The service here is great! Overall the hotel is older and it shows. My AC unit didn't work properly and I couldn't handle the warm temperature any longer. I called down at 11:30 and they moved me to another room. The front desk receptionist indicated that room "has been having AC issues lately." Why put someone in a room known to have AC problems?

I highly recommend this hotel for parents of Howard Payne University students when visiting Brownwood, TX. Over 4 years of consistent quality 2-3x a year.Breakfast is great. Make sure they know you are an HPU family and they will take great care of you!

This Hotel has trouble with its internet service in the rooms. Maybe due to its location in Brownwood for cell service is very poor. You need to have other options if you stay here to access the internet. AT&T seems to work best.

Brownwood TX Hampton Inn is poorly managed. Don't expect your room to be ready at 3pm check in time. You will wait at least 30 mins Comforters on beds very displeasing to eye. Full of huge lumps Not a good value for $165 a night. Won't stay there again or recommend

Upon arriving the staff at the front desk was not very friendly and was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of guest checking in. Several people were having issues with the room key not working. When finally getting to my room it I was shocked to see that it look like there where large mounds all over the bed. It was clear that housekeeping staff did not know how to care for the comforters. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Even though there was very dangerous weather in the area, you felt comfortable and safe in the hotel. Very little noise from the storm transmitted into the room. We are looking forward to staying here and other Hamptons again soon.

Sadly, this Hampton Inn was a disappointment in comparison to every other we have stayed at. My husband and I are both HHonors members and travel often for business, although this particular trip was for a family event. Even though we are aware of the 100% satisfaction guarantee Hampton Inns offer, we don't take advantage of it. First off, it is rarely an issue, and secondly, if we stay there, eat the breakfast, use the internet, etc., getting the room for free doesn't seem quite right to us... Read more

Staff and property are excellent. Staff is helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast good and all the basics are covered. Many restaurants close by. Walmart, CVS and grocery stores near hotel. Best experience in town.

Business trip. Never had been to Brownwood, but hotel was very easy to find. Location convenient. I had a very good experience with my stay. No noise level. Slept like a baby. bathroom was vert clean. bathtub was very clean also. Good brand of shampoo and soap.

A/C did not work correctly. Reported the issue to 2 staff members a total of 3 times. Issue was never resolved. Mattress was very worn out. Lumpy & uncomfortable. Desk staff did not seem the least bit concerned about any complaints.

The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was very clean. The free breakfast had the most choices of any hotel we have ever been at. The kiddos were able to swim at the pool until 11 o'clock that night which was very convenient since we had plans during the day.

Back door of the hotel had clear tape on the door facing where it would not lock. Told the staff this was a security risk, but was ignored. Appeared to have family and/or friends of staff coming to happy hour to eat and drink, limiting what was available for hotel guests. But that was alright, food was horrible.

Friendly people, , I got a decent price one week and the next week the room had gone up 50.00 per night. Guess you have to stay on top of the pricing.The motel is an awkward place to get back on the main highways and is difficult to enter or exit during high traffic times with a trailer. Staff was great, room was really clean and when I went back the next week I had intentions of staying there for four nights but they had raised the price by 50.00 per night so I went for a less expensive room.

Stayed at this motel for two nights. Gold Club member and checked via website the day before but when we went to the front desk at 2:30 to get the room key, the clerk and manager said we could not get our room until 3:00 or 3:30. She did not check my reservation. I explained that I had been traveling for 5 hours and that I had checked in earlier. The manage was rude and abrupt. We have stayed at this particular hotel several times, and we've always been pleased. The staff members are friendly, and in particular for this stay, I would like to add that the temperature in the room was EXTREMELY pleasant when we arrived! This is Texas! From check in to check out, this struck me as a place to get into late, sleep and get out first thing in the morning and continue driving through. If you do this, your in good shape, but if you stay for a couple of days doing business in the area, you will notice the property is showing its age. The hotel is located in the center of Brownwood on the highway. It has access to restrants and shopping. Traveled on business and pleasure to Brownwood over the past 8 years. We attended at a wedding at Lake Brownwood and stayed at the Hampton Inn in Brownwood. Very nice hotel, good breakfast & centrally located in town. Rooms were nice and updated. The hotel allowed for late check out since we were out late the night of the wedding.

The room was comfortable although the wall paper was coming off the walls in the bathroom and there was mildew/mold in the corners of the shower. The breakfast bar was nice and the lobby appointments were very comfortable.

My check in experience was great. That's where my good news ends. I made the mistake of dropping my stuff and leaving for a meeting without checking out the room. The carpet needed vacuumed. The room was so dusty that it set my allergies off. The dust was literally caked on the ceiling fan and light fixtures. Very poor customer service all around. We will never stay in a Hampton again. Frost desk staff was unprofessional and did not make an effort to resolve the issue. Would not provide extra pillows and was told "we are full and we don't have extra items."

Horrible experience with rude biligerent front desk staff; totally lacking not just people skills but unable to navigate computer and unwilling to even try. Slow to the point of absurdity( over an hour to get checked in to a basically empty establishment)

I was worried about staying here due to recent reviews of the cleanliness but everything was fine. We checked in and for two queen beds after taxes was about $180.00, it was kinda expensive and that is why i rated it a 3 instead of 4. Breakfast was average with waffles, cereals, fruit, yogurts, bread assortments, as well as biscuits & gravy. No complaints and nothing stood out. It was an average stay. I would recommend this hotel, but it is a little pricey.

We had a good nights rest. For breakfast we ate at hotel. Breakfast had a good variety of food. We had the waffles. Coffee was fresh and hot. Would definitely recommend. Easy access to hotel location. Restaurants were easy to walk to if needed.

Our room was next to the elevator, but we could not hear the elevator running. :-) Slept without interruption. The omelet was not very good (and the amount of cheese added too many calories), but the scrambled eggs were fine.

This hotel is okay. The room was clean. Everything worked. The staff people were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was probably a little below average. There was nothing wrong with the place, and we would stay there again. It just could use a little more attention to detail. If there was a simple "good" rating between "average" and "very good", that is what I would have given it.

The clerk could not determine my corporate discount rate and never gave it to me. I was greatly disappointed in the service to say the least. I have always liked Hampton Inns. I will give them another try in the future. But I will make certain I have the information for them before I ever check in because I cant count on them to find it.

This place is the worst hotel I've stayed in in over 25 years of travel. The smell of mold in the room, sticky carpet that felt kinda moldy/damp. Texting workers took their time to check me in, there were two and both were bobble heading around instead of doing their jobs.

For the rate of $180 dollars, you would expect a nicer looking hotel with updated features. Bathroom and carpets looked old. I have stayed at better hotels for the same price. Breakfast was ok. Not a whole lot of options. Coffee was decent.

Beautiful hotel and a friendly staff! We were greeted with a smile and service, started off our stay on a positive note! Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are large - big enough for me 9the dad) to get into the bathroom along with my wife and daughter and ALL their stuff! We appreciate the staff and accommodations at this hotel.

Not all Hampton's are the same. Not all Hampton's meet the Hilton standards of excellence. This one DOES. Quiet, comfortable, inviting, clean, and very friendly staff. A little difficult to notice from the main thoroughfare, but once you get checked in and's nice. Lots of restaurant choices too.
