From the GM Rick being very helpful with my reservation to Ali at check in being welcoming and Chris overnight at the front desk's attitude this hotel has a 5 star staff! The breakfast area is the largest I have seen at a Hampton and the rooms are new, modern, and immaculately clean. The rooms are quiet as well so you can get a good nights sleep.-Kendall

We stayed in Dallas as we came for a business meeting. The hotel was simply outstanding. Very clean, the staff members were very nice and professional. Parking was very convenient. Breakfast was delicious. Also we enjoyed the hydration station, after we walk towards the room during the hot summer days. The location is very attractive in the heart of downtown close to everything within the walking distance. The value for price was unmatched. Extremely satisfied.

We booked this hotel for a conference, but it was canceled a few weeks before our trip because the hotel was not yet completed. We had to scramble to find another hotel (and ended up staying at the incredible Joule) However, upon return we found they had charged our credit card over $3000 for the stay, even though they canceled our reservation! We are now spending all night on the phone trying to get our money back, as Hampton Suites will not deal with us - we booked it through booking.com. H... Read more

Not minding the construction going on around us -we loved everything about our stay!!! Let's start with warm and welcoming staff with those fresh baked cookies. The historic building makeover leaves you speechless. From the pictures on the wall depicting Dallas in her "old glory" to the wonderfully fresh, but not too modern industrial type yet homey décor. Kudos to the design team! The breakfast with its beautiful lounge area was our favorite part!!! The hotel was completely sold out with mai... Read more

The Commerce St location in Dallas Hampton Inn could very well have been one of the best we ever stayed. It was first class all the way. The breakfast facilities were the best I've ever experienced. The choices were great but the cushioned seating by street side windows (second floor) was a plus. It was huge, no fighting for or waiting for seating. It was probably the best priced downtown Dallas hotel. It is the newest. The pool is out of order or they are rebuilding it and will be closed for ... Read more

The hotel and staff were great. Rooms clean and comfortable. Showers have a unique two head design, water had excellent pressure and high temp. The down side is valet was small, uncovered, and not worth high cost. The best option is a paid public lot behind and across the street. Beware of receipt expiration time or you may be met with a ticket. No covered parking available and initial check in is a pain because of construction and distance of parking and main lobby door. As frequent Hampton Inn guests, we were excited to stay at this brand new Dallas Downtown location. The hotel interior is modern, and we appreciated the numerous lounging areas (more than other locations). However, we were extremely dissatisfied with the valet parking situation (around back of the hotel, slow to get your car, and $24/day!) and the narrowness of our room (couldn't fully open a cabinet door). This hotel is a fresh renovation of a historic building, and the service was very good except: The valet service during the morning "rush" was absolutely unacceptable (to the point that I will not stay here again--and I stay in Dallas often--until it is sorted out). I usually do not stay at this property in downtown Dallas, but no options this time. It was going through renovation at the time. Standard rooms are small but nicely updated. Breakfast was better than most hampton inns, parking is $26 a day or you can self park for $8 two blocks away. Hotel staff were not very friendly and made me feel like I was lucky to staying there. I would only stay there next trip is Magnolia is not available.

The hotel is located in downtown and you can easily walk to all the main sights of Dallas. The hotel is quite new, everything was clean, the staff was friendly, just like we are used to from Hampton. We didn't use the valet service, instead we parked our car in the Elm street garage which is just two blocks away. We had an upper floor room with a view of the Mobile Pegasus - just perfect. Would stay there again.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent complimentary breakfast. Downtown Dallas during Texas-OU weekend. What else can I say--lucked out because it was a wonderful, inexpensive place to stay (we booked early)! Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel has no self parking. I was basically forced to valet park. On the second night of my stay the valet crashed my car into a post. Hampton has a sign on checkout desk that says if you are not happy with your stay then you do not have to pay. I asked that they honor this when I checked out but they refused saying that the valet is a sub contractor. Well that is not my problem it is theirs. It appears on their bill and I was greeted by a valet and all he said was "Welcome to Hampton Inn" an... Read more

The entire staff was very friendly and very willing to help. Being a new hotel, of course, everything was exceptionally nice. I didn't use Valet parking, and I'm glad I didn't Although all personnel running this service seemed hard working and friendly, it's not a fast process retrieving your vehicle. We parked in a ground lot 1/2 block behind the building, where there's plenty of parking, at $5 or $6 per night, depending on where you park.

Scott at the front desk was so helpful when checking in, going above a beyond to get me a great room (even with his fellow worker saying nothing could be done). Very clean, new and big room. Good location downtown. Some staff could be nicer and more accommodating (on checkout for example), but Scott and the valet people made up for these shortcomings. I would stay there again

Unhappy with room as it was very hot. Air was turned off when we got there and it took hours to cool the room down. The wifi did not work for us. Comp breakfast was very good though. Also parking was $26 per day which was not told to us prior to our stay.

This hotel is new or recently re-done. Due to street construction, it is a little confusing finding the entrance, but once inside, it is lovely. The front desk team was incredibly helpful to me as I had a problem with my reservation on a big football weekend. My room was one of the largest rooms I've had in my travels, It was quiet and clean. The bathroom was also large. I loved the shower as you had a choice of two shower heads and a little shelf for the ladies to shave your legs! No one... Read more

The hotel is very updated and contemporary with a clean and crisp feel. When my husband and l checked in, they were booked on their king rooms (which we had reserved) so they upgraded us to a corner room suite. The complementary breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful when asking for nearby dinner reservations. The location is also very convenient being a short walk to the gr... Amazing hotel property at the edge of the Dallas shopping district. Across the street from Neiman-Marcus. They refurbished an older building with a totally new inside and the result is amazing. Something you wouldn't expect from a Hampton in an old building. Rooms are nice size, bathrooms are perfect. I'm glad hotels are dropping the old shower/tub for a nicer stand up shower. Only downside is the construction going on the streets around the property. Hard to get to. And they're building ... Read more

I only had 2 issues regarding my stay here. 1. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. My entire body was sore the next day. 2. I had a huge issue with the guy who worked at valet. He claimed valet was full when it wasn't. After I parked my car in the lot behind the hotel, I saw 2 new cars pull in and successfully valet their cars. I spoke to the front desk about it and he was equally as confused about why I was denied valet. I probably won't be back. There are other hotels in downtown that... Read more

Small issues - not enough hot water at night when most guests are freshening up in the evening. No plug in basin to shave / wash face - so the "green initiative" fails as one uses more water activating the water sensor all the time. Spacious rooms. Comforatble bed. Helful staff. Good wifi. Location good foe business. Not ideal for walking to tourist attractions.

This hotel was great in every way! Although in a sleepy, somewhat deserted part of town, the property was recently redone (or is new) and looks great. The lobby was comfortable, stylish, and trendy, and every single thing in the room was perfectly chosen, including every piece of the bathroom. They even had nice (Neutrogena) toiletries. And the front desk staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. Oh, and fresh baked cookies in the afternoon! I loved everything about this hotel.

I have had nothing but a headache with this hotel ever since I arrived yesterday and I will be here for 10 days. The room is nice but I certainly will never come back here when I return to Dallas for business. Firstly, the parking lot is not built yet.
