We really loved this hotel. We only got to stay one night, but look forward to returning here. We enjoyed a 10% discount with our Landry's Club card! Loved the location, amenities, and friendly staff. I'd easily recommend this hotel to my friends.

This hotel has easy access to the beach and convention center. We had a major problem here when I was issued a room, opened the door, and found it already had people staying in it! For the price of the hotel, they should have a little more organization and have shown a little empathy with the situation.

Fairly Nice hotel. Only complaint was the loud music at the pool and the hot tub was a joke. Full of kids and people. Never even able to get in. Way too small for that hotel...or at least keep the kids out. Staff was very nice and attentive.

They always treat us like family. Peggy got us the room we wanted. The restaaurant with Nancy, Charalotte & Kelly make sure we are well taken care of no matter what time of day.Quinn is trying tio work with food & beverage to make improvements in the bar. Brittany & the girls at the front desk take great care of us & Patty in the executive lounge couldn't be nicer. We always look forward to our special get aways.

This hotel has a great location practically on the beach. However we were told by other guests not go into the ocean because of pollution. The hotel seems small and cozy. It has a great little bar in the pool area. The service was excellent. Large rooms with plenty of space and very comfortable beds. For us who work a lot on vacations, wifi was expensive, and restricted to three devices wich is way to few for a family of two working parents and a teenage boy!

We went to Galveston for our 5 year wedding anniversary and stayed at the Hilton. The customer service was great here! We ate breakfast two different days at the hotel and both times we had Nancy Wilson as a waitress. She was very friendly and did an excellent job!

Well first let me say everyone is very kind. Downstairs very clean and the pool area is very lively. However they really need to improve with housekeeping and water leaking issues. As you see in the pics that they never dust, nor wash the the bed decor. My counters and mirrors was dusty but a kind housekeeper name Dashaun came and dust, changed our alarm clock, brought wash clothes and an iron board. All these issuses where in my room. It wasnt until the evening did we notice the dust filled ... Read more

We loved the cleanliness and modern look of the Galveston Hilton. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was good . The pool was not heated though even though they said it was on their website and pool bar was closed on and off during our 3 night stay. We would definitely come back though, it was a very good value for the location and the room quality .

We decided once we were in Galveston to stay the night. We were having such a great time at the pool that we decided to stay 2 nights and get a cabana by the pool on Saturday. Barbara Garza was our cabana attendant and she made sure we and our 3 year old had everything we wanted when we wanted it. We only had to appear to want something and she was right there. I specifically want to give kudos to Britney at the front desk most of all for making our stay memorable with an awesome gesture she made for us!! The hotel is within walking distance to a lot of eating places and souvenir shops. The pool is awesome with plenty of seating and it also has a swim up bar. My wife and I enjoyed a night away from home at this luxurious grand hotel. The lobby was grand and the pool was beautifully set in a submerged area to keep our Seawall traffic noise. The rooms are tastefully appointed but small compared to modern hotels and typical of historical properties. The museum in the lower level was well done and informative of Galveston's historic past.

We have stayed at this hotel before, no problems. The beds weren't that great, the bath mat looked disgusting and the shower curtain had mold all over it. Other than that the handle on toilet sticks everytime you flush. The room was clean enough, the view was great! The lighting is not good, too dark. In my opinion this hotel is way over priced. It's in a great location though and I'd probably stay here again!

Our family stayed at the Hilton before a cruise. The hotel/staff are outstanding as always, although there was a staff that went above and beyond, Barbara Garza. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was ok, the bedspread cover was heavily stained in one corner, it looked like it was more dirty than stained. Hotel is rather old. The "balcony and gulf view" are a bit of a stretch. There is a Gulf view but the balcony is tiny tiny and the air conditioner is blowing hot air onto the balcony while the one above it is leaking on you. Essentially a lot of money for very little bang. Food was not very good either.

Although an older hotel and not a wonderful balcony or Gulf view, it is good value for money in an expensive area. Here for a family event, so would not have been a location I would have picked, but right next to the convention center with good meeting rooms, made it good for a big wedding. The pool area is nice but drinks and food are expensive. Great for families with young children.

