As a Hilton Diamond member, I receive the premium internet. This hotel has one of the worst connections available even on the Hilton Honors floor. My laptop and my phone both only show poor signal strength and the speed is almost unusable. The signal and speed was not much better in the lobby. I used the LTE connection on my phone instead. The breakfast used to be free. Now it is just the continential breakfast. The continential and full breakfast items are intermixed so it is hard to tel... Read more

Not a great experience....first of all the service needs much improvement. We not only had two hotels room booked but we also rented a small conference room for a few days and it seemed like anything we asked for anything like additional glasses for water, it was a problem. Don't ever ask for a cookie as you will have to prove that you are a hotel guest. The rooms needs overhauling as they are showing their age and in need of remodeling. The first day we asked if the room could be locked while... Read more

The room was great, breakfast...not so much, customer service could stand some improvements. I did not get the towels I requested nor did I get the complimentary breakfast that was supposed to come with my reservation. I was charged $16 and some change for Oikos yogurt, a blueberry muffin, 2 sausage links, and a small glass of cranberry juice.

Hotel was nice, location was great. Pool could have been cleaner and no hot tub, but the kids enjoyed it. We received good sevice, and it was a good value. There was what looked to be a coffee stain on the comforter but it was a stain not a recent spill. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for business. I chose this place for its walking path around the lake. The staff is friendly and the bartender especially is very nice. The hallways are definitely showing their age. The beds are comfy. The gym is 24 hours and is well suited. There is no restaurant or bar near the hotel within walking distance, which is disappointing but not their fault. The staff makes every effort to make your visit enjoyable, it just needs the owners to pony up for a renovation.

Very clean and well kept location. The only things I could see that could use some improvement is in the rooms. In my particular room it was in need of a few updates, but still it's a Hilton and a good hotel overall.

Not at all impressed by this property. Looks good on the outside but rooms are in dire need of renovation, and is that blood I see on the curtains? As a diamond member, I was not greeted nor given a decent room according to my profile. Comment was "housekeeping hasn't put any in our system yet," how about you get with housekeeping and take care of your customer! My request fell on deaf ears to not one but two front desk clerks. This is about to be a very nice place to stay, once they update the rooms. Location is the most important feature. The restaurant is simple with a limited menu which is easily exhausted within (3) day stay. The staff is friendly and motivated but may be undermanned. Rooms were clean but have a manual A/C controller making it difficult to maintain the comfortable temperature. At $169 rate it was not a good value for our company.

Traveled to Carrolton for Business. Chose this one as I believe it was a 4 star advisor. For the photos, the exterior looked renovated and interior rooms looked decent. However, upon check in the rooms were musty/old smelling, and the room was very outdated, think circa 1990. Bed was OK, but soft. No "pot-holes" so that was better than what I expected after I saw the room. Would not stay here again...I will say the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The guest rooms and eating areas are very nice and the service is good. The main disappointment was the fitness center. There is little to no airflow, the equipment is dirty, there is only one filthy floor mat, and the TVs either don't work or have few channels. This alone would make me choose another hotel since the fitness center is important to me as a frequent business traveler.

For a doubletree this is a pretty crappy hotel. I was hit with a strong stench of mold when I opened the door; so walked right back down to the lobby for a new room. The next room (527) was better at first and smelled like air freshener/cologne but it later wore off and smelled again. The bathroom smelled of mold so badly that every time I went in I had to cover my nose. There was no fan in there. Mold was visible in the corner of the room and on a wall picture. I asked for a room change but th... Read more

Our check in was extremely quick and painless along with the Walnut Cookie. We were given the exact room we booked for which was a plus! Although our TV did not work, the Front Desk Associate offered us complimentary breakfast vouches and points added to our HHonors account. Room location was quiet and the bed/pillows were soo comfy I did not want to get up.

This hotel is north of Dallas which I liked so I didn't have to deal with as much traffic. The hotel is set on a river that you can walk, run or bike along. The complimentary water in the lobby was refreshing and the service was great! Excellent value for the price.

Our check in was fast and easy. Once we arrived to our room everything looked nice and clean but as I inspected the room I started noticing a lot of dust. The worst part was the bathroom in our room, it was very very unsanitary. Their was mold growing on the shower walls. Also I had order a coffee in the morning and my order was taking to long. I called again and they told me my order was never placed. That day was a very special day, it was my wedding day and I expected a great stay and service... Read more

We stayed one night and we had a great time. It was convenient to where we wanted to go that evening and the hotel provided a ride to the Gas Money and they would of picked us up but we stayed out longer then 11. But over all great hotel and staff. I would definitely stay again and plus we got a lake view and it was so beautiful to watch the sun set.

