PROs: - Staff is fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay great. Patton at the front desk made us feel at home and provides lots of great advice on places to go for entertainment and places to eat and drink. All of his recommendations were solid. - The warm Chocolate chip cookies (thats all I can say). :) - The room was large, spacious and clean. It also had a microwave and refrigerator. - Couldn't beat the price we got compared to all the other hotels in the area. - Free shuttle ... Read more

Hotel appearance from the outside doesn't match the inside. They should probably upgrade the front for a better appearance. However, the internal amenities are good. Updates have been made in the lobby with a very nice pool area. The elevators on the other hand were the worse. One of the main elevators wasn't working and took the other one forever. Though they had a service elevator used as a backup, that was very slow as well. Please work on this ASAP. Otherwise the room was a pretty typ... Read more

I booked two junior suites for 6 women for one night. Upon arrival, I was informed I was only booked for one junior suite and one regular king bed room. Although the front desk staff were very nice, the security gaurd was extremely rude and wouldn't let me back into my own room when one of my guests lost her key. I had my ID and cr... Read more

Staff and arrival was great. Very friendly and professional. Lobby is welcoming and comfortable. Outside of the building needs attention. Lots of cigarette butts and small trash. The staff needs to pay better attention to this area. Neighborhood around the property is transitional but a lot of good restaurants nearby and walking is safe. Rooms are well appointed but as this an old property they are small with a low ceiling. Bathrooms are tiny and my wife would not be pleased with the counter s... Read more

This hotel was very nice and they Staff were excellent but if you call HIlton Honors, beware that they may not tell you the whole truth about where a hotel is located. This one was not .9 mi. and walking distance to the seminar that my husband was going to. But the hotel Staff was very kind and took him by shuttle. The breakfast is pricey however but very good. Also unlike the Embassy Suites, also a Hilton hotel, they want you to pay for your drinks at happy hour, plus appetizers.

From the moment I checked in with Cleveland at the desk, I knew this was a hotel that valued customer service. Yet, I was consistently amazed during my four day stay at the extent to which everyone on the staff went to ensure I had everything I wished with a smile! Congratulations to the staff at this hotel for exceeding my expectations because they are high. Wonderful pool area and patios. Shuttle service was great - took me to and from my meetings downtown every day and anywhere I wanted to go... Read more

Here with the family. Staff did a fine job. Perfect location for LUV airport and Highland park. Nice pool and lounge. Overall an older property but clean. Coffee and mini fridge in room. I would stay again.

Just stayed 5 nights here for a conference round the corner. Chose it for the convenience and that is the only real positive I take away from my stay. It's tired on the outside and tired on the inside. Rooms are small with paper thin walls. I was woken up by alarms, the TV and conversations in the room next door. The bathroom was very small. The decor is fairly depressing as was the view out of the window. To be fair, the bed was very comfortable. I only had breakfast once which was ok. Would... Read more

Spent one night there. It's an aging property but it's just fine. They were having problems with the elevators which is always a bad thing. They let the guests use the service elevator but when you got off on the first floor there was not good signage on how to get out of the service area and into the lobby. The staff were nice and friendly. The location is close in to Dallas but there doesn't seem to be many restaurants in the close vicinity. Kind of an odd area.

The hotel was in a great central location. It was close to downtown. Parking was a difficult. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the city. The elevators are slow and small. When I visit I will stay here again.

This is an older hotel but looks good. They only had one small elevator working (also the freight elevator) because it's taking awhile for Hilton to replace both elevators with new/faster ones, so beware that the wait time for the one small elevator that is still working will be long. Hope you enjoy stairs!

This hotel was great. I visited through Halloween. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and the environment was very clean and comfortable. The hallways and the elevators are a little dated, but not enough to be a deterrent from staying at this location. The pros of the location is approximately 4 miles from Dallas Love Field Airport and approximately 15 miles from the AT&T stadium. The con is the few restaurants (maybe 2-3 in a 3 mile radius, including Denny's immediately across the street) on... Read more

Just a one night stay here while waiting for our flight to Sydney. The service from "Patton" was outstanding. He was clearly very busy but took the time to explain everything to us while checking us in. The room was nice with a great view of the Dallas city skyline, It had two Queen beds, bath/shower, good tv, microwave and coffee machine. There was also a nice pool and outdoor area that we didn't have time to use. An added bonus was complimentary transport which we took advantage of to go to... Read more

I had a positive experience here with a friendly checkin and very clean room. The breakfast was also surprisingly nice. All of the workers here are very pleasant. Consider walking across the street for great food at Rodeo Goat. They say "you get what you pay for". This hotel is a very good value.

Low quality location area; public areas of hotel (lobby, bar, pool, restuarant) appear updated and clean. The room floor hallways dark and dingy. The hallway for the "extra elevator" = disgustingly dirty, ceiling tiles collapsing, trash on floor, floor and walls filthy. Room with balcony -- don't pay extra for it. Room smelled. The windows and door are too old and dirty to touch, the balcony is an unkempt gross tiny concrete slab with rail - no seating. Only good for a desperate smoke.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff. I have stayed there several times now and always have a good experience. The breakfast is well above average, fresh omelets, the fruit is ripe and well presented and the service is fast. The rooms are clean, bed was comfortable and the internet worked with no connection issues. It is a small room, but offers everything you need. The bathroom is a little tight, you have to nearly shut the door to get into the shower and pull it back open once in if you ... Read more

Elevator doors got stuck which was terrifying. There was a noisy air conditioner in the room. It just seems like a very old hotel. I would not want to stay here again and I noted that many people felt this way too.

This is a nice solid doubletree, good rooms, modern, free parking lot!, good bar. On the negative, it's a good 15min drive to restaurants, arts district etc. They do have a shuttle to take you there, but not the same as just walking. Good breakfast buffet included.

It was a Hotel. Nothing fancy or outstanding. No curb appeal at all. The person checking me in didn't point out the amenities. Room and other areas of the hotel were clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff around the facility were really friendly. You could tell it was an older hotel but the maintenance was kept up very well. The bathroom in the room was really small.

From the moment I got out of the taxi, the experience began my business trip and ended up at the wrong hotel. Kindly, the Hilton sister property offered to shuttle me at no charge or inconvenience to the correct destination, The Double Tree. From then on, my experience was wonderful and they allowed me to do an early check in at 11 am with no additional fee. While I awaited for my check in time to arrive, I asked to be shuttled to a nearby mixed use area to run errands and enjoy a little insight... Read more
