First of all, I'm a realist and a you-get-what-you-pay-for consumer. I realize that websites talk big because they're selling the room, but that the price usually tells you anything you need to know. I booked a double non-smoking room through Travelocity and given that this was Dallas and given the price, I was expecting and preparing for this to be a minimal room that was maybe even a little down in the dumps, unclean, or roached. They gave us an upstairs room overlooking a small but clean pool... Read more

Not Recommended due to Hookers in the Parking Lot. Bathroom was 50's vintage. Excessive noise from traffic due to close prox to freeway. Breakfast was OK but the fruit was extremely green not ripe at all.

1st room has a roach problem. 2n room was moldy and door to room was not as secure as I like. It's amazing that 1st week the room average price was $94. The next week it was $100 for 3 days. Friday and Saturday it went to $170. They claim rates change everyday and the price is based on when you book it. They knew I was there for family medical emergency.

My friends and I use this hotel every time we come to Dallas, which is several times a year. It's always nice and clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Especially Nicole and Essence, thank you! Usually I'm one of the tag-a-longs but this trip I booked my own room. Had an issue with my booking, due to a website error and an oversight on my part, and Customer Service had me fixed up with no fuss and saved my trip. My only issue was not wanting to get out of the comfy bed to check out... Read more

Staff was okay, this location needs a remodel. The first morning woke up to a huge bug in the restroom. The second morning woke up to two huge bugs in the restroom. Then while waiting, for something to be done about it a spider crawls across the bed!

I usually stay at this hotel when visiting Dallas. Aside from the problem this last time with the shower curtain being too short and the curtain itself blowing all over me while showering, it's a nice place to stay.

A/C unit was not working properly. It was set to 69 when we checked into the room, but the room was not cool. It was only cool if you stood in front of the blower. The manager came to the room and said the room was cool. When I suggested that he get a thermometer, he bumped the thermostat down to 62 and said the room should cool down. We went to bed and sometime during the night, the room cooled somewhat, but with the thermostat set that low, we should have been very cold! Not happy with t... Read more

Huge security issue with booking. Bees in the hallways. Brown bananas for breakfast. Breakfast is also just cereal, waffles, muffins, coffee, juice, yogurt, bananas. Would have liked that to have been clarified because I was expecting something else.

The room was very comfortable. But the cleaning was terrible. When arriving I found toilet tissue in the toilet. And garbage on the bathroom sink. Not what you expect. The location of the hotel was great though. Nice bars and restaurants on walking distance.

Whether staying at La Quinta Inns for business or pleasure, the value is good for the price range. Differences exist between sites in terms of personal preferences for location and services and breakfasts, but overall La Quinta sets the stage for the staff who are personable and efficient. I can always count on a clean, efficient and courteous experience. Thank you, La Quinta!

An old property. Way overpriced. Dingy, outdated bathrooms, infested by bugs. They offered to move us to another room--it too, had bugs. Then another one--it was full of cigarette smoke from the smoking room upstairs. Then the manager offered to reduce our rate if we would stay. We stayed, but they did not reduce our rate. The manager lied and made sure she wasn't around or reachable the night before or the morning we checked out. They made me pay full price for this substandard property. Do not... Read more

I stayed two nights at this LaQuinta over a weekend based off of the other reviews, which were surprisingly inaccurate from my experience. I am a frequent traveler for business and stay at barious hotel chains, but this travel was for pleasure. Here are the pros and cons for how the 2 star rating was determined: Cons: Dirty! The room is the dirtiest hotel room I have been in. There was a long hair on one bed, small dark hairs on one pillow, makeup stain on another pillow, the other bed had a ... Read more

The room was nice and clean with the air conditioner on to have it nice and cool when we arrived. Granted this is a great location, I don't want to have to worry about roaches crawling into our bags, beds, etc. I understand this is tx and there are roaches pretty much everywhere; however, they shouldn't be in our hotels, restaurants, etc. Just disgusting. We chose this hotel since it was closest to the Granada venue for a fair price. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and clean. The only problem we had is we were next to a room that had a dog. The dog constantly barked and kept us up. I think if guests bring pets they should designate an area for all guests with pets to be together.

I tried to check in tonight, and the man at the front desk asked me to wait. He was apparently teaching someone how to perform a procedure. This continued for over a minute, where there were no other customers around. Frustrated at the lack of consideration for a paying customer, I asked if his intent was to help me, or to continue to perform bookkeeping tasks, secondary to doing business with customers. He indicated that I could leave, rather than to change his course and assist me. Floored, ... Read more

Completely disinterested staff. Wouldn't check me in until 3pm even though all the cleaning staff stopped to have a communal lunch at the table next to me. Had to hang around for two hours but was offered a room which had no wifi. Reception didn't know the Dallas area so couldn't direct me to the Dallas Ciwboys Stadium. Rooms basic, no gym (although it was cheap to be fair). I have stayed at other La Qunita (San Antonio ) and it was very good. This not so much.

we like to stay at this particular location because it is literally down the street from Grandmas house. Jerry went above and beyond to dumpster dive and get my medication. However the roaches in the room will ruin a good thing, this location is in an upper class neighborhood so you cant blame them and bugs will surely get you ran off so please take care of the problem asap! We enjoy staying there when we go see family.

I've been here a few times before because of the location to Henderson Street. This is an old LQ and as it goes you try not to judge the exterior. I had a very defective door lock/reader and submitted a maintenance request but never heard back from the front desk about it. I also had shower and toilet plumbing issues in the room. Not a good experience when you have baby roaches in the bathroom tub and sink area. The entry door did not close completely...there was an opening at the bottom allowing little critters to enter, possibly a baby snake. EXTERMINATION is needed quickly!!! Had planned to stay the whole weekend, only stayed one night. I will never stay there again. The State Fair was Great! Denny's next door was great!

So the facility itself looks okay. Yes it's dated and they've done some remodeling, the there is a lot of original stuff still present that kills the overall appeal. The beds are maybe a full and that means my wife and I couldn't sleep next to each other. The beds are comfortable though. The room door literally needs to be slammed shut and so do others down the breezeway, which means you'll be hearing slamming doors through your stay. I would probably not stay here again because of the condition of the rooms and exterior/parking area. However, the front desk staff person was one of the finest professionals I have ever had the pleasure to meet....and that's saying a lot, since I travel for a living. I wish all front desk personnel were as helpful and customer service oriented as she was. while helping get our two rooms on the ground floor and close together. Quite a problem solver.
