I stayed here for one night in April 2016, they have a conference on, and this seem to take over the place. There is dark wood panels everywhere, which makes the place feel very tired and old. It is clean the breakfast was ok having a buffet and al carte. There is nothing that would bring me back to the place but it wasn't awful either.

This is a good location directly on the North Dallas Tollway. Older hotel, but generally in good condition. There is a club room for members, which always has a good spread of appetizers and drinks in the afternoon, and a very good continental breakfast in the morning. We stay here when possible (in other words, when the price is right) when visiting Dallas on business. We were allowed a very late checkout with no hassles. All we did was ask. Room was cleaner than other hotels we've stayed in previously. Food smells drive us crazy but this has never been a problem. Only small complaint is that the staff aren't particularly friendly and wifi is slow unless you pay for speeding it up.

Nothing to complain about. Free self parking easy and close. Check in and out super fast. All requested preferences met. Quiet room. We were given fifth floor lounge access. Had a broken luggage rack in the room. When I called the front desk, housekeeping showed up immediately with a new one. This was an easy and painless experience. Also, this hotel has tons of restaurants nearby.

I was here only for a conference so I can't comment on the rooms this time around. I do think this is a great place for a conference since the rooms are large and comfortable. I would like it if there were more restaurants in the hotel so I wouldn't have to leave. There is only 1 restaurant I think and then a Starbucks.

Lobby is beautiful. Rooms are very spacious. My husband is a spire ambassador so we were upgraded to an executive suite on the club floor. Bi level room which could be spectacular with a little updating. Furniture, draperies, etc look late 80s. Club room only serves cheap wine and beer and very little in the way of snacks for evening happy hour. Pool area really needs updating. We always stay at IHG properties. Have stayed here before. Staff is very nice. Rooms are spacious and in very good condition. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Also this may sound odd but there are plenty of elevators and they are fast. I hate standing around waiting on elevators. They have many conference rooms and meeting rooms. Overall, my experience at the InterContinental Dallas was good. Check-in was seemingly smooth and my room had been upgraded due to my status as an IHG Gold Ambassador. The bi-level suite I was assigned was very clean and was generally very comfortable. We stayed for two nights in this beautiful hotel. It is a grand hotel with a beautiful entry way and ball room. High ceilings and beautiful floors welcome you as you walk in. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. This hotel was clearly designed for meetings and conferences. And the meeting and public spaces are still very nice. The hotel makes a powerful impression when you walk into the lobby. Stayed here overnight for a conference. Parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE! Choices are valet, garage (with signs indicting no in and out, seriously crazy), or free parking in the lot assuming you can find a spot. In your room the mini bar fridge is locked and you have keep your credit card as deposit in order to give you the key of the fridge. Compare to other hotels in the world this is really uncomfortable. Front desk staff and main restaurant not humble, no warm greetings and they are not helpfull. It just hotel staff working to finish their duty hours and they are looking on how to get tips from guests. How you can get tips of there is no hospitality skills.

I enjoyed my stay here this week. It is slightly outdated though. The hotel is nearing being ready for an update. The gym was well equipped, but it was in the basement and a little small. So terribly disapointed. Stood in line for 45 minutes to check in at 4:00pm. Said room would be ready at 6:00. We were able to go to our room at 7:45. Missed part of Kaboom town festival. Air conditioning not working in Sr management available for staff support. Took 10 minutes to get voucher for parking garage. We should of asked for comped room not $10 voucher for garage. No air in friends room. Peeling wallpaper in bath room. Would not recommend this hotel.

We booked to stay at the hotel during KaboomTown. On the plus side, the rates were very good - and being an Intercontinental brand I expected a certain level. I accompanied a friend who was attending a conference at this hotel. The hotel itself is fine, except every time we wanted to go somewhere it involved a $30+ cab fare. The hotel offer a complimentary shuttle, but that only serves a 3 mile radius (basically the Galleria shopping mall). Very nice room and the best beds and pillows I've ever slept on. Only complaints I have is when we valeted the first night they didn't lock up our vehicle and so they gave us free breakfast which we didn't use and they billed us but, we didn't use the coupons so at check out we gave them back and the lady at the front desk credited us back and that was good. The other complain is they don't have a refrigerator.

