The hotel has great gardens and looks very inviting from the outside. I found the room a little too dark and why spacious, not very cozy. "Breakfast" was only for pick-up, typical American coffee and some bagels

This hotel is amazing! It's probably one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. The grounds were beautiful and the room was charming. Some of the negative reviews are laughable - it's not the Taj Mahal. If you expect more than you need to stay at a 5 star hotel. This is a college town so take that into consideration when booking. The Vineyard is perfect for the price - you get a nice room, an evening social hour and a free breakfast. There really is nothing to complain about. If you... Read more

The hotel is very clean, safe, and well-maintained. The drawbacks I saw mostly are for pet owners. I chose this hotel because we were traveling with our dog and I thought it would be great to be able to sit in the courtyard with the dog and not have to keep him shut up in the room. But...pets aren't allowed in the courtyard. Where pets are allowed there isn't a single chair or bench for you to sit. All you can do is walk your dog to the field next to the hotel for a potty break--and my dog was t... Read more

Don't let the outside of this hotel fool you. The magic is in the courtyard. Like a secret garden the interior is astounding. Beautiful pool and pergolas covered with vining wisteria. The courtyard has all your backyard amenities and great atmosphere. The rooms are a former kitchenet type beautifully redone. Slept like a baby in this place after relaxing in the courtyard. It's really worth a look.

I was skeptical when pulling into the parking lot but once I got to the doors, wow. I was pleasantly surprised. It was beautiful. So beautiful that people were enjoying themselves at the pool or under the trellis drinking wine. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The grounds on this property are very nice. They have a really nice pool and courtyard. The rooms/suites are nicely appointed complete with 2 gas burners, a large refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of utensils and dishes. They offer a happy hour from 5:30-7:30 which was a nice touch. We didn't partake in the complimentary breakfast, because we cooked breakfast in our room, which was a nice option! They do not charge extra for pets, which was a nice change. They have a pet station ... Read more

This hotel is centrally located, quiet and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We always had plenty of towels and everything needed for the kitchenette was available. Everything possibly needed during our stay was in our room at check in so extra trips to the front desk were not necessary. We were even able to check in two hours early at no additional cost, which assisted us greatly. The courtyard was beautiful and amenities were great. I love that pets stay free, we will ... Read more

Quaint lil' place, but I was expecting a little nicer place from the pics. However, the pics are as good as it gets. Came here with a 14u softball team and although the pool is open 10 til 10 they did want the girls to frolic and swim at 8-9p because it bothered the other guests. Do not expect much from the "pull out couch". My 8 year old can pretty much sleep anywhere and he crawled into the main bed because of the metal bars across his back. 2nd night we didn't even fold out the couch bec... Read more

We arrived at hotel around 5:00. Front desk was not particularly welcoming, but they did put out wine and cheese at 5:30, and had a nice little courtyard. In town for a basketball tournament. Clean courtyard, but our room smelled skunkey. Well, it is a college town, but I'd expect a more thorough cleaning and some room freshener....maybe fresh air to get the smell out.

I stayed here based solely on reviews and the great price! The quality is exceeded my expectations! The bathrooms are huge! We got a queen quite with a sleeper sofa is beautiful! The kitchen is huge and the full sized fridge is perfect for traveling! The courtyard is a tranquil resting spot and the pool is clean and refreshing! I highly recommend this hotel!

And, Air conditioner wouldn't keep room cool. Beds are uncomfortable. Sheets and bedding are worn. Pool padlocked without explanation one evening. What's with the yellow caution tape? Lots of deferred maintenance not shown in pictures on web page. Rooms are small and crowded with too much cheap furniture. Drawers fall out of dresser drawers. Bedroom TV not functioning properly.. Stingy with towels. Lastly, I wonder where the 99 dollar rooms referenced on the website are? Even so, th... Read more

The Vineyard feels like a piece of old Mexico in that all the niceties are in the peaceful inner courtyard, not outside the compound. The room I stayed in (120) was large with a decent kitchen and bathroom with an excellent shower. (Despite one of the reviews to the contrary, the towels are more luxurious than I expect at a mid-range hotel.) Room decor is NOT modern, possibly a problem for some guests but not for me. Lots of storage including those scattered around as drawers and a footlocke... Read more

What a charming remodel of an old efficiency apartment building. Loved the cute "nod to the Aggie Corp" on the room names and decor. Cute furniture. Definitely not your "chain hotel". Great location across from the Blue Baker restaurant, BB&B and World Market shopping, and a stones throw to TAMU campus. As all reviewers have mentioned, the courtyard is an oasis of beauty. Looks like a great place for groups to "hang" on Aggie game weekends.

Very relaxing nice place during evening and night. During day construction and remodel going on and noisy - Unable to nap. Wonderful breakfast area and well stocked. Very nice courtyard sitting areas. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. Very clean. Maids very nice and kept room well stocked also. Nice to have a large refrigerator.

For visiting our son at Uni this small hotel has a good location, a very nice outdoor pool, tranquil flower garden and patio design, all day coffee provided and a continental breakfast. We paid a bit extra for the "suite" so we had a tiny living room and kitchenette - very nice for watching the Olympics. The only downside was the worse-than-usual lack of soundproofing so let's just say we got to know more about our neighbors than we would have wanted, especially those living above us. Otherwise ... Visiting family nearby. Enjoyed the full kitchen, wine in the evenings and the pretty courtyard garden. Could easily live there for a while because of the good location, tucked away right off a busy street. Will stay there again next month.

First I will list the positives: the bed is comfortable, the pillows are firm, which I appreciate, the water pressure is good and the toiletries are very nice. Why I won't be staying here again: 1. If I had known I would be walking up an outside staircase in heels and the heat every day with my heavy work bags to get to and from my room, I wouldn't have stayed here in the first place. To make matters a little more annoying, there are 2 staircases in the hotel, one at each end of the courtyar... Read more

Very clean hotel. Comfortable beds and pillows. Loved the location, nice walk to campus and restaurants. Close drive to shopping and other restaurants. No elevators so you have to walk up a set of stairs if you are on the second level, no problem for us as we appreciated the exercise. We heard no noise from our neighbors just kids walking by.
