With some of Dallas' most prestigious and expensive hotels just across the road, Za Za has to shine particularly brightly to stand out. This it manages with apparent effortless ease through a blend of Texan style and friendly, but never intrusive, service. Definitely my hotel of choice in Dallas. Well done y'all!

Back before boutique, "design" hotels were en vogue, ZaZa set the standard for Dallas cool. Now they're commonplace, and this one seems to have lost its mojo. On this visit (I haven't been here in about five years), was markedly disappointed with the experience: Rooms are still nice and large and bed is great, but we were awoken to construction each morning in the room above us. Also the hot and cold water were reversed in the shower and the sink was clogged. Signs of deferred maintenance and ... Read more

The suites are indelible but extremely expensive - The hotel itself will serve as one of the most memorable experiences. The spa is small but has awesome technicians. The Pool scene and bar scene are two of the most hopping in all of Dallas. The full time residents must invite every beautiful person they know to hang out with them at the pool and within 15 minutes of my hanging around with the bouncer on a sat night- I must have experienced at least 40 people come and go !

We have stayed at the ZaZa for several years and it is one of our favorites. The hotel has a lot of charm and the service has always been good. Located just a few blocks north of downtown, the hotel is in a great location for food and fun. We enjoy going to the Mavs games and the ZaZa is more than happy to make their high end shuttle available. The rooms are all different, so be sure to check them out on the website. This was a quick business trip for me. In late and out early. The room was fabulous and comfortable. They were kind enough to upgrade me because the hotel was quiet. Room service was delicious and delivered speedily. All staff members were efficient and lovely. Checkout was a breeze. ZaZa is now my Dallas home!

Imagine staying at the Ritz Carlton in terms of hotel amenities and service, but it has a little more pizazz. They have a great bar and restaurant fit for foodies, A personal driver service to get you around town, and a pool that somehow always looks like there is a party happening. Plus, this hotel is right in the heart of where you'll find lots of great restaurants and bars, not far from some high end shopping either. The location is great, But the service was unacceptable. I had asked the front desk for a set of towels, that were never replaced by housekeeping, and then never brought to my room. I stayed for three nights, and NEVER received fresh towels. Also... When I communicated that i never received the towels, the front desk agent, younger with long brownish black hair, was very rude and short. Stating that she new about the towels and they would be up. From the moment we stepped out of the vehicle, we received a warm welcome from the valet/bell staff. Service and food at Dragonfly was exceptional, beds divine and certainly the most amazing pillows ever. Great, albeit, short stay!

All top hotels we've been at, have a gift shop, some really good. Service is lacking a little too. Worst of all,for a supposed top hotel, the mattress absolutely was SUB-PAR. ... I don't understand how this place gets such good reviews. You have to be quite wealthy if you want to stay there. Our room was $350/night. It was very small and plain jane. Definitely not worth the price. The outside is beautiful as well as the lobby but the remainder of the hotel was just ok. The rooms are elegantly and interestingly decorated and the concierge service is very good. We had a fabulous time, all of our rooms were well-appointed and two of our group reservations were placed in concept suites. We had the Opium room and it was really creatively designed. The Metropolitan suite was also very snazzy. The group did bottle service on Saturday night and we had an absolute blast! Room service at 3am for our hungry group only took 20 minutes and was tasty. We arrived early before our designated check in time and our room was already ready for us! The pool scene at this hotel is the best in Dallas-both in the afternoon and at night! The service at this hotel is outstanding! I will absolutely stay at this hotel again the next time I am in Dallas. Their restaurant, Dragonfly, serves a very nice breakfast as well. The staff at this hotel is the friendliest I have ever encountered in a hotel in the US!