We stayed one night 2 adults and 3 kids. We went for dinner and came back getting settled and giggling with kids then security was knocking on the door and said we were too loud. We stayed at this hotel in October as part of a vacation trip with it has to be said very little research as it was a last minute trip. What I had failed to realise is that this is part of a large conference centre and is set up accordingly, we therefore found that for two of our three days many of the pool sun beds were cleared away early afternoon to make space for drinks receptions by the pool which meant that there were not a great deal of facilities in the sunshine for holidaying guests... If you have elevated status with Hilton, go to the Doubletree instead. This property has no regard for Hhonors status. Here are some issues: 1. Your free breakfast is actually only for COLD items. I have stayed all over the earth with Hilton and this is the only hotel I have ever seen that separates the breakfast. It's petty. 2. When I extended my stay for a day the front desk would not give me the lower rate on the Hhonors rate. They claimed that the room was different. 3. They don't man the... Read more

Absolutely, the best service I have ever encountered. I was coordinator for a class reunion and every staff member I had contact with was friendly and helpful. Every request I made was approached as an opportunity to help make our events the best possible. This is the second reunion at the Hilton and I do not believe it will be the last.

Best part was the location - right across from the beach! Decent room but place was outdated. For what we paid, expected a room/bathroom without rust and a shower that drained - did not expect to take a shower in ankle deep water at a Hilton! Remodel the rooms Hilton - put queen size beds in and maybe offer complimentary coffee to guests. (Refuse to make my own coffee when on vacation! ) Staff, especially housekeeping, was very friendly.

I stay with the Hilton family of hotels quite often. Overall, I thought everything here was "good enough" but not nearly as friendly as many of the others I've stayed with. Nothing glaring, but not what I've come to expect. For example, in other Hilton establishments I am greeted by name, thanked for being a Hilton Honors member, given a little goodie bag and the receptionists always seem up for a brief chit-chat. Here everything seemed quite perfunctory. Nonetheless, the staff were polite a... Read more

Shower water pressure was wonderful. Good breakfast waitress. Excellent view. Would have given a 5 star, but the following had issues. 1. Bathroom door would not shut. 2. Bathroom exhaust fan was very dirty (dated). 3. All the hallway carpets were filthy, but the room was clean. All tower rooms face the Gulf.

Before we arrived, I called the hotel to see if they got a particular sports channel and the front desk did not know so zi asked them to check. They came back and said "No. Then when we checked in, there was a problem with the rate. I asked to see a manager and was told there was not one available. They gave me triple points , but I was supposed to have double points and AARP discount. It was not worth holding up the line so I just took it even though the rate was higher. Great location on the Seawall, walking to nearby restaurants and beach. Clean hotel, friendly staff, nice pool with a swim up/poolside bar. Will definitely stay again. We love to walk so we walked down the seawall all the way to Murdochs. From that area we took a duck tour throughout town and along the Seawall to get the history of Galveston. Walking from the Hilton Hotel past the convention center to 61st St. there was a Kroger grocery store on the corner that was nice to be able to walk to t... Read more

Stayed here prior to a cruise. We used the stay and park option which was a great value! We were part of the Carnvial Liberty cruise that was cancelled on 11/1/16. The Hilton went above and beyond in helping my family as well as the other families caught without a place to stay or spend the afternoon after checkout. Staff were so friendly and shared their insight on what to do. They also shared all updates regarding the cruise delay and kept us apprised on things we may not otherwise have b... Read more

Booked one night for a park and cruise special, and the hotel was much more than I expected. The public areas were clean and elegant, and the room was big, clean and had great view of the ocean. All that made for a great stay, but the staff went way above and beyond on cruise day. The cruise ship had mechanical troubles and was running about 8 hours late ?? to start. The staff graciously offered to hold our bags, rescheduled all the shuttles and made us all feel at home while we just sat arou... Read more

We needed a weekend away and decided on the Hilton. The service was great, the food was good and the experience in the hotel was really nice. The room was clean and well appointed. The morning view of the gulf was a very pleasurable way to start the day. We went in the off season, so it wasn't over crowded and the pool and hot tub where easy to get into. We will be back.

The staff is the only positive at this hotel. There are no amenities, old worn out furnishings, not even good vending machines! Avoid this location! The price was high, but the hotel had no ambience. We recently stayed at this Hilton property and loved the location being close to the local attractions. The heated pool was a great bonus for our kids to use during both day and night. Our ocean view room was clean and nice with plenty of room for the 4 of us. The higher you are, the better the view is. We have been to Galveston numerous times, so we have some favorite restaurants that we would just take a short Uber ride but there are also plenty of others within walking distance.

Went for a weekend conference. my arrival was delayed due to horrible traffic. Isaac schlepped my things to the room. the bed was oh so comfortable, the bathe towels were soft and fluffy not stiff, the wait staff especially Kassie was very attentive. The coffee may have been star bucks if not very near and when the conference was over Isaac schlepped my things to the car. They made a week end conference more like a relaxing getaway. This is our favorite Galveston hotel. There are great sights and restaurants within walking distance. The older section has all balcony rooms and we prefer an East view. The new section does not have balcony rooms but they are more spacious and all face the Gulf of Mexico.
