Had a great conference this week and can only say great things about Omni! Little things like opening a door and actually smiling, serving staff that made a true effort to care and most of all service with the Customer in mind! It has all the amenities, Spa, Pool, Golf, and Tennis but overall I just felt relaxed when I was there. Mangers were always around to take compliments and complaints! All around this was year two and it went even better than last year. Highly recommend when doing business... Read more

We chose to stay at the Omni Barton Creek for a weekend anniversary getaway. We could not have been more pleased. The friendly front desk staff was more than accommodating and allowed us to check in early. Our room was on the 4th floor with a fabulous view of the golf course and surrounding hills. The room was clean with very nice, upscale decor. We walked around the grounds during the evening and a wonderful employee gave us a short tour while walking us to where we needed to go. I cannot... My wife and I booked reservations at the Omni Barton Creek (OBC) to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting surrounded by amazing golf courses and hill country views. We did not play golf but I can tell you from previous visits the golf courses are some of the best in Texas. We spent the weekend at the spa and enjoying all that Austin has to offer. We stayed in room 835, very spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and amazing view. Bathroom is spacious bu... Read more

this was an ideal 3-4 day getaway with my wife, as we both love to golf together. Service and food was very strong, staff EXCELLENT and very friendly. Only comment is that golf, though very nice, is clearly overpriced.

The lady at check-in was very rushed. Asked us what we wanted to know about the hotel. Our response, "well everything because we have never been here". After which she pulls up a whole list of things going on at the hotel. Not enough lounge chairs by the pool so there is no place to sit down. Music for the wedding was so loud we could hear it in our room at midnight. To top it off, they over charged us on the bill and took hours to fix it.

This is our second trip to this resort. We love it's location and the golf courses are amazing! We had an unfavorable dining experience in January and the chef did an amazing job at changing our opinion of the Hill Country Dining Room. Our waitress Maria was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dustin was also quick to make sure everything that evening was going smoothly and that we enjoyed our dining experience. Low quality service, decor and food at the restaurant, Bed was too soft. Rooms were too small. No inventory in the stores. No high-end retail stores in house. The pool facilities and activities are out-dated and limited. The valet and door staff are good.

This was our second visit during their concert series. Our first we saw Steve Warner and this trip we saw Lee Ann Womack. I recommend the VIP package, it was perfect. I have also played golf at the resort and it is a beautiful course. I suggest you take lot's of golf balls. It is a tough one to play.

I recently came to Barton Creek for a Father/Son golf trip, we had a amazing time. Multiple golf courses brought a new experience each day with my son. Palmer Lakeside is a can't miss course. The resort staff were very accommodating in all aspects of our stay. Texas hospitality at its best. Resort guests enjoyed a Leann Womack concert in a fun and entertaining area with BBQ included. A memorable weekend that will bring us back again.

Let's start with the good stuff - the staff was excellent all around. The bad, this hotel needed an update throughout common areas and rooms and spa years ago. The carpet is disgusting. The spa is extremely dated. The treatment room was literally a glass door with curtains and I could hear people in the hallway the entire time. The rooms are just as bad. Dated everything. The only thing holding up is the bathrooms except the toilets are SO short and strange.

If you are wanting to go to a resort to get-away, this is the place for you. This resort is in the most scenic and beautiful part of Austin. With a spa, golf course, pool, full service bar, and delicious restaurant, you could literally stay at the hotel for the entirety of your trip! The room was clean and beds were so soft. We used a Groupon, which made this experience affordable and wonderful!

I have stayed at the resort many times over the last year. Up until recently, my experience has been mixed--generally inconsistent service. However, over the last couple stays, I've gotten great service from the check in and check out process being smooth and noneventful, to timely room service experience. For the first time on my most recent stay, I found time to get to the spa for a sports massage. Facilities are dated, but I had one of the best massages I've experienced in a while.

Food is great, pool is inviting, golf is superb! After all the rains this spring in the hill country, the golf courses are in excellent condition. Even had a heavy rain last week while we were there. This trip was purely for relaxing, and the spa was perfect, and the therapists some of the best. The fitness center and pool areas are in good shape, and staff very helpful. Stay away from room 932. I'm a travel agent so I've seen a lot of hotels. While the resort is in a great location it is a little tricky getting there. I did not sleep as well because of the paper thin doors and noise coming from the room attendant's quarters next to my room. You'd think the staff would know that us travel agents will be making recommendations based on our stay there but they gave me a crummy noisy room.

The resort is in fairly good repair, but you can tell it's an older resort that once was likely really quite the place. Today, it's a good place to stay, with a very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are well appointed and large. Public space is spacious and well cared for. Pool is smaller and dining areas are all located on the lower level. Very comfortable, friendly, caring staff. Beautiful resort. I highly recommend for business or for pleasure. I was there for a four day stay and enjoyed every minute of it. We did not have to leave the resort as everything we needed from dining to entertainment was on site.

I filled out the preferences days in advance, still couldn't comply - had to call three times and it still took them over 2 hours to bring my preferences (which i paid for) to the room, i found ants in my room, and the window was broken.

Lovely Resort property in the Hills of Southwest Austin that offers a quiet respite from the hustle/bustle of the traffic and noise of the City around it! Friendly staff makes you feel welcomed and it is spotless throughout with beautiful views. Their are several Restaurant options, tho the food quality is not quite up to the high standard of the rest of the Hotel. Not bad, but could use some tweeks to raise it to a First-Class standard. There is a Spa, Golf, and Swimming tho we did not use... Read more

Stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. Hotel is beautiful and the room was beyond compare. Had a balcony overlooking the pool and golf course. Hotel was sprawling so a map was included just do I could find my room. Not a big fan of valet parking and it was relatively expensive however there are very few parking spaces so you might as well valet.

