We came down for a night away at the beach and this resort has always been consistent in the couple of years we've visited. Lovely location right in the beach with a boardwalk connecting the pool with the beach; very pleasant and helpful staff; clean functional rooms (not luxurious); and a kitchen with all the utensils you need for a meal or two. I'd recommend bringing some food to make your own meals if possible since the selection of eating places locally is about a 6 mile drive each way. I... Read more

The location is great - right on the beach. Easy parking, pool area was very nice. The units; however, are really showing their age. After checking in, noticed the unit wasn't very clean. Previous guest left drugs in bathroom drawer and food in the refrigerator. Shower doors had a film on them and the sliding doors had hand and finger prints all over them and the doorway sill to the balcony had soda or something sticky spilled and not wiped up. Mgmt sent crew to reclean - marginally better afte... Read more

We chose the wrong place for family Christmas holiday. I know there are better alternatives in Galveston for the same money. Room photos somewhat misleading as our balcony had space for one hard plastic chair and matching side table but only if the door was closed. The room was too small and the walls too thin, especially for a neighbor with a screaming baby. Not one restful night. Everything was average or just below. Far enough from town that one felt a hostage in a cramped space. Litt... Read more

Title sums up what's great at this hotel. Lol. Spent every morning on the beach - imagine 70 degrees in Texas during the Christmas holidays ????????. But beyond the location - everything else is about average. Room furnishings were very dated and definitely beat up. Free internet that NEVER connected. Lol. There were plenty of towels but the shower was dirty and had rusty fixtures. Bed was comfortable. There is a complete kitchen set up and a washer/dryer. The gym w... Read more

I liked this spot very much, but the sofa sleeper was horrible for adults (they usually are). The beach access and pool are outstanding, but the location is no where near food or activities. We ended up using Papa John's for pizza delivery of dinner. There are no free shuttles to the cruise ships, so using "get me" (like Uber) was about $40 for a SUV ride. The trip to the ship was 15-20 minutes. The staff was very friendly and we would stay here again, but do two rooms instead of sleeping on the... Read more

We wanted a hotel right on the beach, and this delivered. The suite was great, really loved having a washer/dryer for all those sandy beach items. Great location, close enough for a quick drive but far enough down the strip so it wasn't crowded or crazy. Would be my first choice if we return to Galveston.

We were in a two bedroom signature unit at this resort. This visit was amazing the unit was amazing it had so many extras that you only get at high value properties. Marble counter tops every were, the kitchen was over the top, amazing bathrooms and the showers were top[ of the line, a tub with a TV on the wall in front of it heaven on earth. The view from the balcony was breath taking, out over the ocean and beach area.

We had two adjoining rooms. Both had the same amenities but one room is definitely bigger than the other - bed, kitchen and living room. Also the bigger room had a bath tub and a standing shower. The rooms are clean and well kept. Parking is very convenient. The resort is steps away from the beach. Love watching the sunrise and sunsets. The pool is nice and warm. Stopped by the fish market for seafood to cook during our stay. There is a Walmart nearby. All in all, a very nice place to ... Read more

Nice views and proximity to the beach is the only real plus, the rooms are smaller than other HIV resorts, smallest shower I've ever seen, the pool has a heater but they do not keep it on high enough for the pool to be warm enough to swim in, far away from shopping and restaurants, very limited activities, convenience store very over-priced (felt taken advantage of because it is so far to other stores), rooms need deep cleanings (surface cleaned but edges and corners are ignored), elevator broke... If you long for sunrises and sunsets over big water, this is your place. Also interesting things to do and amazing food, especially Gaidos. Loved going down to the port and watching the ships come in.
