Stayed overnight for daughter's college graduation. Building is old. Room was so humid so I had to use AC all the time in order to keep room dry. Bathroom was dirty. I found chunk of hair from previous guest in a bathtub so I doubt if housekeeping did cleaned my room before I checked in. Internet was very slow and almost useless. Breakfast was OK.

This modest hotel is clean, functional and served me well during my 3-day business trip. The staff is nice and welcoming. Its location is not ideal. There are very few restaurants around. Breakfast is fine and the free water bottles is much appreciated.

I'll just give the highlights: - Bed was hard, springs too worn. - So humid in the room that sheets and towels felt wet. Air conditioner just spit out more humid air. - General smell of mold, and black mold on the shower wall. - Water so soft you could reconstitute the soap off your skin. - The toilet was probably sized for a toddler. - Breakfast was plastic eggs and rubber sausage. - And to finish the experience, I found a used enema kit in the closet. Just goes to show what the Hampton name me... Read more

The stay here was what one might expect coming to a college town like this: everything just average. But still better than some of the other choices here. Two issues need to be addressed: breakfast is extremely limited in choices (not even jelly/jam packets are available), and the floors of the common areas, including the elevators, need a scrubbing. The shuttle van service is good.

clean and simple; near the north end of A&M--very convenient; the wood in the bathroom and desk area was a little worn; breakfast was typical fare--scrambled eggs (hot, but that didn't taste fresh), sl stale bagles, cereal, juices; good cookies in front lobby when we arrived, though; very quick check in and check out! very nice personnel; the hair drier didn't work; expect a low hum of AC (but overall quiet stay)

Stayed here with a soccer team for a week. All rooms do not have refrigerators/ microwaves in them. There is no hotel laundry room for people who are staying a week to use. The rooms had mold in them (on the ceiling). We had sick players and parents. The sofa beds in a king room would not accommodate 2 kids. They are single beds, but the room booked for 4. The staff worked very hard to accommodate our requests for room changes, refrigerators, etc, but the hotel was not equipped.

We were in town for a swim meet and we were completely satisfied with our stay at this Hampton Inn. Staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The front desk girl, Nikki was great! My girls LOVED the complimentary snacks (chips, cookies and candy bars) given at check in. Our room was very clean and beds were fairly comfortable. I would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn should we find ourselves in Aggieland again.

We just wanted a simple, clean stay. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't very clean with hairs that clearly had just been mopped around on the floor and the hair dryer also had hair stuck to the intake screen. The hotel appears new and fresh in photos but in reality it is tired. The hotel has tried to dress things up a bit, but you can't cover up several worn-down marks on the bathtub. was just very tired. The staff was very nice though.

The rooms were small and took forever to cool. Housekeeping didn't clean our room until well after 5 pm. After a long day on the ball field, coming back to clean towels and a freshly made bed would have been nice. The channels on the guide sheet did not match what was on the tv and the channels were very limited. The overhead ambience light was a nice feature, though. Vents in the bathroom would have been nice.

The location is excellent for visiting Texas A&M. The staff was also excellent, especially Taylor, the shuttle driver. The rooms are much smaller than most Hamptons with no bathtubs, only a shower. The breakfast was good with real oatmeal, not instant.

After cleaning the room, they left 1/2 of a roll of toilet paper on the spindle and no extra rolls (3 ppl in the room) Air conditioner pumps out overly humid air, even when set at 60 degees! We were in the area for the Texas Harvest Wine Trail. The hotel was conveniently located near the seven wineries that we visited for the 2 day event. The staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. Everything in the room worked. We were only there for 1 night, however it was great. The hotel is also down the street from A&M, so if you're ever in the area and need a place to stay, I highly recommend this hotel.

I'm normally very satisfied with Hampton Inns but the carpet in my room had very clearly not been cleaned at all in a very long time. I had to lay down towels to walk on or my feet would be covered in other people's hair and dirt.

The TV had a bad HDMI cable connection that would either loose the connection entirely or provide a bad signal on some of the channels. The room remained humid as well. Staff was very nice and did their best to help and ultimately didn't charge me for the night. Breakfast worked fine for me. I jogged to the Tx A&M engineering bldgs in the morning - very close. Had dinner at the World of Beer at the corner. Good restaurant.

This is your basic low end, easy in/easy out business hotel. It has a free breakfast and none of the hassles of an upper end business hotel. It is about 1 mile from TAMU. Not close enough to walk. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance (some as close as a 2 minute walk). The rooms are nice and clean and the beds are comfortable. It seems like most rooms have 2 double beds. Wonderful experience staying at the Hampton Inn. We have stayed here before and will stay again. The room is a decent size with frig and microwave. The king size bed was comfortable with both soft and medium pillows. Moved in daughter to her apartment. Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Her friend parked at the hotel parking lot after we moved out for a few hours due to the chaos at the apartment complex (not overnight). Car was towed and no shuttle service to impound lot until the next day. Front desk staff and manager never bothered to call us back when we tried to explain the situation. Will never stay at this hotel again even though it is closest to my daughter's apartment.
