The Adolphus has always been our favorite hotel in Dallas. We loved the vintage feel of the rooms, lobby and French Room. On our recent stay for our anniversary, we were VERY disappointed at the room remodels! They are now completely modern and we can stay at any hotel with the same decor! The lobby and French Room were still closed during our visit but if the room remodels are any indication of what they will look like then this remodel has ruined the historical integrity of the hotel! VERY di... Read more

So, I was staying at the Adolphus for a nearby wedding. I had requested early check-in and was told yes. I had to keep calling the front desk to get a follow-up on when my room would be ready. I was told 1pm, then 2pm, and before you know it, it was 3pm and time for regular check-in and my room still wasn't ready. I had made my reservation months pior. The room was nice but nothing to go on and on about. I appreciated the mini fridge in the room. The lobby was under sever reconstruction and w... Read more

First off, I am writing this review while sitting in a deluxe king room at the Adolphus. My company spent over $1100 for me to stay here while on a business trip to Dallas. Door staff, concierge and town car driver were all top notch. The rooms are very nice and despite the active renovating I can see that this is an upscale motel used by many business travelers. Unfortunately the housekeeping staff is very lackluster. After the first night I immediately started leaving notes requesting extra wa... Read more

The lobby floor was being torn up when I checked in last night. There was no bellman to assist up a huge flight of stairs and the banging in the lobby kept me up all night AND jostled all the dresser drawers open. I felt lucky to be in a renovated room. Sadly, however, the renovated areas are like a Hyatt Express -- very clean and very cheaply done. I weep for the Adolphus of old.

Located smack in town, this place oozes old style Texan charm with its grand entrance. It's undergoing huge renovations as we arrived but what we can see in the renovations so far is impressive. We were given an upgrade to a suite on arrival and the rooms are just gorgeous with comfy beds (really appreciated after a 17 hr flight!). The service so far has been outstanding.

We stayed at the Adolphus to attend the Cottonbowl. Our team did not win but it was a great game. The Adolphus lobby was under construction, I can't wait to see how beautiful it is will be once completed. The rooms are nice. The pool is beautiful, as is the fire pit at night. The exercise area is well planned and well used. The staff was incredible! Very nice and very helpful!

Bored from Trip advisor, I'm happy with the facility. Only reason for 4?? is the huge lobby remodel underway. Which is only obtrusive while in the actual lobby. The $28 a day parking is ridiculous but they offer a concierge hotel car so you don't have to drive your own. (Going to experience that this evening) Relatively easy to access location just a few blocks off the interstate just past one way streets. The lobby/valet pull up isn't currently identified and made for a slightly confusing f... Read more

I wish we had been able to stay in Dallas more than one night. This hotel was perfect. The rooms were done beautifully. The beds were comfortable. We loved the pool and lounge area which was also recently redone. It was a bit chilly outside so they had a gas fireplace going. We loved the food and drinks at the restaurant in the lobby. It is convenient to the art museums, the Perot science museum and JFK memorial and Dealy Plaza. I will be back.

The Adolphus was being renovated during our stay (4 days). She is a lovely hotel, and I would love to see the renovations completed - that said the building work didn't really impact on us. The lifts were working, and there was no noise. The staff are friendly and helpful (perhaps too helpful at times as there are often many many doormen and you have to fight your way out).

I have stayed here before and had a first rate experience. This time, not so much. Although our room was very nice and clean, the hotel is undergoing renovations and there are currently very limited social areas in which to lounge or hang out with friends. In addition, upon check-in, we were told someone would bring our luggage right up to our room. We were the only people checking in so we thought it would be fairly quick. Not so. We waited about 20 minutes in our room and finally just went dow... Read more