We drove our daughter and son-in-law's car after they moved to Dallas and stayed at Hotel Zaza a couple of days to enjoy the city. What a great place! All of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean with a very comfortable bed. The Dragonfly restaurant located on the premises was outstanding. The cocktails were excellent and the food, outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive without being push. Located in Uptown we were able to walk downtown ... Read more

This property has such a wonderful service-oriented happy feel that you can actually feel great at the end of a business meeting! The restaurant is wonderful and the accommodations are very comfortable. I had a suite with two king beds...made me feel "regal"! Great location to the really cool part of Dallas. Very close to Love field. Overall a wonderful experience.

My husband and I were so excited to stay here on our wedding night. We forked over a good amount for one of the concept suites, so we really thought it was going to be perfect. When we arrived after our wedding, it took them 15 minutes before they took us to our room, leaving us awkwardly sitting in the lobby. When we got to the room all was well. However.. when we woke up there were ants crawling all over our bed and in our sheets! My husband had 10-15 bites on his legs and back. We immediately... Read more

The most unique, refreshing, exotic experience I have had in a very long time. Believe me, I travel a lot around the world, yet I have not anticipated experiencing an unforgettable stay in this boutique hotel in Dallas. Everything is memorable: beautiful photography on the hallways and the lobby, sculptures (extremely unique), rooms with such a personal touch (and a balcony!), a cute oasis provided by the outside pool; excellent restaurant.... and not the least, the amazing folks working there (... Visited Dragonfly for a girls night out and absolutely loved it! The staff is the friendliest and will always go above and beyond to give you 5-star treatment. From the moment valet greets you until you leave, the customer service and whole atmosphere is top notch. Also, the menu has seasonal changes in their food and drinks so there's always something new to try. Would highly recommend Dragonfly for a fun night out, and the location makes it easy to get anywhere in uptown.

Firstly- we made a mistake by selecting Hotel ZAZA for a 5 day business trip... The room lighting are designed for anything but checking emails or working on files. Your neighbors can turn out to be hosts of a rowdy "bachelor party" as was in my case- a surrounding that certainly doesn't work when you have a 5am production crew call. And the hotel seems to be the host of a weekly Pool party. Seemingly all the above are normal at Hotel ZAZA- so lesson learnt for booking it for a business trip. ... Read more

Right in the middle of Uptown Dallas, with a great cocktail bar, outdoor swimming pool/bar area that's used as a cocktail bar for nightlife and a really good restaurant Dragonfly. I would consider this hotel a luxury-boutique and if looking to stay in Dallas, this hotel is in my top 5 when staying in a themed room.

I always wanted to stay in this suite, which features retro Austin Powers decor, including 7 lava lamps prominently displayed in one corner over a comfy couch. These lava lamps are featured in online photos of the suite, and are definitely a focal point of the room. We checked in after waiting several hours for our room to be cleaned, and when we walked into the suite only 3 of the lava lamps had working bulbs. I called the front desk to ask for replacement bulbs for the other 4 lamps and a v... Read more

There are some places that make you slow down and forget your worries- in a good way. Dragonfly at Hotel Zaza is one of them. From the accommodating host to the amazing food, this was one of the best zaza experiences ever. Luis, our waiter, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Zack, one of the managers stopped by our table several times to make sure we were okay. The food was phenomenal. As an avid traveler always searching for the next breathtaking experience I was excited to see what Hotel ZaZa (Dallas) had to offer. The luxury offered at this property competes with that of five star hotels all over the world, in my opinion. Glass of wine offered made up for the questionable check-in. Far East room was massive but not cozy. Had told Dragonfly Restaurant we were celebrating a 66th birthday but apparently it didn't make any difference. A plate with Happy Birthday written on it in chocolate would have been a nice touch especially when the restaurant was pretty empty. Restaurant seemed to be an after thought beside the bar. Food was ok, wine list had ridiculous prices. Very disappointing.

So the rooms are big enough and the room service is fine. But their "motif" is pictures of scantily clad females hiding their breasts with provocative objects, showing their breasts in provocative clothing or having someone provocatively look at their breasts. It got a little tiresome. Granted, there are some other photos, like the large collage of pictures from New Guinea, but seriously, they need a new decorator. Provocative is fine, but mix it up a little.
