I have driven by this historic hotel many times, and finally got the chance to get-away for an overnight "stay-cation" in Dallas, or specifically...the Oak Lawn/Uptown area of Dallas. This hotel is stately, and tucked in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to walking next to the beautiful Turtle Creek or Katy Trail, which I just adore! The bed was very comfortable, as was the lounge chair. The bathroom was clean and classic. The only thing to remember is that you must use valet parking and ... Read more

I stayed here a year ago for a small group meeting, and all of us were at that hotel. My stay was brief, but the room was huge and the people were very nice. This time, it was also nearby my conference, walking distance (although people in this area don't seem to walk at all, and you must be careful very unexpectedly steep curb cuts!), and one of the conference rate hotels. This room seemed even bigger, the heating and cooling both workedwell ( important in this shoulder season), and the staff w... Read more

Very lovely place with The Library Bar where you can enjoy live music (piano, sometimes saxophone). It is conveniently located in the heart of Dallas (old part of town). I enjoyed the interior design so much - that convinced local photographer to shoot there rather than his studio. He was amazed just as much. The hotel personnel were very accommodating - they were able to offer the room with good lighting in the afternoon for our shoot. :)

Great value in a great part of town. The car service was perfect and allowed us to get around wherever we needed to go. Ernesto was fantastic! The Library bar is so relaxing and drinks were amazing, would definitely stay again!

This hotel was excellent. It had a retro old fashioned type setting. All of the staff was very pleasant and eager to assist with anything at all that might be needed. The bar off the lobby was typically full but not to rowdy or noisy I only made it in once but service was great. Room was comfy and cold! If you like being able to drop the room temp to 50 to sleep and love a strong overhead fan this is the place. Nice work desk area as well!

We come from Oklahoma City to stay at The Warwick-Melrose several times a year just so we can catch Aubree-Anna performing in the Library Bar! A great place to stay and great entertainment! We love the hotel in general. My only critique would be the steep-priced, mandatory, valet parking for an uncovered, low security lot.

We had a great time spending the night here! The staff was very nice and our room was a great value! Beware of the $30 valet charge and the complete lack of self parking options. Other than that I definitely recommend!

Good location, nice facilities. Disappointed in the staff. Checked it and asked for assistance in finding somewhere to pump. Got blank stares and no one seemed to care. Pumped in the first floor bathroom - not appetizing. Very disappointing for a hotel that annually houses young, mostly female OBGyn physicians. Contracted massage very overpriced for mediocre at best service. Massage was not good, 45 minutes instead of an hour, had sharp nails. Even though we immediately notified staff, very l... Read more

The room we stayed at was very comfy. The views are certainly not the best and surrounding area is not the best, but the location is close to uptown's hot spots and downtown's skyscrapers. The hotel bar is cool, loved the shuttle service and the driver. We found it ridiculous that they don't allow self-parking, especially because the parking lot is a couple of meters from their doorstep, so valet service is unnecessary, parked on the street instead!

This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Dallas and doing the lower Greenville/Oak Lawn area. It's convenient to Turtle Creek and Oak Lawn and is only about 10 minutes from lower Greenville. This is an older, historic hotel with lots of charm. I have to admit we stayed here because I accidentally booked the wrong hotel. Normally we stay at the Stoneleigh, which isn't too far from the Melrose. Although I like the Stoneleigh, I liked the Melrose better. The lobby is very nice and t... Read more