Hotel was upscale, very nice, very clean, very friendly staff all over the property, fun activities for the kids up to 11 years old. We had a double queen room and it was very spacious. Loved that there were two sinks, one outside toilet area.

This is a place you visit when you would like to relax at a hill country resort. You feel removed from the city of Austin. The hotel was clean and well organized. The hill country provides a beautiful backdrop. The resort building itself is a large structure. We stayed in several different rooms with our 2 boys during July (we live in austin, our home was being repaired). The rooms were very clean. The majority of the staff were super polite and hospitable. The outdoor pool area is fami... Read more

Very clean, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The pool area was a bit small; however, I learned they are getting ready for a multi-million dollar renovation to create an infinity pool and many other renovations. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area in Austin, in close proximity to downtown and several state parks. We enjoyed our stay!

My wife and I went for a golfing tournament. Everything was great the first night, but the concierge had someone track us down to tell us we had to move from our room. It appeared that someone who made more money than me had reserved the room with the adjoining suite. They ended up giving us the previous night for no charge, but I believed they should have given us a second night.

This resort is Amazing!! I was a Director of Guest Services for 22 years and have high service standards. This resort surpassed my expectations. Every hotel employee I encountered was friendly and genuine from front desk, bellman, coffee shop, spa, and even just those walking down the halls. One particular person that made my stay was Elizabeth, the Director of Kid Club and Camp. My 6 yr old son decided to throw an extreme temper tantrum when dropping him off to a fun filled day of camp (while ... Read more

Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa is simply amazing. Yes, you can see the age of the resort but this resort is aging beautifully! Resort is clean, room is spacious, and outdoor pool is adorable! Only negative I guess would be the pool bathroom. Highly suggest renovating it. Otherwise, entire family enjoyed the stay. Highly recommended. We will certainly stay again!

Truth in advertising. This is a resort for which we stay monthly so our attention to the most minute details is considerable based on the frequency of stays. From the beginning the general greeting(s) from the valet is solid, prompt and gracious. The check-in area is slightly cramped at peak hours but not oppressive. On Friday and Saturday nights there is often a music act in the bar which is adjacent to check-in/reception. Would suggest removing this as it is loud and not the wort of welcome... Read more

Mom dad and 2 yr old daughter. Wed-Sat. Great time. Fantastic staff. Close to Austin (took daughter to see the bats), pool was fun. Putt putt and nature trail fun for kids also. Hope to get grown up golf in next time!

Paid for early check-in, 1pm. Had made arrangements for our kids at home so we could arrive early and maximize alone time (which we rarely have) for my husband's bday. Had plans to enjoy the pool and made spa appts. Upon arrival we were told our room would not be ready until 4p. This was after Mgmt had called and confirmed early check-in the day before...and I will add that the gentleman at the front desk was edgy and had no intention of being accommodating. So we took our suitcases to the spa,... Read more

There is a groupon out for this resort that includes the room and a $100 resort credit per day. They DO NOT honor the $100 resort credit. You will walk away with nothing but a room. Groupon does not stand behind what they claim they are selling. They told me that I could cancel my stay, but we had already taken off work and driven 4 hours so that really wasn't an option. Barton Creek made it clear to me that they have had major issues with this since the Groupon started. We had 4 families ... Read more

Came to the resort for a long weekend with the family. Here are the pros & cons as I see them: PROS: staff is very courteous, welcoming and well trained. The golf course is spectacular. The on site boutique and golf shop are incredible - best selection I've seen at a resort. Hats off to the buyer! Pool is basic, but there is a ping pong table and corn hole games. Additionally the pool service is attentive. The food at the 8212 restaurant was fine, and the service was great. CONS: the... Read more

The pool is really small, the staff at the pool is not trained so drinks were terrible and service was just ok. Other than that it is a beautiful resort, golf was awesome. If your room is close to their venue for parties you will hear it until it ends, so if you have small children I would request to stay away from that area.

We love coming to Austin and when we get a chance to stay at the Omni Barton Springs, the trip just becomes even better. The hotel facility & staff are great; the location & the view are spectacular. The kids love the swimming pool and hot tub - the pool cabana staff are always there to service you with smiles.

Very limited electrical outlet accesibility in rooms. Very country club feel. Great staff, and valet especially Anthony! (This older, but renovated, property was likely built before electronic devices everywhere, and all the outlets in my room were behind heavy bureau and headboard.) Easy fix with a power strip extension.

Had a great golf trip, even though it was hot. We played the Crenshaw Cliffside course mainly due to the Fazio Foothills being aerated. We had played the other course in Spicewood last time, but did not feel like making the 30 minute drive to play. There were not many people on the course due to the heat, but the course conditions were very nice.

This is our third trip to this hotel. Staff is lovely and super friendly. However the positive aspects end there. The entire property is not maintained or very clean. Rooms are warn, complete with stained and torn fabric. Pool water and pool area is old and dirty and the common spaces are crumbling with dents, dings and peeling paint. It looks like this was once a beautiful property. It's ashamed to see it in such disrepair.

We recently hosted a sales conference at this hotel. It was a very good experience. The wifi worked well, the food was excellent, and the staff was helpful. It is much more affordable than downtown Austin, but the location is a bit out of the way. The grounds are beautiful, especially if you love golf.

Very nice hotel especially if you are a golfer with very clean rooms. Restaurants have good food and the breakfast buffet has a wide variety of selections. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a variety of shops in the hotel with quality merchandise.
