The room was a pleasant surprise sort of an industrial vibe. We picked the hotel bevause of its location. Great views of ship traffic and we could watch dolphins playing . That said the breakfast is minimal but and there is no hotel restaurant but plenty of restsurants nearby

Beautiful setting. We visited in off season, so it was quiet and peaceful. Not a lot of amenities, but we were fine with that. Close to restaurants on the harbor, and the beach is not far. My husband and I would definitely recommend the Harbor House and hope to return someday.

We enjoyed truly the views out of the window and also the comfort and beauty of the room. But because of that we didn't want to have breakfast somewhere else. So we just grabbed some food and went back to the room. Unfortunately the food was really poor, even for a standard "continental breakfast". Not even some tea bags of the simplest sort (I drink hot tea usually). Location is excellent. One other thing: you cannot geta reservation in advance for a particular room. For a hotel at a tourist lo... Read more

We stayed in Galveston the night before our cruise. The Harbor House is in a great location to watch the cruise ships come into port. It is also very close (walking distance) to The Strand. Very clean, nice size room, comfortable bed. It was nice that they offered safe parking for our vehicle while we were on the cruise for $10 per night. Will definitely stay again.

I chose this hotel because it was sooooo close to the cruise ships. And it is literally in walking distance. Our room had sooooo much character. The lights, chairs, sink trashcan .... everything. I loved it. I will definitely stay here again!! Also, it is close to several restaurants in walking distance.

My family enjoyed our stay at Harbor House. From our room window, we were able to see the cruise ship, boats, rigs, and sea birds busy in the harbor. We also had fun strolling around the area and watching the dolphins swim by. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants in the complex, but it was a nice option to have. It was a quick walk over to the places on The Strand, and it was also an easy drive over to Moody Gardens, Schillterbahn, the Lone Star Flight Museum.

Excellent friendly service. Room was large and bed was the most comfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept in. I have back issues and usually have trouble traveling but this bed was great. Not really into the contemporary design but furnishings were new. The only complaint that I have is the lighting. Hallways were dark and the lights in the room were difficult to figure out. We are intelligent people and it took us awhile to figure out how to get one of the lights to work so that we could rea... Read more

This hotel is very cool. I loved the décor. The suite was huge and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. This is one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed in. Though it was completely full we never heard any noise from other guests. Continental breakfast was included. Dee was so sweet and professional. She really cared whether or not were enjoying ourselves. I highly recommend Harbor House hotel and will absolutely stay there again. I did not take any pictures o... Read more

The breakfast consisted of toast ,cereal juice,coffee.. The breakfast was a roll up door for 2hrs was hoping for bacon and eggs. To me it was not worth the price i pd..Four adults cramped in a small room with an extra bed and one child for one night moving around the room was difficult.

We stayed here last week. The location is absolutely perfect for food, shopping and the rooms outstanding. The staff welcoming and ready to help. Located on a pier, great for watching the river. Sister property, The Galvez offers swimming pool and access to the beach. A must stay!

We were happy to come across Harbor House. We did not have a reservation but DEE at the front desk helped us with a reservation for one night. It was kind of a last minute thought to spend the night in Galveston. Dee was excellent at the front desk. VERY friendly, very organized and she made sure to tell you everything about the property and where to get ice, Continental breakfast, good restaurants, parking and where to swim. Dee deserves a big pat on the back because she really tries hard to... Read more

We arrived at the Harbor House for an overnight stay, with the intention of getting on a cruise ship the following morning. The check-in process was made ever more pleasant by Dee, the front desk staff, who helped us out with parking, and information about the Hotel Galvez, a sister property. Rooms are spacious, modern, and nicely appointed. A complimentary Continental breakfast was available.

Very reasonable rates, large rooms, VERY clean, AC works great a must for Texas summers, excellent views of the harbor, friendly and informative staff, customer service here gets an A+. I have stayed a several hotels over the years while visiting Galveston. This one is overall my wife and I favorite. Sit at the window and drink coffee in the morning and watch the dolphins break the surface, pelicans diving, and the cruise ships come in from the window. It is located right by the Strand on pier 2... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for one night because we were going on a cruise the next day. The hotel was beautiful. Loved the location. I stayed on the second floor and had a beautiful view of the ocean and then saw my ship the next morning. The hotel also provided us shuttle transportation to the cruise terminal, which is down the street but to far to walk if you have luggage. The hotel has a continental breakfast but I couldn't comment on that because I wanted a full breakfast, unfortunately there i... Read more

We were there for our 35th Wedding Anniversary and it did not disappoint. The room was spectacular with a dining, living room and separate bedroom. It had the appearance of a loft apartment and we were so impressed. The views were remarkable. I cannot thank DEE, our hostess, enough for her care during our stay. Friendly, welcoming and attentive she most definitely is. We will absolutely return!

The Harbor House is not a hotel stay . . . it's a hotel experience that started by being greeted by Dee who definitely gets an A! Harbor House is located on Pier 21 and immersed deep within all things Galveston. We parked the car when we arrived and was able to walk to any and every destination we desired! Small hotel with a surprisingly big package of superior amenities. Worth it! Gorgeous, magical, amazing views! Looking forward to Dee and staying there again!

A total of 5 of our family stayed in 2 rooms at the Harbor House for a destination wedding. The location is great, with a view of the bay and beautiful sunrises/ sunsets. We interacted with Dee both for booking and while staying at the Harbor House. She was genuinely friendly and accommodating and made our stay a joy. The manager (didn't get his names) was covering for some employees and was working very hard, with a smile on his face. Three of us were in one of the suites, while the other ... Read more

This hotel is located right next to many restaurants, shops, and is on the bay. It's beautiful inside and out. The room are modern and updated and it's very quiet here. The room is very spacious and did I say quiet? It was very clean with all amenities needed. Beds were comfortable. Please note I only give 5 stars on hotels that are 100% perfect. This one came close. The only thing that made it less than perfect is the shades didn't fully block out the light and I'm very sensitive to lig... Read more

We stayed in room 306 at the Harbor House Hotel on Pier 21. The location is fantastic, and we had a lovely bay view from our window. Our room overlooked the pier, Galveston Bay, and Willie G's restaurant. The room decor was modern and very clean. With its grey tile and massive shower, the bathroom looked like something out of HGTV. The beds were incredibly comfortable too.The mattress and sheets were super soft. We stayed one night at Harbor House in July. The exterior is attractive and the entire facility has a nautical theme which carries through the details. I believe the most of the pier 21 group of buildings, which includes several restaurants, is under the same ownership as the hotel. There is a dining district with a Bourbon Street type appearance across the street, several are well rated on Yelp though we did not visit there. Beyond, the cruise ships dock a few blocks north, and this area has a ... Read more

We did a cruise on Royal Caribbean's "Liberty Of The Seas" and spent two nights at the Harbor House before the cruise. I'm an early riser and a cruise-lover, so I totally enjoyed watching the cruise ships arrive around sunrise both mornings that we were there. We spent three nights at this delightful hotel this past week. There are many good things to say about this contemporary style, boutique hotel . View -- end room on 3rd (and top) floor facing cruise ship dock -- is a perfect view of Pier 21, cruise ship dock, and channel for watching boats! Other rooms have a good view, but only the end rooms have this perfect view.