Conference hotel has a few issues with air conditioning leaks through the ceilings in common areas and musty smells in rooms from the air conditioning vents. Rooms are comfortable except for the smell. Pool was lovely, staff very helpful, food was mediocre. Loved the hospitality floor...very nice and comfortable. Ask for the complimentary breakfast buffet if your company is part of the hotels discount program. All my other colleagues didn't have such a great breakfast at other surrounding hotels. They offer free shuttles to near by office buildings that was a huge plus for me. Very good place to stay for business, I will always pick this hotel for any conference.

I stayed in this hotel for a convention. The rooms are clean but this hotel is not good for Conventions or Conferences where many people gather. There is only one escalator and elevator from the second floor where the conference room is. After the meeting it takes literally an hour to get to the first floor and there is not much place to congregate also

If this were one of the lower end chains, I would not have much to complain about. But this is an Intercontinental, not inexpensive and the flagship for the company. Horrible experience here. My family and I stayed 2 nights and 3 days for a National American Miss Pageant. Elevators were slow, 40 minute wait time. Escalator from the lobby to the ballroom floor didn't work. Air conditioning didn't work throughout the hotel. Employees were rude in the coffee shop and at the valet. When I booked this hotel I was hoping for a modern feeling stay and I really got a hotel sort of stuck in the past decade or even previous decade. The hotel staff was rude.. air conditioning did not work .sitting there in and day out for 3 days and sweating was not ideal. The elevator and escalator were broke or not running very well. We stay here every year for NAM. This is my first review. Pros: The rooms are nice. The beds are comfy. The housekeepers are very thorough and service is great. Convenient location near many restaurants. Cons: No fridge or microwave in the room causing you to have to eat out every meal. Would recommend.

I stayed at this hotel last month while working in the area. I extended my stay so I could go golfing over the weekend. The hotel does feel dated. I recently attended a large (1400 people) 4 day conference at the InterContinental Dallas and over all it was good. Check-in staff were very good and the banquet food was above average. The rooms although dated are nice for the price. Our room air worked well. It was July in Dallas and over 100 outside. We went to a Gala last week. This has to be the worst place to hold any kind of event in the ballroom. It was so so so cold. It smelled like mold. The decor is so old and the food was horrible. I hope I never ever have to attend another event at this location. Also this hotel has a reputation for working girls.

Beautiful and comfy. The hotel is great for activities in general and conventions. The 2 floor room is AWESOME and with a great view. VIP lounge is nice peaceful and also offers variety of fruits and other stuff for you to munch. The hotel is very good and suitable for business stay or conference arrangements. The rooms are pretty decent for this purpose and staff is good and helpful. Where the hotel is lacking a bit is infrastructure. Slow and faulty lifts or elevators like the locals would say, that can drive you mad. This is a traditional business type hotel, older but nicely maintained. It has large conference spaces and is located in a corporate area. It's good for business meetings like I am attending, but maybe not for a pleasure stay. The decor is updated and elegant on the main lobby floor. The rooms are traditional with nice wood furniture. This is a great hotel with exceptional weight staff. Enjoyed my stay. It was interesting at breakfast though when the waiter was demanding of our breakfast coupons right in the middle of my eating breakfast instead of collecting them at the end of the meal as the other waiters had done. It was a bit rude, but that is my only complaint and I will still go back. Anyone can have a bad day.

Came to the Intercontinental for a conference but stayed just down the road at a Hilton property and I am glad that I did. Many problems at the convention and stories of people that did stay here, bathrooms unavailable and more I would not stay here in the future. Other good options in the area. Place looks nice to the eye but very old and tired in the day to day things.

The hotel was great and centrally located. They easily held the luggage on both ends of the trips due to flights being so early and late in the day. The only down side was due to an early flight it was after checkin time before we was able to get a room. I can understand part of this was due to a conference checking in and solid booking the night before. Overall the stay was great and convenient.

Every year, my company holds their annual sales meeting at a hotel in the Dallas area. It is usually a great experience at a great hotel. The lobby and main area are great!!!! The room is another ball game. The shower is mediocre; it also had strands of hair on the wall. The floor was soaked. Having stayed several times at this Hotel near my company's corporate office, I have become quite fond of it. Particularly the level of service is always outstanding. They have done a great job keeping up with the lobby and convention areas. They totally forgot to update the rooms. Two twin beds, old stained carpet, old-school bathtub. It's old, man! I felt like I walked into a nice place, until I got to my room. Super disappointed! Friendly staff, good maid service. But, man! Those rooms!!! :(

This property is located in Addison, a great suburb of Dallas. It is within 2 miles of the Dallas Galleria, it is walking distance to great dining, and is located within a predominantly business area.. After reading mixed reviews, my wife and I took the plunge. Stayed here for e conference and it was well suited for this purpose. Good area with lots of dining options close by. Front office staff and concierge were nice and friendly. The hotel itself is showing its age. My room was clean and amenities nice but several of my colleagues reported mildew in rooms.

