This place is so comfortable it rocks and its suites and condos are very roomy for living in or for a weekend get away with your family... The staff is so friendly and the cleaning staff is always very helpful and corteous.. Is close to everything and it has suites with kitchenetes, beautiful views to the bay and also separated rooms that can acommodate you and your family perfectly.

Our condo had just been remodeled and had huge ceilings with a beautiful view. I can't wait to go back and visit the new jazz bar! David is the go-to man if you ever need help!! Just a five min walk to the beach with shopping right on either side of the building. Cute golf carts for rent right beside it as well.

We stayed here last week and I must say I was extremely surprised! You would have no idea from the outside what a huge suite and great architecture this place has! Our first encounter with the lady at the front desk, Alicia, was amazing. She was very happy to see us and very hospitable and helpful. Once entering the condo I immediately realized how huge and spacious it was- perfect for a getaway on the island. It wasnt noisy or overcrowded. I was lucky enough to meet a man that worked there name... Read more

This is a really nice condo. One of my favorite features is the washer and dryer in the condo itself. The bad thing is the management company sticks. No one knows anything, each time we called (2 times) to ask a questions they didn't seem to know what was going on and would just say sorry. It was other guest who helped us figure our where simple things like the trash shot was. We were told there is beach access what they fail to mentions is you to walk through another set of condos. We stayed here for a quick 1 day stop in South Padre island. Highlights: We wanted a late checkout of 5pm and the hotel honored it at a day rate of $50 as opposed to all other hotels/condos that asked us to book for an extra night The rooms are big and ideal if you want to work out of there Great wifi speeds! The bathroom is clean, but has no bathtub. Rest assured, its very clean Its a great price point as well. Definitely recommend staying here.

We reserved our hotel that same day at a good rate. Our room was beautiful!! We loved it and we slept so well. It was quiet and peaceful. The pool is great and clean. It is quite a long walk to the beach access so I would recommend driving to it. Only downfall was that they didn't have any food vending machines and all the drinks were sold out.

This place needs some major updates, The carpet is old and stained, Most of the ice machines had water leaks, The staff placed towels on the floor to solve the problem. The last night stay I saw a roach I will never stay here again

There doesn't appear to be a gem of a hotel hidden beyond the mall facade, but venture inside and there to greet you is Denise. She's extremely helpful and very happy to assist her guests! We extended our stay one more night because of her! Thank you for a very wonderful stay!! By the way...the bed was super comfortable!

We stayed here the week in August 2016, first and foremost don't be fooled by the exterior of the hotel, it doesn't appear to be a hotel, but inside is wonderful, we were on a 20 day road trip staying at many different hotels and by far the suites at Sunchase had the best beds!! Clean, fresh smelling rooms! The hotel manager (Denise) and desk clerk check us in with fast and friendly service, Denise recommend the best restaurant and places to visit, even tho they are about a 5 min walk to the bea... My family and I stayed the night of August 12, 2016 and we had planned to stay one more night until we learned how unsafe this hotel is. On the afternoon of the 13th, I took my toddler to our room on the 4th floor for a nap. Moments later my mother tried to join us but could not because the elevators were not working. That is when she and other guests realized there was no access to the 3rd and 4th floors. Staff was repeated informed that this was dangerous in case of a fire and that there h... Read more

The building needs to be updated. The rooms Very neglected. Rooms well not up to par at all. The owner should be ashamed of the state of this place. It is apparent that at one point this Hotel as top of the line. Back in 1980

We read lots of reviews prior to our Labor Day 2016 stay, and decided to go for it given the price. Ultimately, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Our 2/2 condo unit was nicely appointed and spacious! The pool was relaxing and parking was ample. Don't be thrown off by the exterior as others have similarly indicated. I believe certain services at the hotel have been shuttered given the decrease in hotel traffic. This gives the place an eerie feel. But, the service that is still being ren... Read more

Room took us back to the 50's but without that nostalgic feeling. A hot plate? Are you serious? We could barely get enough heat to fry an egg! A tiny frying pan that was all scratched up. No drapes on the window and a dingy carpet. No balcony and a noisy window air conditioner considering it is called a "suite". The business next to our drapeless window kept their lights on all night which made it very difficult to sleep unless you downed a half bottle of sleep aids or a bottle of vodka! We had... Read more

Wonderful staff and fun amenities. Close to everything! We enjoyed the swimming pool at the hotel and its two hot tubs especially. You can walk to many nearby restaurants and other shopping. The large rooms are especially nice.

The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and knew the island well providing lots of suggestions for local food and entertainment. The rooms were actually suites and included a mini fridge, microwave, bar sink, and dining area. The stone/tile walk-in shower was recently updated and like a very large room. I wish I had a shower like that at home! The rooms were clean and the location is close to many tourist shops and restaurants. A great deal for travelers looking to stay close to the beach fo... I am just returning from a corporate event this weekend. We have been to the Suites as Sunchase in the past and enjoyed returning there. The staff are very pleasant and the hotel is centrally located. Anytime we called for a cab, they were there in 5 minutes. The pool is a great hangout!

What a fabulous trip to SPI, heightened by the extraordinary service and stay at the Suites at Sunchase. Every one there was so kind and helpful. The facility itself was exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I have no doubt in our mind where we will be staying next time we make the haul down to Padre.

This hotel has it all. The beds are the most comfortable i have ever slept on and the rooms are gigantic. We rented a suite for the weekend and I brought my entire company down to this hotel for the third year in a row. We had a private party put on in the Marrakesh bar on the ground floor. There is also huge banquet and meeting space and an upstairs bar for events. We are not large enough of a company to afford that yet and we don't do business, it's more a of a social trip for the company... Read more

I needed a last minute hotel room because we decided to stay one more night, luckily sunchase had the cheapest ($98) king suite! Super convenient for me and it was actually quite nice. They have a parking garage in the back as well! the only dislike I had was the restroom but its just my opinion(they should be updated a little.) I still highly recommend staying, beautiful place and staff was super friendly!

We stayed here for a week. We booked it through a travel company and because of that we had a special room with full size fridge, stovetop, sink, plates, pans, silverware etc. The first night didn't go so well as the room assigned to us had a plumbing issue that made it smell real bad. We checked in late at night and the night manager woke up Toni the GM and she gave us another room to stay in until our room could be taken care of. The next day our room was ready and the stay went very well. ... Read more