Top notch stay. Hotel, staff, experience all top notch The hot breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen in a hotel. Friendliest staff ever! Anything we needed or asked for they helped us with a smile. The whole weekend was a success because of the hotel staff

I was recently stayed in this hotel twice. It's amid the growing Irving , which was once lagged behind the Dallas growing trend. The hotel room and dinning are adequate, the services are superb. In spite of the fact this hotel is not right next to any attraction, mall or airport. They do provide hourly shuttle to DFW and their drivers are all very friendly and helpful, I couldn't expect more. Like to return again if location is not crucial to me.

Comfortable, clean, good sized rooms. Those on south side face a park and lake. No restaurants within walking distance. Hotel restaurant has friendly service but limited selection. Two design issues with the hotel. Though it backs onto a park and lake, incredibly there's no direct door access from the hotel to the park. You have to walk all the way around the hotel to get into the park. Also, on the southwest side of the hotel there's a very noisy aircon unit at ground floor level which re... Read more

First the good-the staff was very polite, friendly, professional. The lobby was spotless. The room was clean. Now the bad-whoever did the tiling, wallpapering in the rooms should be fired-we had huge gaps in the wallpaper, crooked tiles. The smoking area was RIGHT outside the front door, so whenever we left the hotel, we had to walk through a haze of several cigarettes. The last concerns the wi-fi. I could rarely get wifi, but when I called tech support, they said it was my computer. My co... Read more

The rooms are still clean and comfortable like the previous visit over a year ago. The restaurant though, hasn't changed. The food is uninspired and overpriced for what you get. It's really not much better than cafeteria food. After seeing what other people ordered and looking at the menu, we chose to order something for delivery instead. Service was great from the front desk though. Very fast check-in now that you can do it via the app.

Staff was rude. I asked for a plate in my room. I was told I be charged 3$. I asked for a wine opener I was bounced around for 1 hour. I had to walk my bottle to bar to open my wine at 11:30pm. Guest services and front desk alike were rude. I stay at hiltons all over the world but this was BAD. I am extremely disappointed with Doubletree Farmers Branch location on Luna Rd. BAD SERVICE.

The hotel is very convenient to the DFW airport and with great access to the Farmers Branch and Irving area. They offer a shuttle to the surrounding area and that works great. Having to go to the Irving Convention Center and having the convenience of being taken there and then picked up by calling and setting it up is a great plus. I recently stayed at the DoubleTree in Farmers Branch, TX outside of Dallas. What a super nice hotel, easy to find off the highway. My room was located on the lake, which was nice view with parts of the city in the distance. I traveled to Dallas for a few days and then on to Austin for the Formula 1 race. I stayed in Dallas because the price was way better and I was flying out of there. I would definitely be back in the future if needed. The Formula 1 race was a blast and so wasn't Taylor Swift.... This was a nice hotel with a beautiful view. We had a lake view balcony room on the 5th floor. The sunset over the lake was gorgeous. If you choose lake view, however, try to get on the upper floors. The view of the water from the lower floors would be hampered by the trees.

The best way to set the tone for a stay, especially when traveling for work, is how one is greeted by the front desk. This hotel, and Richael, has this perfected to a tee!!! She is the very best. And I mean BEST. She is kind and thoughtful and welcomes every guest with a sense that she is so very happy you are there!! She's the face of the hotel. Should be the face of the brand!!!

Outer suburban location. Close to airport. Stayed here to attend a conference next door at the Omni Park West. Very well-maintained and quiet property with outstanding customer service. Very clean. Comfortable beds. A little tired decor, could use a bit of a facelift. My tub didn't drain, took two phone calls to resolve the issue but they did take care of it. Very nice front office staff, extremely pleasant and went out of their way to greet each customer.

I don't usually stay at this hotel as it is considerably more expensive than the nearby Hilton Garden Inn, but as that hotel was booked up, I stayed at the Doubletree. Not nearly worth the money. Rooms are old and shabby. Wallpaper was peeling, no fridge, room fan is either on or off, hot or cold. It can't be regulated. The walls are thin and even my neighbor watching tv kept me up all night.