I stayed recently for 3 days in here. Staff in front desk, concierge and housekeeping are extremely lazy. I asked for my complimentary bottles of water. Received it after 3 hrs. They provide free shuttle service. Where as half of the time they'll say after 30 mins or 40 mins. I saw staff sitting in concierge desk listening to music and playing games on his phone. No turn down service, no cleaning.. I am extremely disappointed with my stay. I will tell my friends too not to stay here

I stayed here for a 3 day business conference. My room was large, fairly clean except for trash in the garbage can from the previous guests. I had problems with my a/c and the staff was quick to come and fix it. I did not hear much outside/hallway noise, quiet room, comfortable bed. The main complaint I have would be regarding the water temperature for my showers. It never got past the 'luke warm' feel, even when the knob was turned all the way up. I was here for the ICMI conference with my company. My watch was STOLEN from my room, so I am leaving a 1 star review. I reported it stolen to security and they said they would report it to the police, but I??ve seen no proof that they have reported it. I??m not happy with the way it was handled. The hotel offered no type of restitution for my stolen watch. It??s a very sad situation. I do not recommend staying here, but should you need to, LOCK YOUR STUFF UP. What a shame.

Clean, well appointed, very helpful & polite staff; ate at restaurants a couple of times and food was good quality and well-prepared. Can't comment on rack rate because it was business trip with corporate rate, but well worth what I paid. Would return without hesitation and recommend. My trips were in January, April and September 2015, but those options were not available in field below.

Scenic Dallas has nothing on the Intercontinental Hotel in Dallas. Price is more than reasonable and the staff exceptional, makes you feel at home immediately. The ambiance and feel of the place is very comforting and the Hotel amenities exceptional. I have to give a shout out to the valet/courtesy shuttle drivers. They were professional yet personable. Times sometimes ran long but for the volume they were handling they did an excellent job - thank you Alex. Front desk and concierge folks were very quick to help meet my needs. I will say the hotel is showing its age and the food at the bar was adequate (better to go across the street to In N Out). Overall I am leaving with good feelings.

Location of hotel in near a lot of restaurants and shopping. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff is helpful and personable. I wish rooms had refrigerators as meal portions locally were large and it would have been nice to bring back food. It is in a nice area so running outside was enjoyable. The workout room was clean and had a range of machines. The conference meals were delicious.

The entrance and lobby of this hotel are lovely to view. The floors are a little slick so be careful what footwear you put on. I was placed in a room on the 5th floor, my friend was placed on a room on the 10th floor. Both smelled like mold and had a mixture of updated and old furnishings and decor and both bathrooms had tubs that didn't drain well and mirrors that don't defrost quickly after a shower. This hotel has a beautiful lobby and bar area. It is close to the Belt Line and more restaurants you could ever imagine. There's also a nice walking path and gorgeous park in Addison. Nice spacious rooms and bathrooms. We stayed on the Club love and had access to complimentary breakfast and early evening drinks and nibbles. Attending a national conference at Intercontinental Dallas. it can be a little tricky getting to depending on the direction you are coming from. Free parking lot with limited spaces. Garage parking for $10 each time you enter. Valet available. Rooms are nice and clean, but no fridge or microwave. Staff was friendly but check in took an inordinate amount of time. This is my 6th time staying here. Rooms are nice, price is great for location and conference rooms work perfect. Only drawback is the small pillows in the rooms. Staff is friendly and always accommodating. Close to restaurants.

I stayed at the InterContinental Dallas for a conference, and I did NOT have a very good experience. Pros: - I was initially given an accessible room. When I requested a change to a non-accessible room, the staff was very accommodating and quickly honored my request. - The provided toiletries are quite nice. - A recycling bin was available in my room. I'm pretty sure the hotel has been updated in the last 5 years or less. The room was very nice, excellent bathroom and shower. Everything was very clean. Staff was all very nice and helpful. This is the second wedding I've attended here but first time staying overnight. Good value too.

I attended a convention and stayed at the hotel for four days. The conference space worked very well, and the room was excellent. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do in Dallas.

First, check in was a disaster. We were not able to understand the clerk and had a difficult time conveying our needs to her for a 2 bed room.
