Our family vacation was great, Red Roof Inn helped with making it that way. We took our two dogs, the staff were friendly towards us and them. Breakfast was okay, what you would expect. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is great, directly across from the beach. We will book at Red Roof Inn again.

I expected a lot more for what I paid, the best part about staying here was the beach is right across the street. Our room was small, it smelled a little musty, but it was tidy. Breakfast was lame, it was completely picked over and there wasn't enough seating for everyone that was crowded in the breakfast room. My biggest complaint was there was only one working elevator for everyone in the hotel and the coke machine near our room shocked my son when he pushed the soda button. My dealings with t... Another couple and my husband and I stayed at this hotel Thursday thru Saturday... The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean even tho they are renovating. In the Reno.. I would suggest hand held shower heads. But the showers are great! The staff that was exceptional was Joe ( at the pool.. He even brought us warm towels)... Teri ( at check in) and Michael Todd at the front desk. Always a smile and a hi from him!! They remembered us each time we saw them and went out of their... Read more

This is an older hotel but has been kept up nicely. We stay here every time we come to Galveston. The rooms are nice size, very clean and the staff is so helpful and friendly. The location is the best!!!

This was a good deal for the price. Most rooms do not have an gulf view, but the location is great and the gulf can be viewed from the entrance. It's well run, staff was good, and it's close to everything. You can walk right across the street on be on the beach.

Life savers.....My friendÔ??s wedding was in Galveston on 6/4/16. Torrential rain and flooding at our venue. We called Red Roof in and they not only gave us a banquet room for the wedding but their charge was so incredibly reasonable I could not believe it. Ultimately the water receded enough so we did not have to move the wedding at the last minute (and I mean 4 hours before show time) but I cannot say how much we appreciated them willing to work with us at the drop of a hat. The customer s... Read more

I have never been more impressed with a Manager and staff as I was here. With inclement weather approaching, they stepped in and offered to "rescue" my friend's wedding as it was outdoors and at risk of being postponed. This place is amazing and understands the term "excellent customer service" and "exceeding expectations". If you want to stay at a place where they go all out for their customers...stay here!

Our friend's beach wedding was not only rained out, but the venue where we were holding the reception (and also our location for Plan B in case of rain) was flooded out and we couldn't get vendors in, much less guests. After contacting many places trying to find a replacement venue, and after being told over and over we couldn't be accommodated on such short notice, Red Roof Inn came through and opened the door for us to save the wedding. After the bride was finally seeing a positive turn, the w... Read more

This is a very nice hotel right across from the ocean. We stayed two nights before our Carnival Cruise. Checking in was very easy. The rooms were clean and I really liked that there was not carpet in the room. I think the housekeeping supervisor needs to pay more attention to their job. I booked a room for 4 people. We were left two towels. Someone showed up at 8am to clean our room, we were not even up yet. They didn't come back. I would like to revisit that this hotel was very clean ... Read more

We decided to go to Galveston on a spur of the moment. The red roof inn was perfect. We always travel with our fur babies. Room was wonderful & we felt safe. Lots of places to eat. Love it being next to Kroger for snacks & drinks. We will be back.

I asked for a single bed and I got a double. I then asked for some light bulbs because we had four burnt. I was told the room service would go and take care of it and it was not. The location is awesome but the quality is just average.

Room clean and as described in ads. Right across Seawall Blvd from the beach. Parking was off the street and covered. We needed early check-in and they called us when the room was ready. No Complaints here. Friendly and helpful staff.

I would not recommend staying at the red roof inn in Galveston,tx the service is poor, the elevators are working poorly, and are an oven!!! I would not stay there ever again!! And if u don't mind waiting ten minutes u might can make u a waffle if it lucky at the continental breakfast!!

Everything in our room was broken. The fridge was broken. The TV was broken. The microwave was broken. Even the clips on the hangers were broken. It was absolutely awful. We saw three cockroaches in our room alone! When we first arrived, our double room (pretty obviously for more than one person) had ONE towel for four of us. It took them eight hours after requesting to three different staff members to finally (with attitude) give us the other towels. Cigarette burns, sticky stains on the table ... Read more

This place was terrible. First, we arrived at check in early, so they told us to wait and they would give us a pool view. We left and came back. They gave us a room facing the dumpster. I'm not the type to complain so I sucked it up and dealt with it. I went to charge my phone and soon realized that none of the outlets worked properly. They all had shortages and it took forever for my phone to charge. I had to put it in a certain position for it to actually charge a bit. Then at night we saw tha... Read more

This hotel has great potential; however, I do not believe the owners/management put any money into maintenance. Our room had a nice view. It also had many bugs. I understand bugs can be problems in some cities, however a clean environment goes a long way to combat these problems. Housekeeping did a horrible job. We found all kinds of candy and spills on tables and around the floor. The refrigerator was absolutely disgusting. I am not sure housekeeping has ever looked in there. When we were there... Read more

We stayed here because it was one of the only things available and it was cheap. $130/night. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. The breakfast was VERY basic with no healthy options except a few pieces of fruit, the outside corridors a little scary, non-smoking room smelled faintly of smoke, and there was a cigarette burn on the duvet. Furnishings were worn and the carpet had been cut out and cheap linoleum tiles put down with parts of the carpet still in place. The worst was the roaches. T... Read more

First time I stayed at this hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful in directing me to local establishments. Appreciated their recommendations of places to eat and visit. Was able to save money on breakfast each morning with their complimentary breakfast. Will certainly recommend to others.

So we booked this room with double beds last minute for the rock bottom price (insert sarcastic tone)of $250 after taxes. Employees that don't work at front desk are screwing around and take precedent over the customer. Room is ehh at best, there is a fridge & microwave. The pool looks NOTHING like the pictures. There's maybe 1/3 of the hairs and some of those are broken. Their "pool towels" are the size of a hand towel. To get to our room we had to park around back and go up the elevator, direc... Read more

Figured we would take a couple days to check out Galveston before a cruise and found this place.....the area seemed pricey but I figured for 175.00 a night it should be descent. There is certainly more negative, as the only positive was a quick walk to Starbucks. Everything was rusty, shower curtain rod was hanging off of wall, shower head was just hanging by a thread and faucet was moving around...the hairdryer they provided blew the circuit and my son was locked n the bathroom in the dark, ... This was the most horrible experience ever in my life. First off, we weren't able to check until 2 hours after check in. The rooms were filthy..Hair on sheets, refrigerator not working, not enough towels, no tissue and ants. No way possible those rooms were cleaned prior to check-in. This was a total nightmare..Only thing I enjoyed was employee who worked in kitchen. .my rating isn't even a star. I recommend they shut that place down..Everything it says online for red roof galveston is ALL LIES!... Read more

I have stayed here multiple times when I visit Galveston. It is not the nicest or the cleanest, but I don't go on vacation to hang out in a room all day. It is extremely affordable and the location is great. It is conveniently located within walking distance to Kroger, fishing pier, restaurants, and right across the street from the beach! It is also pet friendly and they don't charge extra for your pet.

My first time ever going to this hotel. The only reason why we booked it is because we brought our poodle. With this being a pet-friendly hotel. I understand the smell. But I couldn't hardly sleep. I had a headache everytime we came back. The staff is friendly. I love that is right across from the sea wall.
