This hotel was affordable and walking distance to the beach (1 mile). It has a mini putt course and is very near the water park. The food in the associated restaurant was ok. Staff were very friendly, but were unable to get us a taxi when we needed one. Turns out taxis in Galveston are independent contractors and can choose which fares they want rather than being required to take the next fare in the dispatch queue.

This was a fast 2 day family vacation that was booked 1 day before going. The hotel is not new and looks like they're doing some renovations. But seems fine to us. The service from housekeeping was awesome. Desk personal were okay. Pool was nice but due to ?something? there were 100's of baby frogs all over and in the water. Will definitely come back here again.

This is the second time we have stayed here prior to a cruise. You can park your car under the cruise and park package and take a shuttle to the terminal. Rooms have outside corridors in the main building and inside in the tower. There is also a restaurant on property. We have tried to book the tower rooms which are newer but they are always full. Next to Sliterbaun Water Park.

My boyfriend and I went to Galveston for a weekend getaway. We had lots of activities planned, so I wanted a hotel that was clean, but nothing fancy. The property was a little dated, but well maintained. Upon check in, we had an extremely helpful and friendly front desk lady. I feel bad I didn't get her name. Once we got to our room, I was impressed. The room itself was massive and the bed.......WOW. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We decided to get out for a little while on Satu... Read more

Room was spacious. Breakfast was good. Staff was warm and helpful on most things. The WiFi in the room was unusable and even in the lobby/breakfast area it was marginal. I reported the problems in the room the first day and the desk clerk said maintenance would be notified. Sadly, I did not notice any improvement over the next two days. We enjoyed the free miniature golf course on the front lawn. The property will need money spent on repairs/maintenance/upgrades in the very near future.

Used this hotel for night before cruise left. Everything went very well. Motel is a little older, but has been very well maintained. Rooms are large and comfortable. There is covered parking available while you are on your cruise. We booked through the motel and our parking and shuttle to and from the pier were included in the bill. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is not a fancy place, but it was easy to find and if you like it is right next door to Schlitterbaun (sic?) water park... Read more

I've traveled all over and this has to be the cleanest and nicest place I've been to in a long time. The lady at the check in was super nice and even upgraded my room to a location where I didn't have to climb stairs due to a bummed up knee. The bed was a cloud 9 bed and for once I had a shower where the water wasn't lacking. The breakfast was ok they could add more of a variety. Free putt putt golf anyone...so much fun at night

I called to get information on the 50 dollar fee and who ever answered was so rude to me. She talked to me like if I am stupid and got mad because I didn't understand her very well. It still wasn't very clear to me, but she had already made me feel bad, so I just decided to thank her and she hung up right away. :(

My family and I stayed at the Inn at the Water Park for one night before our family cruise. We picked the hotel because of the price and we just needed a place to sleep. We arrived at the hotel at approximately noon and I asked for an early check in. The front desk attendant was extremely helpful to me and even waved the $25 early check in fee!!! The room was ok what you would expect in a hotel room nothing fancy and nothing over the top, it was just ok. The air conditioner did not work we... Read more

We stayed here prior to going on a cruise. It was clean. The pool was clean. The staff were polite and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. The restaurant next to the pool was EXCELLENT. The rooms we had were nice sized. It is older but well maintained. It had a shuttle for cruise passengers which i heard was good but costs $10 a person which is good for more than 5 people. :) We enjoyed our stay and will return.

We took the grand kids to the Water Park and spent two nights at the Inn (2 rooms). The rooms were very clean and up to date and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the maids kept the rooms clean straight while we were out. The desk personnel were very polite and went out of their way to make our stay a good one, they found a way to make our rooms adjoining with one room a king and the other a double. We have come to Galveston for 5 years now. This was our first stay at this Hotel. It is by far the best hotel we have stayed at. I called the hotel & booked our stay with Brittany. I had questions about the prices, hotel & room she answered all of them & was so patient & friendly! Our last stay was at Moody Gardens & after hanging up we realized we could stay almost 2 nights extra for the price of one. So I called back a couple of days later to book an extra night making it a 5 night stay! Britt... Read more

I booked this hotel in January 2016, to avoid the increased cost of vacationing in Galveston during the summertime. The price was very reasonable for a five day stay. The staff was professional, helpful and patient in answering numerous questions from someone who was not from that side of Texas. Although the room was clean, it was a bit outdated especially after boasting about recent renovations. There was a separate room that housed the microwave, mini fridge that needed defrosting, a table... Read more

We stayed in the tower on the top floor. Was not loud, the rooms were clean, and everyone was very friendly. The Inn at the Water Park is walking distance (about .3 miles) to Schlitterbahn Park, and this may be its saving grace. The Inn itself is old and a bit musty, but unless the Schlitterbahn visitor wants to pay twice as much by staying at the hotel, expect to stay in a dated if adequate room, with few amenities and a bit of noise. The staff is very helpful, and check-in is easy. A nice feature is the covered parking under the building that facilitates unloading, loading and keeps the vehicle cool. ... Read more

Enjoyed our one night stay. We stayed in the newer building, a large room with minor wear (a few dings in the walls/paint missing). Limited places to hang swimsuits or towels would be my only complaint. The pool is farther from the newer building but cutting through the lobby helps. There is no shade or umbrellas at the pool. When they say you get what you pay for, they must be referring to this hotel. Since I was only staying for 1 night before my cruise, I figured it would suit my needs. I was wrong.
