busy hotel, but the staff was efficient. Pros: location, pet friendly, good cold a/c, IHOP, Wild Wings, & a Mexican restaurant in front of hotel, and hotel is "newer". Firewheel Center is close for shopping & other restaurant choices (Fish Market Grill was good...not great, but ... Read more

The staff was great. Love the beds! Fell asleep immediately. The beds were awesome that I feel asleep without dinner and woke up the next morning. My only issue is that at check in they stated my status still shows Platinum yet I rec'd an email starting I was now Diamond. Hyatt Gold passport still has not corrected the problem despite giving them the email I rec'd. Very frustrating with Hyatt Gold passport but nothing against the hotel.

I've always enjoyed staying here. Staff is very friendly & courteous. The rooms are always clean, spacious & very comfortable. The expanded comp breakfast is excellent. The location is convenient to large shopping center, Garland's Firewheel public golf course & lots of good restaurants. It's an excellent value.

I have stayed here before, and even reviewed this property before, but this time, I stayed for a long period of time--almost two weeks. Since this was a longer stay, I had a lot of time to consider things. First, the positive things: the location is good, right off the PGBT and directly across the street from the Curtis Culwell Center. There are restaurants nearby, and the Firewheel mall is also close. The morning breakfast was decent, although nothing special. Housekeeping services were pretty ... Read more

This 2009 hotel needs and update in many ways. Place was clean and staff was friendly, but don't expect a good nights sleep. The hotel is typically booked and noises abound from rowdy kids and adults. Beds and sofa beds in poor shape. No USB outlets in room. The outdoor pool is too small for volume of guests.

We have stayed at this location a couple of times and love the convenience to shopping and other restaurants . The hotel was clean and the staff was great! The HOT breakfast was not so hot, it was cold and under cooked. I would recommend this hotel to a friend but would beware them of the breakfast.

We stayed here while visiting some friend near Garland. The room was very nice and clean. They bed was comfortable and not too firm. The continental breakfast had a nice selection and there was plenty of space to sit and eat. Wifi worked well and was not slow. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I will stay here again the next time we are in the area.

This hotel has been one of the more convenient locations for our needs. We are a competitive cheer family and have many camps and competitions in the Dallas area. I really appreciated that fact that there are multiple restaurant options within walking distance. The pool was nice, albeit lacking shaded areas for those that may need it. Overall, I will be staying here again should our travels lead us in this direction.
