This hotel is clean, modern, well managed and guest friendly. Located on the main thoroughfare in town and just a few blocks from everywhere, guests are within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and local attractions. Rooms and baths are spic and span and maid service is tops. We had a room at the end of the hallway and heard no sounds. It was like being at home.

I reviewed this exceptional Hampton last year and just wanted to say it is still a great place to stay, good location, grounds, staff, etc. Ask for one of the larger suite rooms on first floor. Great outdoor seating area.

Right on Main Street. Close to restaurants and shops. We got a larger room. The room was nice but our room was on the back side and overlooks the parking lot. The rooms on the front of the building have porches that overlook the street. Breakfast was also pretty decent.

Spending a lot of time traveling for business and pleasure, I stay in a lot of Hampton Inn's This is not a location I would come back to. While the outside of the hotel was nice, the experience went downhill when we checked in. It took over 20 minutes of waiting at the front desk for the agent to check us in. She was busy working with someone taking a reservation on the phone and the person had 101 questions. The clerk should have asked them to hold for a moment and given us our keys. We had... Read more

Not up to Hilton Hampton Inn Standards. The pool was dirty. Room was large and comfortable, but poorly updated showing holes in the wall where some sort of brackets were removed. Wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. Noise from halls and adjoining rooms was annoying. Desk service seemed indifferent. Will try other hotels next time.

Nice hotel and very well located. Walk to almost everything. A little pricey for a Hampton Inn. Rooms, lobby and pool area all well maintained. Staff friendly. The hotel is quiet at night, no traffic or outside noise. If you are arriving on a Sunday remember only beer and wine is sold in the stores in Texas. In other words bring your own bottle if you drink hard liquor. A few nice restaurants close by. The Mexican restaurant across the street was very good. Some of the bars have live music which... We stayed here 6/6-6/10 and the first two nights were fine. On night 3 I was awoken at 1 AM by the people the floor above. Yall. These people sounded like a herd of elephants having a marching band practice. It was LOUD. It awoke everyone in both of our rooms (226 & 228). This continued until 2 AM, and I decided to call the front desk. Yea, no help. He said he would, "check out the situation." No remedy. I called 2 more times throughout the night and the front desk never picked up my call. A... Read more

The grounds are beautiful. The pool lights up in multiple beautiful colors and has a grotto pass-through with waterfall and a rainfall effect. It has a small slide. Most of the pool, you can expect to merely wade in; it is only 4 ft deep at the base of the slide. The rest of the pool feels like it is designed for toddlers to play in. There are strange, large pieces at random places of the pool bottom...maybe something to cover drains? I don't know but they are several inches thick, so you can be... Read more

We always try to stay at Hampton Inns. We have always had great experiences, until this last time. I wanted to stay here for fathers day because my kids love the pool. Well that was the first disappointment, the pool was nasty. Our room looked like they had just slapped it together before we got there. Did I mention that we were booked into the wrong room? So I had to sleep on a couch for fathers day. I did decide to pull out the couch, The blood stains on the mattress made it very unappealing.

Rooms were large and clean. Very loud, though. I could hear every step the people upstairs took. The hot breakfast was good. They had melon, which is unusual for a hotel "free" breakfast, but for the high price of the room, you ought to get something extra. Summary - extremely pricey, especially for a crappy night's sleep.

The lobby and outside area are amazing. We had a room with a wet bar, two queen beds and a fold out couch. The room size was plenty big enough for 3 people. The room was very clean. We had little issues. For instance, the shower head was off center and the floor was completely wet after showering, even with the curtain closed. The hair dryer blew up after a few minutes of use. I originally booked the wrong Hampton Inn. Problem was rectified by the generosity and helpfulness of the staff. Room was great but there could have been a little better attention to detail, i.e., sloppy paint. Water pressure and temperature was horrible, but it finally kicked in and all was well. Large bathroom with large shower, but not enough shelves for shampoo, etc. All in all -- good stay, comfortable bed, pleasant staff.

First off I like the Hilton app for checking in and selecting a room. It is a very well maintained Hampton. Very busy as this is a tourist stop. If you want quiet be sure to get a room away from the courtyard where the pool is...noisy. We have stayed that this Inn many times over the years and always enjoy it. We have been able to book a balcony most every visit especially the past 4 or 5 years. It over looks the pool. After Hilton acquired the the Hampton name, they have scaled up the quality, lifting it from lower tier to a quality position (often top tier in larger cities). This property is an excellent value, the suite is huge and comfortable. We were in town for the Christmas parade during a cold rainy weekend so we did not take advantage of the nice outdoor patio nor did we use the breakfast amenity. Great coffee bar 24 hours.
