Good location, clean, refrigerator, micro, cookies in evening, nice staff. The free (not normal for a downtown hotel) breakfast was the usual high carb, nothing fantastic but it was there. I usually reserve a 5 rating for only the best or one that is a 4 but does something extra for me. However, for a downtown hotel, which are notorious for lacking a frig and microwave, this one surprised me with both. It was a king suite so it was roomy. There was a couch that made into a bed. Was here on business for a convention. Great service , good breakfast, weight room and small outdoor pool. Room was very clean. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Has valet parking and staff is very accommodating.

This place is good in that it is close to the Dallas World Aquarium (which we loved visiting) and the Perot Museum (which is an outstanding place) so that is why we stayed here. I can say that the location was perfect for that. I did have good encounters with most of the employees, particularly the Valet employees and the shuttle driver... the staff there at the front desk during the day were very helpful too. I was disappointed that the pool was closed for cleaning for our entire stay of... Read more

The hotel has a very location and is algo very fine. They serve a traditional american breakfast (does not have many options, but it is ok), the rooms are big and very clean and the staff is very kind. The hotel is near to good restaurants such as YO Ranch Steakhouse and Dallas Acquarium.

We stayed for 1 night on our roadtrip, have used springhill suites before, so knew what to expect, arrived in Dallas early, so did all the JFK bit before checking into hotel, the hotel is easy to find and used the valet parking for ease, room was up to expectations and very clean, prior to arriving in Dallas we had booked a table at Y.O steakhouse which was only a 5 min walk, would recommend this restaurant, very good, hotel breakfast was included and also good with plenty of choice.

Have stayed here numerous times (over 15 nights this year) and over 1000 at Marriott properties in total. Unfortunately, more "little" issues here. Last stay this week was breaking point. Rooms not ready when promised, then they finally give me room key and other person not checked out, no wake up call when promised, refused to move my room after put in front of Elevator and low floor in front of busy street, did not log cab for pickup when needed, room rate was wrong and higher then reser... I had 3 king suites booked on the top floor. Waited 2 hours in the lobby for the rooms. I had requested when I made the reservations for a 1pm check-in, ,Meka had told me no problem. The front desk clerk was rude. The pool was dirty. Breakfast wa. s the worst ,no forks, eggs in the chafing dish tasted like liquid eggs that had been baked, and the link sausage w2as still raw.I

I stayed here with my husband and our friends while in town for a convention. Pros: the room was clean, breakfast was pretty good, and it was a 15 minute walk to the convention center. It was also not a bad price given that it's downtown. Cons: I could hear almost everything! The walls are thin, thus I could hear people in other rooms, the hallway, toilets flushing, and noisy kids throughout our stay. There is also no free parking at this location. (They have valet parking on site only). We pa... Read more

I want to start out by telling the good things about our stay at this hotel over the Memorial Day Weekend. I am a Marriott Gold member. The front desk staff was great. They welcomed me with such enthusiasm and thanked me for being a gold member. I used some points for a few of my nights. We came in a little late but that was not a problem. They checked me right in and made me feel welcome. I have stayed at SpringHill's before. So this is a mid grade hotel. The location was really good if you wa... Read more

Even though I booked this hotel with points from Marriott, it was a nice place to stay and easy to jump on the highway to travel around the city. Lots of homeless people and vagrants around the area though, so be careful when walking the city alone. The hotel staff were nice and they do have free breakfast in the morning and coffee available 24 hrs a day. If you don't have to stay in the city though, I would go a little more north towards Plano or even the Uptown part of Dallas.

The place just feels run down despite a very nice lobby. The carpeting was worn and my coworker said it smelled like piss near his room. When I entered my room I got a big smell of what I can only describe as "gym locker". It just felt dank and unclean. The door to the bathroom/shower was frayed and discolored at the bottom. The tv didn't work at first. I called to complain to the front desk and the lady told me that it sometimes gets unplugged when the cleaning crew comes through and I wo... Read more

Stayed for a little over a week on business. Highlights: Super friendly staff at the front desk, helpful when I needed to change rooms. Overall comfortable room, felt fairly much like home. Great shower. Onsite laundry and workout room where also good. Lowlights: Breakfast...same thing every day. Got extremely boring after a few days. And what's with only breaking out the waffle maker on the weekends? Every other property in the franchise I've been to has that every day. Also, the beds were w... Read more

Pretty nice hotel, stayed here two years in a row. They have a shuttle if you are lucky enough to get to it. We took it to work each morning. There is a nice breakfast area. The hotel was warm and inviting serving hot chocolate and marshmallows when it was cold out. The staff was friendly. The rooms were nice.

A friend and I spent a lovely Fourth of July holiday at the Springhill Suites/ Dallas West End. We experienced a friendly staff as well as clean, roomy accommodations. Gabby and Henry were especially pleasant & helpful during our stay. The location of the hotel is great for spending time downtown. And, it's a short walk to the DART light rail if you want to get around without driving. We were out at all times of the day and night and never felt unsafe. The only thing I would suggest improvement ... Read more

Need to be at the West End? This is a good place to be. An older property, room was clean and the bed was in good shape. Sheets didn't quite fit the bed, but nothing that didn't affect sleep - just a detail that would improve. Hotel staff mentioned the amenities floor with pool and breakfast at check-in, although the pool deck was not open during my stay. Working modern machines in the workout area and the complimentary breakfast was the standard fare of eggs, sausage and waffles - but the ... Read more

Our room was clean and cool. It was 106 degrees outside. The decor is very Texas like. The staff was courteous and eager to help us. They recommended places to go see and places to eat all within waking distance from the hotel. The breakfast was ok. The cookies and lemonade and complimentary coffee were on point. Parking was odd. We had to park across the street in a lot. But it was safe and our car was secure. This hotel is across from the Dallas world aquarium. I highly recommend it๐?... Read more

Room was ok sofa pretty worn and old bed a little lumpy..very disappointed pool was closed 103 out and no pool would have been nice if there was a secure lot for parking that was free or less than 24 bucks for valet was ridiculous. Daytime areas access ok but night time is very scary not enough lighting around building.

Spent one night. Valet parking is $24 per day. Room was fine although not as nice as the Springhill in Waco. Staff was very helpful and nice. We were able to get an early check in which was very helpful. Would recommend if you are looking for a place in that area of Dallas.

Found this hotel to be well situated for walking to historic sites in downtown Dallas. Ten story building, small lobby, parking is across street or has valet parking. Front desk is very helpful with advice, restaurants and all that. Hotel rooms were decent size, very comfortable.

The hotel is your typical SpringHill Suites. It was clean, beds comfortable and the staff was friendly. I was a bit irritated that even though I had checked in online 16 hours in advance of my arrival, when I arrived my choices were a room next to the elevator or a handicapped room. I took the handicapped room. Marriott goes way out of their way to encourage people to check in with the Marriott app. As a gold elite member of Marriott, I expect that when I check in 16 hours in advance I'm not goi... We picked this hotel because of proximity to the Sixth Floor Museum. For that purpose, it was excellent. For almost all other purposes, it struggled. Let's start with our check-in, which came around 10 p.m. Front desk clerk was very helpful and our reservation was ready as booked. Great start! Until, that is, we arrived in our two connecting rooms. One room had no pillows and a giant wet spot on the floor. The other room's bathroom had evidently not been cleaned from the last guest and had ha... Read more
